+ -1 moreOverall, it went well. Nothing was broken or damaged. They packed the truck as if they were moving our things across the country instead of a local move.I'm not sure i would use them again. Their prices were high.
Description of Work: Warrne's Homework done a great job moving us. However, we ran into problems when the movers weren't advised they had to pack and move our piano which they were't prepared for. I specfically reviewed my notes to make sure I had advised them of piano and the packing. They didn't come prepared. The movers did get packing supplies delivered, but it put them behind an hour which we had to pay for. They moved the piano without proper equipment which made me nervous because the piano was banged around more than it should have been. I don't blame the movers, under the circumstances they done the best they could. They were polite, friendly and professional. They didn't waste any time. Looking back, I should have called the day before to remind them of the packing and the piano. When I orignally spoke with them it seemed to me they had all the detailed information. We handsomely tipped the movers, again they apologized and done the best they could under the circumstances.

+ -1 moreI got the company name from Angie's List. Everyone was very professional and accommodating. I wasn't sure they would accept the job because it was only 1 piece of furniture and was not going to be leaving the house. From the first contact on the phone to the movers, the job was treated with utmost professionalism as if it was one of their biggest jobs. I was very pleased with the results and the experience.
Description of Work: I had a simple job for them -- move a 7 foot by 5 foot glass and wood china cabinet approximately 5 feet away. Then, return it to it's former place at a later date. The cabinet was in 2 pieces -- the top piece was mostly glass including the back, sides, and shelves.

+ -1 moreWarrens seemed pretty comparable to other moving companies but the one thing that we liked is that they guaranteed our items 100%. All other companies guaranteed up to 60% and offered you to purchase at an additional cost movers insurance. This was our main reason for choosing them. Our move started on a Friday morning, we were told we would have 2 guys and they ended up bringing a total of 4 guys. We have a 2 story house in Las Vegas and they had us packed up and ready to go in only 3 hours. Saturday morning they were at our new home promptly at 9am. With only 2 guys they again, had us all moved in, in 3 hours. I would highly recommend Warrens Homework to anyone in need of movers. They made our move a lot less stressfull.

+ -1 moreWe had two movers provide us with estimates of the cost to move our furniture. We went with Warren's Homework because it was the lower of the two estimates and Warren's has very high ratings. The estimator was courteous and professional. The movers (Louie and Eddie) arrived close to the estimated starting time. They took measures to protect the furniture before loading it on the truck and were very careful in unloading it. They worked very hard and I don't even recall them taking a break during loading or unloading, even though it was very hot. There were instances where we changed our mind on the specific spot where we wanted the furniture put and they graceously moved the items to where we wanted them. They were very pleasant and easy to work with. Nothing was broke during the move. They were very conscientious about logging in the time they started working and the time they finished. Simply an excellent moving crew. The people at the office were also very pleasant and easy to work with.
Description of Work: Warren's Homework moved our dining room, living room, three bedrooms, and patio furniture a distance of 17 miles. We were moving from a one-story home to another one-story home. It was an all-around very positive experience.

+ -1 moreOverall the experience went okay. There was one mover that I did have a small problem with. He claimed that he knew how to install washers and dryers and he actually didn't. He ended up damaging part of the exterior tubing for the equipment. There was another mover who needed direction constantly or he would have caused a problem. We used them get the heavier items in to the home. All in all it was satisfactory and I would hesitate to use them again or recommend them. Also, the price was expensive.
Description of Work: They moved us from SE Las Vegas to NW Las Vegas.

+ -1 moreThe guys from Warren's Homework were wonderful to work with, very professional, and very careful with all the contents of my house. While it did take longer than the estimated time from start to finish (and thus the cost was higher than estimated), the guys were not milking the clock. The worked hard and consistently from start to finish. I think their office will always try to estimate costs low, to help get the job, but I'm sure that's not unusual in the least for moving companies. The bottom line is that while it did cost more than estimated I couldn't have been more pleased with the results. Not a single item damaged in the move, and not a single mess to clean up after they left. I have recommended them to other friends and would continue to do so in the future.

We had 1 large home office, 1 bedroom, and a bunch of other equipment that needed to be moved from our current residence to our new home. Our experience started us calling Warren's Homework office, where we were clearly quoted the hourly price and what to expect, as well as a small window of when the movers would show up. On move day, we received a phone call roughly 1 hour before the movers were to arrive letting us know they were on the way. Awesome! Fabio and Pete showed up, introduced themselves, discussed with us what the general game plan was and then got to work. These guys really worked hard! They plastic wrapped anything that might bump or scratch, and blanket wrapped everything that could break. They wrapped anything with drawers to keep the drawyers closed. They moved a massive mirror without issue. Overall, our experience was a great one. We have an apartment move planned for a family friend about 9 months from now and will definitely be calling Warren's Homework again.

