Description of Work: I signed up for the special deal of $99.00 for 2 hours of plumbing service. What I needed done was a new faucet in the kitchen and two new faucets in the upstairs restroom. I purchased the faucets prior to his arrival. The work completed was a new faucet in the kitchen, with new hot & cold water controls under the sink replaced and one of the faucets upstairs replaced.

My repair was causing quite a leak in my garage, and the plumber spent a good 30 minutes fixing it, but did not accept payment, because in his view the job was minor. (However leaking water was not minor to my bill! : ) Many thanks. Would use again!
Description of Work: Tightened a pipe int the garage that had been leaking for weeks, and we couldn't get it stopped.

I had purchased the two-hour Big Deal of the Day and the toilet job took less than an hour; therefore, I had Saul remove the stopper from four bathroom sinks to clear any debris that had accumulated over the years. He also had time to discuss estimates and scope of work on some potential future jobs. His service was fantastic. Price was right, job was done well....I highly recommend this company to other Angie's List members.
Description of Work: Replaced broken bolt at base of toilet which required removing commode and replacing wax ring. (I had purchased a new wax ring at the hardware store prior to making the plumbing appt.)

Jose had us fill the tub with water, run the sinks, flush the comode, everything you would do in a bathroom to see if we could not determine where the water had come from on one occasion. We then determined it had come from the outside patio cover. Needless to say, we were very pleased it had nothing to do with our inside plumbing. We simply told Jose what the problem had been and let him advise us as to how to proceed to see if we had a leak. He definitely knew what he was doing. And he did a ver good job.
Description of Work: MC Plumbing arrived earlier than our appt., but had called to make sure it was o.k. with us. Jose was our plumber and he was quite professional and really knew what he was doing. Advised us to allow him to cut a hole in our kitchen ceiling to determine if we had a leak in our bathtub in our master suite, rather than cutting a hole in the floor upstairs or cutting a hole in the stucco and coming in from the outside. He really knew his business and we relied on his expertise. So after cutting the hole, he checked, checked and re-checked and determined we had no leak in our bathtub or any pipes coming from the bathrooms above. We were very pleased with his work, professionalism, confidence and honesty. He vacuumed up after he was finished. We would definitely use MC Plumbing again in the future and would definitely ask for Jose. The $99.00 was the Angie's member special for 3 hours of plumbing, which worked out beautifully for us.

 + -1 moreMC plumbing got started at 7:30 Am on a friday morning laying down plastic in all rooms to protect house hold products. Then cut holes in all walls that had copper tubeing in them to cut out. Ran all new lines to all. Hade water by 7:30 Pm that night. Saturday the inspector came out to check the job site, was A OK. Sheet rock group came in and started to put back the cut out sheet rock, this was at about 1:30 Pm they finished at 6:30Pm. Came back sanded and painted, walla you can't tell where the holes were. A Very d*** good job.
Description of Work: It was a replum of whole house. From the estimate to finish all employees and subcontractors were performing there jobs at task to finish in the time specfied.

 + -1 moreMC Plumbing was hired for a diagnostic check on the 2 gas fireplaces in our home. Also, we needing plumbing for bathroom sink moved about 6 inches. The gentleman that arrived worked on the first fireplace and gave us a good report. The second fireplace he barely looked at, said it appeared it had never been used and parts were missing. His suggestion was to contact an appliance store. WHAT? That what he was hired for, to tell me what I needed, not to pass us off to someone else. He proceeded to the bathroom project and did a good job. Considering the 3 jobs as a whole, I can not give this company an "A", due to his response to the second fireplace issue. He wanted nothing to do with it. We felt the price was a fair price. The quality of work in the bathroom was the best, followed by the bedroom fireplace. We felt his response to the second fireplace was unprofessional, and therefore would rate our experience with this company with a "C"
Description of Work: After purchasing our home thru a short sale, we felt it in our best interest to have a diagnostic check on the 2 gas fireplaces in the home. MC Plumbing was hired for the diagnostic check as well as plumbing for bathroom sink moved about 6 inches.

 + -1 moreI called MC Plumbing on a Saturday and they had someone out to take a look at our issue (low water pressure) very promptly that afternoon. Unfortunately, they did not have the valve on the truck, so we set up an appointment for Tues at 0900. The plumber showed up about 30 minutes late (not too bad, but drops Punctuality Rating from A to B) and replaced the valve in less than an hour. As he turned the house water back on, he noticed that the pipes around my water heater were leaking quite badly. He was able to replace the pipes and a fitting on the spot, having to do battle with a rather cranky water heater. I was very pleased with the service, the plumber was nice and professional (I think his name was Saul). I wouldn't call it cheap, but what is now-a-days? I will definitely use them for future plumbing needs.
Description of Work: Replaced main pressure valve for house, repaired leaking water heater pipes.

Others said we had to break into walls($600.00); Take out plants(hire a gardener); dig up the driveway(who knows how much). We were pleased with the work. The plumber was Jose and the assistant was Victor. They did an excellent job and were very professional, pleasant, and neat.

The serviceman came immediately, assessed the situation, left to get a new water heater. I would say within one hour from when he arrived he had the new heater installed. Very nice man. Slight 'miscue' on punctuality - was originally scheduled for 1-3:00 pm - but dispatcher called early in the day, when I was at doctor's appointment, requesting to reschedule earlier. I missed the message, and they came late (3:40), but worked efficiently, and all was AOK. YES, I'd use them again.

