Warren's Moving

Roy & Jordan arrived at our 2nd floor walk up apartment at 7 am sharp. They had smiles on their faces & looked around each room to decide where to start. When I had originally called to schedule the appointment with Rowena three weeks before, I had not yet packed the boxes but gave an accurate list of large furniture pieces. I had almost 20 additional boxes than I had originally said, but in confirming the appointment with Kristine a couple days before the move she did not wish to confirm any additional information than the date & pick up address. These two movers worked on one of the hottest days, with sun & humidity and had to take items from a second floor apartment to a third floor apartment walk up. It was so hot, that I wet paper towels & put them in the freezer, so that every couple of trips upstairs I could hand them the towels to put on their face, neck & head to try & avoid heat exhaustion. They worked quickly & without taking a break for five hours straight. They were clean cut & did not take up time with too much small talk...they did make me feel comfortable working with them and always had a nice smile in between the our repeated runs up & down the stairs. At my asking, they put some quilted covers down to protect the rug at the new apartment, and did not scratch or break any items or walls. I loved working with Warrens Homework from start to finish and made sure to give the movers a nice tip each. They deserved it.

I booked this company at very short notice and John & Pete moved all the items I couldn't and I can't speak highly enough about the job they performed. They arrived slightly earlier than arranged which was good for me, then worked feverishly, taking very good care to protect my possessions. At the destination everything was placed and set up where I needed it. I thoroughly recommend these guys and the firm itself, the pricing is crystal clear with no hidden extras. Totally professional, totally satisfied. Thanks again.

Dave and Chris arrived on time on the morning of the move. Mostly everything was already in the garage ready for them to load into their truck. There were only a few large items in the rooms upstairs that needed to be moved downstairs. We were moving from a small two bedroom townhouse to a new house. The move should have gone fairly quickly since mostly everything was already prepped and we don't have too much stuff. I instructed them on what was going and on the few items that would be staying. Chris kept asking me what was going because they didn't mark any of the items. They took over three and a half hours just to load everything!!! I actually feel like they took longer just to rack up the time. Occasionally they would make casual conversation, Dave was okay, but Chris was a little too comfortable. He even went as far as asking my age!!! Not too professional if you ask me! Once the truck was loaded instead of following me to the new house they decided to go get drinks. That was fine, however, I just assumed they would subtract the time since they weren't working, well they didn't! When they finally got to my new house the unloading took longer than I expected. It should have been fairly quick considering that they were going to put everything in the garage with the exception of a few large furniture items I needed moved upstairs. During the unloading they took another break but this time they did say that they would deduct it from my time. Chris looked in my new fridge, asked me who would be living in my new house and a series of other questions like that. They rolled their dirty dollies into my new house on my brand new carpet!!! At one point they bumped into one of my walls and left a blue stain from one of their shirts. I think they felt bad because Chris said that he would deduct half an hour from my time, really he didn't deduct anything because their first break was at least 15 minutes if not more and when you add their second 15 minute break they weren't doing me any favors! After six and a half hours Chris brought out some paperwork for me to sign. He brought out a pricing sheet and showed me that he was charging me for six hours instead of six and a half. The price I was quoted was $130 an hour so it should be $730 for six hours, well the sheet he showed me and what he wrote on the paperwork was $858. I took out my cell phone and used the calculator to show him how it didn't add up. He immediately stated that he pulled out the wrong sheet and apologized. I honestly feel like he was trying to pull a fast one. They wanted me to rate them, which I didn't. The more that I think about the experience the more I wish I would have chosen a different company. If you want to be overcharged, hire these guys!

as soon as the men arrived they intrpoduced themselves, asked for a walk around to see what was being moved. after that they went to work and never stoped untill the truck w2as loaded. When we arrived at the new location, they went to work again, it seemed the more they worked the quicker the worked. They really seemed to like what they were doing, did it with pleasure and professinalism.

Warren's homework was punctual and quick. I was on a limited budget and I needed them to finish as quickly as possible. They did their best to meet my needs. If you want them to take extra time and be careful they accommodate that too. I got the impression they would do anything I asked if it were possible. They helped me remove curtains and kept track of what I needed them to move and what I planned to move myself. They were very friendly and helpful. A family member had a different team a week later and they were equally satisfied with a different team, so it seems the entire company is top notch, not just the two guys who moved me. They are a little more expensive than some other moving companies, but you are guaranteed a good experience. After seeing them move my stuff, I wouldn't trust anyone else.

Pete and James did a wonderful job. It was 105 degrees outside and they did an awesome job. They were polite and paid the utmost respect to my family. I recommend using Warrens Homework and try to have Pete and James move you. A+++++ work.

They were very pleasant and efficient. This was my first experience with Angies list, I will continue to find my services here.