+ -1 moreThe office gave me a heads up call 45 min. before the movers came. Cory and Ernesto arrived as scheduled. They made sure they understood what we needed, loaded up all designated items carefully yet quickly (no damages), and unloaded the same way. Throughout they were pleasant and professional. I was prepared for the 'usual'--surprise fees, very slow loading and unloading, damages... If I'd known how painless and fairly priced Warrens was going to be, I'd have let them do everything and saved myself hours of back-breaking work!
Description of Work: We moved from a rental apt. to a new home a few miles away. Warrens Homework was first positive experience w/ movers and I've moved a lot. I've hired natl. companies (from Bekans to United) and local/regional outfits.

Description of Work: Left message on Angie list website on a Sunday evening and received call early next morning to set appointment for estimate. Called day before to confirm appointment. Arrived on time and completed walk thru and gave estimate. Explained in detail how move would proceed. We did not have confirmed date and would call to schedule. Called confirmed date and they called day before to confirm. 3 workers came 15 minutes early and get a FANTASTIC job very quickly and meet at move location ( they had to deliver on 18th floor of high rise ) and competed 1 hr earlier that anticipated. Crew was great and Thomas who was lead was great, courteous, speedy and highly recommended.

+ -1 moreDelvon and Mario showed up early and asked to see what all needed to be moved. After explaining what needed to be done I signed some paperwork and they got started. The move was quick and they followed me to the storage unit. They unloaded the truck, put everything into the unit and were extremely professional and personable. I will definitely use Warren's Homework again and have already recommended them to friends at work.

+ -1 moreWhen we arrived, as so often happens in a long move, we found that a few items were damaged. To his credit, and in spite of the fact that we were not using his trucks, Warren made us a very equitable settlement of our losses. I was happy with the outcome, and I would recommend Warren's Homework to anyone with a move.
Description of Work: In March 2012 I requested a bid from Warren's Homework in Las Vegas, NV to move my belongings to Lansing, Michigan. The bid was intially more than I could afford, so I leased two trucks from another company, and I hired Warren's Homework to provide four workers to pack my trucks. The workers arrived on time and began to pack the larger of the two trucks. When they were near completion of the first truck they advised me that the second (smaller) truck would not hold the remainder of my belongings. This was very helpful to me, as it saved me from packing a truck, then having to unpack it when it proved to be too small. I was able to locate another large truck and the crew finished packing my stuff. They were right, it took two large trucks to handle all of my belongings. At the same time that the second truck was being loaded, I concluded that my wife should not have to drive a 26 foot diesel truck, so I called Warren at Warren's homework to find out if he could provide me with a driver. Even though it was a Sunday afternoon, Warren was at work and was able to have one of the loading crew join me in my four day drive across America. The driver was professional and competent, and we made our trip without significant mishap.

+ -1 moreThey were 15 minutes early showing up in the morning, (7am, they were there at 6:45) and ready to go. The lead guy started surveying the house, while the other started wrapping up and moving boxes out to the truck. After the lead finished surveying, he started wrapping, packing and moving. After the truck was loaded within a couple hours, we all set out the the new house, and unloaded things, and placed them all in the right place. After the truck was unloaded, we headed back up to the other place, it was lunch time so we picked up Subways for everyone. They took a few minutes to eat... more like scarf it down, and started with the second load. Once the house was cleared out, we headed back to the new house.. unloaded, and were done before 4:30. Only one minor drywall dent, partly my fault was the only damage done. All the furniture and boxes arrived with no problems. It was the best moving experience we've ever had.
Description of Work: They guys helped us move from a 1900 sqft single story to a 3000 sqft 2 story. The did everything in one day, two trips. These guys were the hardest working, fastest crew I've ever dealt with!

+ -1 moreWhen they told me the time they were going to be there and they were johnny on the spot. They worked constantly and did not stop. When they did stop they went off of the clock and did not charge you for the brake time. They did a good job packing, moving and unloading.

Each time they arrived early with all supporting equipment necessary to securely package and transport our household goods across town. The movers were professional, efficient and extremely careful, especially when moving our (extremely heavy) hardwood furniture and leather sofas and chairs. The company charges a flat-rate hourly fee based on the number of movers involved. There were no hidden fees or unexpected charges. Anne was a true pleasure to work with, from initial scheduling through follow-up phone calls to verify all went well and ensure we were completely satisfied with the services provided. This company is highly recommended!
Description of Work: We initially found Warren's Homework on Angie's list. Within a few days a neighbor highly recommended the company based on her prior experiences with the company. We contracted services with the company to help us with two seperate local moves, performed one week apart. Both moves included all major furmiture and household goods, most of which we had boxed up prior to the movers arriving. The first move, out of a 1500 sq. ft townhouse, involved travel of one mile and was completed in six hours. The second move, out of a 1400 sq. ft townhouse, involved travel of 16 miles and was completed in seven hours.

+ -1 moreEverything went find but for one misshap. A large glass display fell on one of the workers while in the process of moving from one room to another and was damaged. Worker was also damaged, but refused any medical help. The display was taken to their shop, repaired and returned.
