Dave arrived promptly as agreed. Looked at the mess under my sink then explained what he would be doing, and what it would cost. He did what he said, the plumbing was half as complex as the previously installed mess( 3 sinks in one) and he cleaned up the area to pristine when he was done.

I purchased the $80 kitchen faucet deal. Dave (the owner) responded to my purchase on the same day and we set up a data and time that really was important to us. Dave arrived as scheduled (actually a little early) and the work was done in a professional manner and with no problems after completion. Dave is a very polite and friendly man who I would highly recommend for any plumbing job.

David was fantastic! He replaced the guts of the toilet faster than I've ever seen done. He inspected the pipes under one of our bathroom sinks and suggested that if it doesn't leak, it really doesn't need to be replaced. Our house was built in 1963 and the pipes that he was looking at are definitely original to the house. He had to use a lot of ingenuity to fix the pipes under the second bathroom sink. The pipes, as I said, are from 1963 and very stubborn. It took a lot to get the old pipes out in order to put a new drain pipe in. David was very patient and persistent and did a phenomenal job. His price for doing these jobs was extremely reasonable. We will definitely call him again if needed.

I was in a bind because I needed my new kitchen sink and faucet installed during a very specific window on a Saturday, because it was meant as a surprise Christmas gift for my husband and that was the day I'd arranged for a friend to take him out and distract him for long enough for the installation to happen. Another plumber I liked and had used before simply wouldn't come on a Saturday, Home Depot initially said Saturday would work but then the plumber they contracted with also said Saturdays were a no, then the next few places I called would do it, but their prices were much too steep (as in, I'd rather install it myself steep, and I'm almost 7 months pregnant). Then I called Half Price Plumber! The process was painless start to finish. I called him, he answered right away, I told him the details and he gave me a quote right over the phone, including a small discount for being on Angie's List. We were able to schedule a day and time right away, Saturday wasn't a problem, and his price was competitive with the first plumber I wanted and cheaper than Home Depot's quote. I needed to change the time slightly a few days before the install, and that was also painless. He arrived as promised on time--actually, early--but he called me first to make sure the coast was clear! The installation itself went off without a hitch, and the new sink and faucet were beautiful (a single basin matte white Swanstone sink and a "spotless" stainless steel Moen pull-out/pull-down faucet with soap dispenser). Incidentally, he was also good-natured about listening to Christmas music with me (as I wrapped presents) and was nice to my nosy dog, who greeted him at the door. At the end of the day, my husband LOVED the sink. Washing dishes is sort of his "zen" activity, he really enjoys it, but our old sink was ugly, scratched, cramped, and the faucet leaked to the point of occasionally spraying water out of the handle. After his initial shock, the first thing he said after he unwrapped his gift (as in, lifted the gift-wrapped box I'd capped it with) was, "We can wash our baby in this!" The whole surprise was worth it just for that. :)

I bought a Angie's Deal ($80 to install new kitchen faucet). I received an email from Half Price Plummer that same day and was able to set up an appointment for the next day. He was very accommodating with my time schedule as I did not want to miss any work. He arrived on time as scheduled. He removed old faucet and installed new faucet. Tested everything to make sure it was working correctly. Cleaned up area when he was done. All service fees were included in the deal that I purchased. I could not of asked for this job to go any more smoother. I will definitely call him for all my plumbing needs.

He connected me as soon as I purchased the job, set up the time I wanted, was on time, clean cut and one very nice guy. He did a wonderful job and even took care of another problem without me asking.

I purchased a "deal" to have my kitchen faucet replaced. Dave was prompt in arriving, and knew what he was doing. He noticed some rust on our garbage disposal and did a leak test at the end of his installation. He discovered an uncapped hose left over from the deinstallation of a reverse osmosis filter (done by the previous owners). He was able to fix this mystery leak for an additional $50.

David has done all of my plumbing work for several years. As always he was prompt (I called mid-morning and the work was completed by mid-afternoon), and most importantly everything worked correctly when he was finished. A few years ago David installed a washer and dryer in my closet after someone else had installed it so that I could not shut the door. He worked diligently and installed it so everything works perfectly. Every time I close the door I'm thankful for his work.

VERY HAPPY David Stewart came to our house about 3 different times this past month, all at our request for services. The first visit, after the approved estimate, David removed and replaced toilet. Also, removed "permanent shelf", replaced top of vanity, installed a custom towel rack. Second visit, David put shut off valves on toilets, laundry room, at our request. Today, David hooked up the ice maker for our new refrigerator and a shut off Valve, at our request, for the entire house, and installed towel rack in second bathroom. David always called and suggested a time, and it was always OK with us. David always arrived promptly. He was neat while doing any of the jobs. David also recommended a great handyman, and the two of them coordinated their work, and all went well. We most certainly would use the services of David Stewart, Half Price Plumber.

He arrived on time, did the job quickly and efficiently. David was very friendly and he also cleaned up after himself. The disposal is working well and no leaks. Thank you!

David was referred to us by a friend of ours who was a former client of his. I called David at 10:41am, and he said that he could come and give me an estimate at around 12:30pm. He was early and was here by 11:31am. He checked out my old unit, our setup at the garage. We discussed things for about a few minutes on what to do, what to get, and how he would go about it. He also started draining my old water heater after we agreed on things. I thought that the $630 price for a basic installation for the Rheem PROG50-38N RH58 was a little high, as these retails for less than $400 right now, but because he was there right away, I didn't argue much. Neither was it equivalent to our existing unit which had 40K BTU instead of the 38K BTU in this new unit, but I kinda like Rheem better than the other models that the other contractors are offering, so I agreed to it. I was just concerned about the warranty of 6 years, so he told me about the Protection Plus kit which would add 4 years to the tank (and I thought it would also add warranty years to the parts) for $200, and I did the math comparing it to the 12 year and 9 year warranty models, and agreed to it, even if it normally retails for around $150. I also wanted a drain pan, just in case, so we added that for $40. He gave me a $30 discount overall, for being on Angielist. My total was $840 which I think is still a great deal, considering he did it all in the same day, and he was easy to talk with. I didn't mind the mark-ups too much because he was quick and easy to talk with, and if his work is as good as I think he is and with the 2 year warranty, we'll end up keeping him as our plumber and using him for more of our projects. He might even be a friend later. He came back after 2:30 after he had lunch and after he picked up the new water heater. He was alone, so I had to help him a little, but it was all good. We also talked about all kinds of things while he was working. He finished in about 3 hours, but it was probably my fault because we talked about a lot of things from which we both learned from each other. Overall, it was great, and I find him an honest and good plumber. His work was clean and the water heater seems to be working good without issues. I'll know more later and will probably update this review. What I know now is that we'll contact him for other plumbing issues in the future and probably invite him to a party or two.
