+ -1 moreThe tech was very thorough and later explained to me the areas he concentrated on. I had problems with ants in certain trees and bushes and he really doused those. I have not seen an ant since. I will continue to use this company every two months.

+ -1 moreDesert Pest came every other month to spray. They were always professional, inquiried if there were any problems, and polite. If I can continue with the same price, I would not hesitate to use them.
Description of Work: Desert Pest control was a good company. I did have a problem with ants this past Summer as most of Las Vegas. They were very acommodating in making an extra trip out to my home at no extra charge to respray and take care of my problem, which was outdoors around our pool and patio.

They always call ahead to confirm day/date of treatment. I am satisfied and so far and would use them again when I need to sign up next year.

+ -1 moreI thought the amount of spray used was extreme. After he sprayed I had more trouble with cockroaches and ants than I had before he sprayed. Prior to this I had another person do this in my home on a monthly basis and anything that came past the barrier he sprayed were dead. After a few days there were no more problems. If he hadn't retired I would still have him.
Description of Work: The service man was very nice. He sprayed the outside of the house and inside the garage.

+ -1 moreRoaches were in house we bought. We wanted them out as we prepared to move in in one month's time. Daniel came and quickly identified what the bug was and what to do to eliminate them. He did the treatment and then a second. All of this was while we were away. Bugs are all gone. What more could you ask for? Daniel was thorough, professional and obviously good at what he does. We are now a customer on maintance for outside spraying as we have scorpions in our neighborhood.

+ -1 moreI purchased the pigeon control and clean-up package coupon to remove a pigeon nest under the eaves of the house. Alan was responsive, arrived when scheduled, courteous, and thorough. After inspecting the entire property, he noticed a second area that had an old nest and also needed to be fenced to keep pigeons out. He removed the pigeon nests, washed down the roof, and attached wire mesh to keep the pigeons from returning. There have been no repeat problems since the work was completed.

+ -1 moreWe were looking for an exterminator when the saw the special. After reviewing the comments we decided to give it a try. We have signed up for the yearly service. We contacted the company and scheduled an appointment. The first service both the inside and outside was sprayed. He will be back any day to respray. After that, the plan is to only spray the outside. The goal is to keep the bugs out. I like that plan!. The technician was very personable and explained the details. The spray is pet friendly so no worries there. My oh My....I can't believe all the dead bugs on the outside! We have only had one service but at this point we are very satisfied and you can't bet the price.

We had no idea what to expect about bugs and they are so knowledgeable on the bugs for our area and the spray that they use inside and out. They're very informative and very professional. They have their uniforms on so you know who's coming to your door. They are on time and the owner is awesome too. We really like them. On their trucks they have a hose and a tank sprayer and they are a very first class business. He's also with the BBB of Southern Nevada. They guarantee their work all the way to your satisfaction. If you have any insect problem sooner than your date he'll come right out and Al is the owner.
Description of Work: Mountain View Pest Control comes every two months and I paid for one whole year of pest control services.

Description of Work: The company put out a Big Deal coupon for $49.00. I ordered the service because I thought it would be a full service pest spray, inside and out. After all, it was the summer's BIG DEAL service coupon. Sadly, they only did the outside and very sparingly I might add. As far as being punctual, polite and clean, yes, they were all those things. I just felt misled by the Big Deal coupon. I didn't feel the price was such a big deal when so little work was done. They only sprayed around the base of the house and then they left.

+ -1 moreI called and setup an appointment for them to look at my house to do the work. They setup an appointment that same week on friday morning.Friday morning I no one came by and no one called. I therefore left and called them later that afternoon. They apologized and explained that someone had called in sick that morning. We rescheduled for next Monday. They came out Monday was able to quickly evaluate the service and scheduled a time at the end of the week to do the work. They showed up at the end of the week ontime and got right to work. They did the work efficiently and carefully. The work was well done and has kept the pigeons out of that area. Everytime the showed up they were proffessional, easy to talk to and responsive. The only problem with the whole experience was no call no show on the first appointment. After that they did an excellent job.
Description of Work: Remove pigeons and there nesting areas from home. Clean the areas with cleanser and water. Cover the pigeon nesting areas with fencing so they cannot come back.

Description of Work: I responded to an Angie's List Big Deal for this company. We were having ongoing problems with insects inside the house, including scorpions. Based on a description of my house size I was told what the price would be, which included a special scorpion application. The man who did the job was very professional and informative. He was very thorough and sprayed the inside and outside, including around the entire yard.

This company is not accredited with this BBB and our policies prohibit such reference as it is a violation of the Council of Better Business Bureau's trademark rights. On March 27, 2012 and April 5, 2012, BBB requested the company remove the references from all marketing materials including their website. Description of Work: The positive reviews on Angie's list are why I attempted to use this company for my pest control service. My first encounter with the owner, Alan, was overall positive AFTER I told him I found him on Angie's List. He initially comes across abrasive. Nonetheless, I scheduled service weeks in advance for our home to be serviced before we moved into it. 2 days before the service date, I called Alan to confirm service and in his usual abrasive manner, he informed me he could not guarantee the time of service even though we had discussed the issue in detail of him servicing our home while it is vacant. When I needed to drill down an exact time, he immediately sounded irritated and abrupt. I moved forward with the service, once again based on the reviews. The day before service, my husband & I had driven a treacherous 10 hour drive. The day of service, I respectfully called Alan & left a detailed msg on his vm explaining we had a terrible day before, and were running 20 minutes behind and were on our way. I called him 15 minutes before our scheduled time keep in mind. He called me back 5 minutes after the vm I left & was unbelievably rude & abrupt! He barked, "are you on your way?" No good morning, no regard at all for our stress level with moving, just an abrupt barking of "are you on your way?" I answered "yes Alan, I told you that in the msg". He barks back again, "well are you gonna be any more than 20 minutes late?" Wow! Now that's great service, right folks?I had dealt enough with this guy's attitude & treatment of me and told him to leave my property. So...if you live a perfect life, will never ever run 20 minutes behind, & you have no standards of how you like to be treated by a "service" provider, perhaps you've found a great match. I would not pay this guy a single penny, nor would he ever be allowed near my property again!