I moved from one apartment to another in the same complex, but far enough apart to necessitate using a truck and moving company. Scott and Matt J. from Warrens arrived within the time I was told and the whole job was done in 2 hours. They were very professional, friendly and efficient. Scott even fixed my tv stand, which was starting to fall apart. They shrink wrapped my antique desk, covered the mattresses, etc. and took special care with all the furniture. (I wish I could have afforded to give them larger tips, they were so good!) Hopefully I won't have to move again any time soon, but if I do, I will definitely use Warrens again.

They were worth the money; they even took off their shoes. They were very respectful.

I had used Warren's at the end of November when I moved into my house; it was a local move from Las Vegas to Henderson. They were so professional and careful with my stuff that I naturally thought of Warren's first for this move. Ann, in the office, was fantastic to work with to get the logistics all set up. Joel and Marvin are the consummate professionals and very friendly also. They give one a sense of confidence that the job will be done well; and it was! Joel and Marvin arrived on Thursday night in CA, ahead of the Friday morning move time. They contacted my girlfriend (her sister's house is where the furniture was being moved from) on time and did a tremendous job breaking down the furniture, getting it out of a two-story home and organized beautifully and with great care on the truck. They then drove back to Las Vegas and on Saturday morning they appeared at my house in Henderson, on time and ready to work. They set-up or placed everything just how we wanted; there was a problem getting the refrigerator to fit and they worked with me, without complaint, to get it resolved. Joel and Marvin were very careful not to damage anything and took extra measures to keep the house as clean as poosible. They finished on time & the price came in at exactly what was estimated. We could not be any happier with Warren's Homework and I highly recommend them for any move you have.

This was a great experience as the two movers were very proffesional and hard working. They showed up on time and didnt stop working until they had moved everything.

We obtained 3 bids for the move: two national companies (United and Van Lines) and Warren's. Although Warren's bid was perhaps 10% higher than the other two, we decided to use them based on our very positive experience with them on a previous local move. We were a bit concerned as Warren's is primarily a local move company, but, their quality and care was so good on our previous move we decided to pay the premium and chance their capabilities to do a long move. Initially everything progressed as planned and they did an excellant job of crating 3 valuable pieces and packing the breakables, valuables, pictures, etc.. The issues began,however, with the actual loading of the 53' trailer. There had been some concern on their part that everything would'nt fit. We discussed the cost if a second truck was needed, but indicated it would not be accepatable. When the actual people that were going to do the move reviewd the house and storeage lockers, they said they could make everything fit so we agreed to let them handle the move. Late on loading day, when the lockers were being loaded, it became apparant everything wasn't going to fit, and, a second smalller truck would be needed. To Warren's credit, after discussing, they agreed to eat the additional expense (which was considerable) if we were willing to give them some pieces of furniture which we previously were going to donate to charity, plus a few others. So, we had two trucks and two drivers to Florida. When it all arrived, we helped Scott and James (the rig drivers) unload as the volume of work was more than they and two local guys could handle in one day.Scott and James worked their butts off and were extremely careful with the unload. In all, we only had a few scratches and a broken handle for damage. PS-Warren's quote included insurance, which the others did not. When deciding who to use, look at the insurance cost and deductibles very closely as it can add a significant cost to the move (in our case $2,000+)

They were on time, prompt, careful with my stuff, and it was a great experience!

The movers were punctual and courteous. They took care with my things and I have not found any noticeable damage. They also kept an accurate time sheet for the time work was performed. A pleasant experience.

They are a big company and they do a lot of moving around here. I believe I found them off of Angie?s List. Their quality of work was good, and they were fast and punctual. They weren?t the cheapest but I guess I was comfortable with the price.

Briefly, remarkable care with all my stuff, plenty of padding, offered but did not push me to purchase additional packing materials (later I discovered that their prices were actually lower than other vendors for packing materials). The two movers did it all, with both courtesy and care. It was a bloody hot day, but that did not affect them in providing a great service. In essence, they had to move stuff out of my house, then pack the truck in such a way as to be able to "unpack" at two different locations. They took great care in storing my stuff at the self-storage, arranging everything to prevent any damages during storage. I've had lots of moves in my day; this move was the best. So far, I have found no damage--not even a scratch--on my stuff as a result of this move. Great job.

Two great guys come and move my stuff like they were moving their own home. This was my second time with Warren's Homework and the took the exact same time as they did last time and were outstanding!!! I don't know why everyone doesn't use them?!!

Very profession. Handled all items with care and did an excellant job in shrink-wraping all pieces. Tried to accomodate us as much as possible. Worked very hard and only took a 5 minute break over 4 1/2 hrs. Will definately use them again and highly recommend them!!

