Hawthorne was contracted with to install a new gas line and rough and finish plumb a half bath and separate shower. They agreed to work on a time and materials basis because I live up near Mt. Charleston and travel was involved. The plumber they assigned to the job never came when he or the office said he would, and they seldom called to let me know. He never had the supplies and/or tools he needed, so he'd be here for an hour and then leave. If he had the supplies, more than once the tools he had with him that he needed to do the job were broken and didn't work. When I complained, I was told the job was out of their service area. My reply to this was that they shouldn't have taken the job in the first place if that was the case. After finishing only the connection of the new gas line (they didn't even fill in the trench), I got a call that they weren't going to finish the rest of the work and that I had to get another plumber.

They came and did their work. I did not have to worry about them. They answered my questions and were not upset when I asked them.

This was a four-day job, all of it done by Greg, who seemed as eager to find and solve our problem as we were. The main drain was backing up into our laundry and kitchen. After snaking failed to solve the problem, Greg brought the camera in the next day and diagnosed the problem, a combination of 1 1/2" pipes narrowed by accumulation of gunk, and the high volume of water pumped out by our washing machine and water softener. In order to properly reach the drain for cleaning, Greg installed a clean-out at the washing machine. After mechanically scraping the interior of the pipe failed to resolve the problem, Greg returned with the hydro jet and blasted the drain pipe clear. Since then we have had no problems whatsoever. The first day's snaking, as well as the use of the camera, were covered under my home protection plan. Still I got more than my money's worth, paying $275 for almost two full days of Greg's time, along with the clean-out install, mechanical scraping, and then water jetting, especially when I have paid as much as $137 just to have one line snaked for less than an hour. In addition, Greg was thorough, communicative, and obviously took pride in his work.

The plumber was very knowledgeable and helpful. He coordinated with the home warranty company to verify coverage and provided clear explanations and price quotes for anything not covered.

Very happy to find out that a plumber on the list was one that our Home Warranty company referred when I called for help with a leak. Hawthorne called to advise they would be there the next day - the representative arrived promptly. Initial diagnosis was leaking due to a washer placed incorrectly when we attempted our own plumbing job last year! On further investigation the plumber discovered that due to an extremely poor job done by the original builders, the tiling around and under the toilet was completely uneven and therefore the toilet was secured to tiles that are unbalanced causing water leakage. The very professional gentleman scraped away the original grout, cleaned out the overload of wax that was used by the original plumber to secure the system to the tiles then re-secured the set along with new grouting. On completion, he cleaned away the mess and advised that the immediate problem was now fixed. He then explained what needs to be done in the long term (basically ripping out the tiles, jack hammering the floor then installing a new flange and replacing the toilet before re-tiling.) I was advised how long I could expect the newly repaired toilet to work in it's current condition and how much I could roughly expect to have to pay to have it fixed once and for all. I will be contacting Hawthorne Plumbing in the near future to have this additional work done.

They were fast and courteous. They called me back the same day and they showed up right on time for the appointment.

It's really hard to get hold of them and they tried to tell me that all 4 units were leaking and they would have to fix all of them. 2 other companies told me there was nothing wrong with the property.

I was having a hard time finding the replacement pipes. Everyone else had to order it but this company had it in stock. The workers were very clean, nice and professional. They are locally owned which I like. They were also able to schedule me with in 2 days from when I called them. The worker also showed up on time.

They were a little better than average. They were fairly prompt, got the work done on the day they came out.

Hawthorne Plumbing was horrible to work with and had outrageous pricing. They tried to charge me an extra $453 for different stuff that was not necessary. I was not happy with this company.

Hawthorne Plumbing was very convenient for me because it was real close to my home. The man that had come over was very nice and friendly. He explained to me the problem and had it done fast. I have had no problems with my toilet.

Everything turned out exceptionally great. The installation went wonderfully. They were very helpful in finding the exact place for the installation. They explained to me the purpose of testing the soil and they even identified a good area in case I would like to have a future expansion of the system. I am very pleased that everything turned out well. They say that septic tanks clear water from harmful chemicals, but personally, I do not see the difference; however, it is a good thing to have especially if you tend to drink lots of water.

Hawthorne Plumbing was efficient in doing a satisfactory job installing our hot water heater. Everyone was friendly and respectful during the whole process. We appreciated that they cleaned up well after themselves.
