Description of Work: I needed a sink replaced. They came and looked at my sink and said they would get back to me on an estimate. 4 days later I finally called them and was told I should order the sink and then they would put it in. My granite sink cut out is a non standard size, so special ordering a sink is no easy task. If I wanted to do it myself I wouldn't have bothered calling someone else to handle the job. When the plumber told me I should order it myself he couldn't even tell me where to find one that would fit. I'll find someone who wants to try a little harder to do the job.

Description of Work: Removed and replaced spigot on outside of house.

Description of Work: They did not have the proper tools. Had to use other means to complete the job.

Description of Work: They eventually unclogged the sewer line under the house. All snaking, etc. methods failed so they had to jackhammer the cement pad to access the clogged line. They had to jackhammer in two spots as the first place wasn't exactly where the clog was. The lines have been draining OK since.

Description of Work: I had used MC Plumbing before and was very impressed with his performance and straight forward honesty. This time I had him install a Kitchen faucet I had purchased. He did his usual great job.

Description of Work: Repaired outside faucet and drained hot water heater. We always call MC Plumbing for all our plumbing needs. I just referred my neighbor to them today.

Description of Work: They did a hot water heater replacement on an emergency basis. Hot water heaters often start leaking and have to be replaced quickly. The price was fair. The plumber advised us to call a water remediation company and had a recommended company. I don't think there was anything wrong with our pad; it just got wet but is still sound. He did not install a pan under the heater and said that it's not required by code. A pan is cheap and I would expect one to be installed. More importantly, the tank did not have an earthquake strap and he did not install one until I asked. It was a $55.00 add. The earthquake strap is required by code so a licensed plumber should not leave a job without either installing one or getting a disclaimer from the owner stating that it was refused. It should be included in the price of the job. The fact that he was going to leave the job without the earthquake strap leads me to believe that he didn't pull a permit. When you pull a permit, the work could be inspected by the City or County plumbing inspector. No one would leave a job without the earthquake strap if they knew that they could be inspected. I don't see how there can be any excuse for this. The plumber asked us to fill out the Angie's List survey after we paid. We gave a good rating in front of the plumber to avoid a confrontation and get rid of him. |

Description of Work: Replaced the sewage line from house to street. They did the job as required. I was happy with their work even though I though they were a little pricy. However they had to return several times to repair damage caused to my irrigation system.

Description of Work: It turned out not to be a plumbing problem but the technition diagnosed the actual cause of the problem and offered useful suggestions about how do go about solving it.
