+ -1 moreI called thinking there was a leak under my slab. It turned our\t that it was a lea in my hot watder heater. They replaced the heater for 940 dollars, which was the price other companies would have charged without the 15% DISCOUNT. When it still appeared that there was still a leak they proposed changing every cold water pipe in my house for a cost of $3500 to $4000 dollars. The water company suggested I use a leak detection company, shich I did. They found the leak and thhe cost, including replacfement of the main line was under 1800 dollars. This company is a ri;p off artist.
Description of Work: Installed new hot water heater.. I thinik (15%m discount notwithstanding) they overcharged me. They also triedo sell me on the fact that I had a leak in my cold water pipes and it would cost me 3500 - 4000 dollars. I don't think they are trustworthy.

Description of Work: My refrigerator began making horrible loud noises and when I called late in the day they were not able to get anyone out to me until the following morning. The service man was prompt... in fact early, very neat, clean and professional. Of course the noise stopped just before he got there but he still looked it all over and asked a lot of questions about the sound of the noise and tried to figure out just where the noise was coming from. Since we could not determine what it was or why or where, he waited around for awhile and checked it all over again. Rather than replace what we suspected may be wrong with it he refused to do anything and gave me 90 days for him to come back free of charge if the noise started back up again. He saved me a couple of hundred dollars by being responsible enough to NOT replace a part if it did not need to be done for sure.That kind of service is priceless and very much appreciated. If I hear any more noises I will most definitely call this company whether my 90 days is up or not. Thank you so muchl

+ -1 moreI had water leaking through my dining room ceiling and called at 10 am. They said they could be there between 12 - 2 the same day and showed up at 12:10. Fernando came in and was able to quickly find the problem and explain what was going to need to be done. Before he began to fix it he called the guys to come that would be removing all the dry wall. This was great because just as he was finishing fixing the plumbing the other guys got there, it was a huge time saver. Fernando fixed the problem quickly and everyone was extremely courteous neat. I was expecting to have dust everywhere as they had to remove a lot of dry wall and insulation but these guys did a great job cleaning up. I was very impressed and overall the service was great. If I ever need plumbing work done again MC Plumbing will definitely be getting a call from me.
Description of Work: I had water leaking through my dining room ceiling which was caused by some bad sodering done on a manifold that was in the ceiling.

The work was completed within 1 hour. Although the price might seem high for 1 hour, it seems very reasonable compared to plumbers I've used in the past.

He said he could do the repair/replacement immediately. We were not prepared for such quick service! So, we scheduled for the next day, Wednesday. All work seemed to be very appropriate.We will use this company again.

+ -1 moreOn August 17, 2011 the Las Vegas Valley Water District (LVVWD) meter reader was in the neighborhood reading meters and he couldn't get a reading on our meter. I was home and he lifted the plate on the meter and water was rushing in. The next day LVVWD sent a representative out to determine if the water leak was theirs or ours--of course it was our leak. After consulting an Angies List member, we called MC Plumbing. They were prompt and professional. We got an estimate from them and another company and decided to go with MC Plumbing. Instead of relying on hunt and peck for the leak, we decided to replace the whole water line to avoid further leaks. (We had a previous small leak six years ago--$800 with another company) We were leaving town the next day and they showed up on time and when we left they communicated by text and phone photos with the progess and completion of the project. We were totally satisfied with the company's work.

This was not called in as an emergency. They respondded same day and were very professional, and as far as I can tell they did a very good job. I feel the price was almost 2x higher than what I would have expected for a simple visit and service.

Description of Work: Repaired pinhole leak in copper pipe by replacing a 1 foot section of pipe. He worked quickly and proffessionally. Quoted us a reasonable price. Description of Work: Our water heater needed to be replaced and we already had the loop for a water softener. There quote included everything but the earthquake straps for the water heater (including the water heater.) We wanted everything to code. They told us that the Kenmore Water Softeners were the best so we purchased that from Sears.

+ -1 moreI found them on the magazine that I got from Angie’s List. They were really nice and prompt. They came out and told me what was needed. I told them that we needed to have it done. So, they went ahead and did it. The plumber went to a store and got the supplies. I spent about $360 for their services. Mark, the owner was very helpful on the phone when I explained my problem. Then we had a miscommunication. They came and they knocked on the door, but I didn’t hear them. So, when I called them back to ask if they were coming up, they said that they were here two hours ago. So, he said that wasn’t a problem and said that he would still have someone come out. Then they had someone out here at 6:45 in the evening. The plumber stayed till 8:30 and he was really nice. He explained all my options and that’s what I liked about him. He said which wiring he could do and explained all the different costs. I would definitely go with them again if I need a plumber.
Description of Work: I used the services of MC Plumbing on the 30th of July to fix the plumbing to our fridge since we had some difficulty with it.

Description of Work: The plumber arrive on the time agreed upon and performed the service, which was to install a kitchen faucet that I had purchase from home depot. I had all the supplies needed for the job and was surprised at the price quoted. I was given a 10% discount for being an Angies list member and another 5% senior discount. The job took 30 minutes, nice rate and a lesson learned. Check hourly rate before the job has started.

Jose arrived around 1 pm, removed his shoes (thank you!), inspected the problem, described all the conditions he might encounter during the repair and provided an estimate. During the repair, he showed and discussed each part he recommended be replaced, or not replaced, based upon our final approval. He finished the repair, the water heater maintenance, and left the bathroom and garage neat and clean, all within two hours. He probably would have finished earlier had we not asked him so many questions. Jose was professional in every sense of the word. He was knowledgeable, polite, patient and amiable. We were also impressed with MC Plumbing's scheduling personnel and service fleet. After two previous less than stellar plumbing experiences, Angie's List will be our resource from now on.
Description of Work: Water heater was inspected and drained. Toilet was disconnected and removed to repair a water leak and broken mounting bolt at the base of the fixture.

After reviewing areas to be repaired, he provided and initial estimate, detailing standard rates and then offering discounts for multiple services. He provided updates of progress and advised me of unusual circumstances (I.e., need to cut a small hole in the wall behind the washing machine, possibility of the torch causing smoke and setting of the smoke alarms.) All areas were cleaned up appropriately after the work was completed.

The Mr Rooter Tech who arrived seemed to almost not have any idea what was needed (he had no idea what a Life Ionizer was). The Mr Rooter Tech quoted me $261 and when I asked if that included the 20% discount he didn't hesitate to say yes it was included in the quote but I am 99% positive he had no clue what discount I was talking about because it was supposed to be from their association with Life Ionizers but he had no idea about Life Ionizers or the deal prior to my asking. I asked Mr Rooter Tech to please leave and thanked him for his time. The MC Plumbing Tech arrived within 20 minutes later.The MC Plumbing Technician was prompt, professional and the work was of high quality. The quote was reasonable though I still feel was a bit high but it was a Sunday, they were there quickly and the Technician that was sent was a pro. I believe his name was Saul and he was great! Highly recommended.

He worked very hard and was very friendly and professional. I spent more than I expected. $362 for the main clog and had to have a toilet removed because we couldnt find the main access in the front of the house. Overall had a good experience. I dont know what the going rate for this service is but they definately put in the hours completeing the work.

Installed earthquake straps because water heater is on platform. Recommended and called water damaged experts who looked at the area of the leak, and found no permanent damage. Great job!