During the troubleshooting of the problem, it was discovered that a water leak between the house and the main existed. They provided a free estimate of that cost. All in all... a pro company with courteous and knowledgeable personnel.
Description of Work: I recently moved into a new house and discovered there was no cold water flow at the sink. In addition, there was a RO water system installed underneath the sink that was not working.

 + -1 moreThe shower hadn't been used until my sister came to visit, used the shower, and the drain backed up into the stall once again. I called MC Plumbing. The plumber arrived 15 minutes before the appointed time. He re-snaked the line, ran the shower and told me that it was clear. There was no additional charge. He also used a camera in the sewer line and found that it needs to be hydro-jetted. Two things: 1-the plumber was in a hurry to get home Dec. 3. 2-I'd been told that the sewer line needed to be viewed with a camera by two plumbers, but neither had the equipment with him. ( I have used MC Plumbing on at least 3 previous occasions. Don't companies keep records of their clients????)
Description of Work: Recurring problem with clogged drain in bedroom shower. Plumber snaked kitchen clean-out per my request as MC Plumbing had told me previously that in my older homes the kitchen and shower line were connected. After flushing the bathroom toilet 10 times and snaking 45 ft. of pipe, I was told the line was cleared.

 + -1 moreGood job: Just happened to be selling the Bradford White unit that we anticipated buying from advance research on the internet, and at a price that was competitive considering that he included earthquake straps, new fittings, drip pan (but no plumbing,) gas line trap, testing, and haul away of the old unit with the installation. (Also had anticipated I would buy as the installer had the new water heater in his van when he arrived to give me an estimate.) Discount was given as an Angie's list customer. Installed the drain pipe myself. Very satisfied.

He said he could fix it and it would cost $148.75 after a 15% discount. We said, "fine go ahead and fix it". 30 minutes later we paid him and the problem was history. It did seem that the charge was a little high but we did agree to it in advance.
Description of Work: The pipe below the garbage disposal in our kitchen was plugged up. The plumber took it apart and cleaned it out. End of problem. Time spent about 30 minutes

 + -1 moreThe bathtub wouldn't drain. The plumber from MC Plumbing was "Saul." He arrived on time and was very knowledgeable. He had to cut into the wall next to the bathtub and later take up some of the linoleum floor in order to replace corroded pipes. He had all the tools necessary for the job. When he was finished he completely cleaned up the mess. He applied the discount that MC Plumbing offers through Angie's List. I would use the same company in the future.

 + -1 moreI called up MC Plumbing for a bunch of plumbing work to be done and they dispatched Jose to give me estimates. I had a broken sprayer on the old kitchen faucet that I wanted replaced and was told that it would be impossible to find an exact match, with a 9 year old faucet. (I figured as much in my failed attempts to find the exact model no. on the internet) So Jose suggested I get one from Home Depot or Lowes of better quality and price than what he could provide. Turned out to be a good choice since they do not seem to make the separate faucet and sprayer units anyway, and I wanted a faucet/sprayer combo anyway. Then there was the disposal unit which hadn't worked for a year and half. Jose tried doing a quick fix be trying to loosen a bracket at the bottom, that was a no go. And finally I needed a toilet tank to be replaced, but as with the kitchen faucet I pretty much had to replace the whole toilet. I had a 15% off deal from Angie's List, so the estimate was what I figured about right. Made an appointment the next day for Jose and his helper to come out and - as the blue collar guy says - Git yer done. So they came out and did the work in 2 or 21/2 hours the next day as agreed. Everything proceeded smoothly and Jose even cleaned the bottom of the kitchen cabinet, which had all the leakage from the sprayer and disposal. Thanks Jose! About the only con was the lateness both at the estimate and actual times, But communication was good in that Jose would call and say he'd be late by a half an hour or so and then arrive at that time.
Description of Work: They installed a kitchen faucet that I provided. They put in a replacement toilet and installed a garbage disposal unit.

Description of Work: Our main drain to our septic tank was clogged. I decided to join Angie's List because we have had bad experiences with plumbers in the past. I read many comments posted under the plumbing category anticipating my search for the perfect company. I selected MC Plumbing, despite one disgruntle man's comment, seeing through his statement. I called at 6:30 AM and left a message not expecting a call back until 7:00-7:30 AM. To my surprise, Scott (the owner-an experience plumber) called within minutes. Scott was personable and I felt at ease immediately. I described the problem, he concurred it was a blocked drain. Fernando was sent to fix the problem. Fernando had a MC Plumbing truck, logo shirt, a smile on his face, and eluded professionalism, very refreshing! Fernando worked on the problem explaining every step of the procedure. Just a couple of months ago, we hired a plumber that quickly (within 20 minutes) used his faulty snake and declared it was fixed. Obviously it was not, since the blockage was accumulating for quite some time. So Fernando snaked the blockage over and over again until he knew the blockage was cleared. He asked me to run the bathtub water so we could watch the flowing water turn clear as it flowed into our septic tank as he again ran the snake for another 5 minutes. Yes, we uncovered the septic tank lid and watched as the blockage was penetrated by the snake and witnessed the toilet tissue released into the septic tank. Fernando brought a problem to my attention. He showed me standing water in the drain compared to the west side drain where it has a trickle of water. Fernando suggested in the future we may want to run a camera in the drain to look for "bellies" because of the standing water. I appreciate that he did not presssure us to do this procedure now, although we will move forward to see if there something wrong with that section of the pipe. Fernando offered suggestions to elimate the problem in the future, I appreciated his comments.