We called Warren's Homework and they were able to come out in 30 minutes (which we REALLY appreciated). The guys were very professional and they moved some items downstairs to the garage before unloading the trailer/truck and putting things upstairs. The only problem (?) is they require a 2 hour minimum (as does everyone else) and the job took 45 minutes. But when it was over we were glad we paid the money as we didn't want to lug everything upstairs to the second floor. Thank you for a job well done and ESPECIALLY for coming right away.

Excellent start to finish. Move went exactly as the estimator planned, including time, cost etc. Some packing was required. The glass from a large painting was broken during the move. The mover pointed out the break as soon as he found it and assured me it would be repaired. They took the print with them at the end of the day to their in-house repair department. It was returned to me 4 business days later with a new glass in the frame along with the $300 receipt that they paid to have the work done.

This was terrible and I will end up in litigation over their alleged service and insurance.

I called the company, arranged a moving date and time, and estimated the scope of the moving task. They told me the price was to be $130 per hour for two men, and a moving truck - and I understood there were no other charges. The arrived at 7 A.M. on the designated day, as agreed. They reviewed the tasks at hand and quickly began the process of wrapping the furniture pieces in plastic and loading into their truck. Items: Sofa, two upholstered chairs, large coffee table, large side table, armoire, king size bed and frame, headboard, two nightstands, large dresser, large mirror, two workbenches. The whole moving process; packing, loading, moving, unloading, and carrying into the new house took almost two hours. I was surprised that I had to pay additional $12 for plastic materials as I had not expected that. But it may have been mentioned on the initial phone call - they seemed to be pretty direct and clear, so I didn't argue about that. In all it was a very clean job.

We used Warren's Homework for a very complicated move from a home to a storage locker and then to a tradeshow and back again. We had to go to marshaling yards, deal with red tape from an exposition organization and all kinds of pick ups and drop off locations. The two gentlemen that worked with us were so professional, on time, even eager to do our bidding and they were fun to spend the day with, as well! We will use them again and again as we do this twice yearly. We couldn't have asked for better and the total cost was for pick up and delivery and then back again 10 days later, much more reasonable than any other services I have used for trade shows in over fifteen years!

They put a dent in our dryer they ended up coming out to fix it. I reported it within the time frame they required the receptionist apologized about it. Workers said they didn't to it then they looked at it and said they would replace it it took them 3 months.

Absolutely the worst!! Totally unprofessional! The container truck arrived simultaneously, Warrens looked inside and gave me papers to sign. There was a mismatch of the lift gate to container that was a problem, but not insurmountable. With some maneuvering, the crew unloaded several pallets of stone crates into my garage. They were understandably concerned of the difficulty of maneuvering the pallet jacks and shifting of crates. After 1 hour, they called their boss to ask for more men. Their boss said he would come over. After another 45 minutes arrived, never even acknowledged me looked a the container and abruptly and very brusquely turned to me and said" we are not going to do this". I asked him just to get a couple more guys and he said no....period! This was midday Saturday on a long Holiday weekend, the container truck was on schedule and had to return immediately to LA and obviously NO other moving companies were open; they put me in a very very bad situation. Please note the 2 workers were fine, and I had no problem with them; they just needed more help. In fact that was all that was needed...manpower. This boss was totally unwilling to help or advise what or whom I could get to help me; he just didn't give one damn...it was MY problem....they were gone; left within minutes! (PS: You need to take some customer service and civility training, Boss!) I could not get ahold of one company open at that day and time. At this point, I was extremely upset and stressed. The choice was for these truckers to take the container all the way back to LA and charge me again to bring it back (At a cost of $ thousands!) or me pay for them staying in LV the weekend until after the holiday (also at a cots of much $$). Problem was, they had to meet a schedule and get back to LA. But, these 2 truckers, whose schedule was also totally screwed by Warrens abandonment, thought and gave me a constructive solution; find a couple more day laborers at a home depot store and collectively, they would unload it. However, the container bed was 5' above the pavement; how to get this heavy crates down? Simple, gang some 2x4s together and make a ramp to slide them down, which is what we did. This positive and generous attitude from these 2 guys who didn't have to do anything for me, plus some resourceful/constructive ideas solved this seemingly tough problem into really a simple effort. All we had was one small 4 wheeled dolly and we moved this whole container full of stuff into my garage in 2-1/2 hours. And what about Warrens? I paid all these truckers and workers less that I would have had to pay these other guys, plus we became friends in the process. My heart goes out to people like this who try to help, solve a problem and not look for ways to avoid hard work. To Warrens, I only have total and absolute disdain.....Period!! Approximate cost clarification. $425 went to the drivers and day laborers; nothing to Warrens.
