Goettl Air Conditioning and Plumbing

It went ok. They came out and were on time to install the new tankless after removing the old tank water heater and an old solar system we decided to get rid of. The plumbers, Jeff and Jeff, did a GREAT job with that. Everything was done professionally and they cleaned up after themselves. They did the work in about 2/3 of a day and there was a LOT to do. We paid extra for a circulation system that would give us hot water quicker at the kitchen sink. This was an additional $1600 and included in the total below. It did not work initially. Jeff came back and tried to fix it. Another day went by and it still wasn't working, so he came back again and did some more adjustments. This time it worked and we are very pleased with it. The issue I had was with follow up. They were supposed to schedule an inspection with the City and then a hookup from Southwest Gas. That didn't happen. I called and reminded them. Still didn't happen. Another call did the trick. The city inspector showed up yesterday and passed the work. It was about 3 weeks after the job was done. Sunny will have to come back and hook up the permanent gas line next. I was really pleased with the work, the professionalism of the plumbers and the new water heater. It was expensive, perhaps overpriced, but I knew all that going in. We got a Rinnai tankless, which is the gold standard. The disconnect with their service seems to be in the office and getting messages to folks and certainly follow through. I'm very busy and shouldn't have to manage their follow up for them.

Worst experience ever, will never use these guys again. Service person was supposed to do a routine check up. They said my ac unit was bad and needed to be replaced with a $15000 air conditioning unit. I got a second opinion and the repair Man just fixed my ac with just an adjustment and charged only $20 for it. The sunny plumber people are crooks.

Was completed in a timely manner and advised us of all procedures. Very exact in their work.

Disaster. Scam. Promised service for $50. Wouldn't do it. Tried to sell other services. Bad news outfit.

Service guy said he needed to replace both valves and would not even try to turn the valve on at our request. I don't remember the exact estimate he gave us but it was outrageously high. We asked him again to try and turn the valve and he would not. We did not hire him but had to pay them a service call for nothing

The work "THAT" was done was done okay and the crew was very professional. The cost though in my opinion was outrageous for the cleaning portion. They removed the vent covers and vacuumed the ducting about three feet in. I was told that it would also be sanitized. That was not done. Very upset about that. I was charged app. $800 for that cleaning service. I would highly recommend that people get multiple quotes before going with The Sunny Plumber. I went with them since I am a Club Member but I don't think I will renew for 2019. Outside of the cost, I do believe they are reputable but they need to put in writing what work will be done. I could have vacuumed the ducts myself. I also never received the photos they took which they said they would send me.

One of the valves were unable to turn on and the service guy from Sunny Plumber would not even try to turn the valve on, he said that he would have to replace both valves. I don't remember the exact estimate as it has been months ago, but it was extremely high. He said he couldn't do anything except change both valves and would not even attempt to turn them on at our request.

He arrived on time, examined problem and promptly fixed the leak.

They were very good at what they did. However, in my opinion there were two issues. The first was a code requirement that the line be surrounded by? covered by? adjacent to? sand. Not the entire 18 inches deep, just around the line. The amount of sand they dropped into the ditch was in most cases not even enough to cover the surrounding dirt, let alone cover the pipe. However, it was sufficient to pass the inspection. Second, I felt that their prices were very high. The length of line required was about 60 feet. They charged $3,600 to install the line. They wanted an additional $3,000 to dig the ditch in order to remove the old line and install the new line. My fault for not getting additional quotes, nor have I asked for other quotes since then. I asked friends and neighbors to help, and with a crew of about 12 we dug the ditch in about two hours - by hand. It just seems excessive (admittedly based on no other quotes) to charge $3,000 for two hours to dig the ditch and $3,600 for a day and a half of labor to remove the old line and install the new line. Just my experience, and I HIGHLY recommend looking for additional quotes before using this service. While they were very good at what they did, I would not use them again without further research.

The plumber repeatedly misquoted prices and then settled on over $3000 to start. Very unprofessional and clearly did not want to do the work. Customer service was even worse and stated he never even filled out the quote for that much (which leads me to believe he was being dishonest about where the extra money was going) Another plumber took care of all the issues quoted and a leak the sunny plumber didn’t even mention or notice for $600.

They're honest. As a 'Club member' as I am, they help you on the price by giving you discounts. It's worth it! Job well done!

Good - did what was required in timely manor

Plumber stated that I needed an entire new motor and suggested a new system. I reviewed the owner's manual and was able to resolve the issue myself.

They wanted to charge us to come out and give an estimate and then could not come out until the next day. We called another plumber that could come and give the estimate and repair it that same day.

The technician was very professional and arrived on time. They looked over our hot water heater, water softener, reverse osmosis system, checked drains, etc. Once they were complete with the inspection is when my opinion of this company took a very dark turn. The technician started going over what he found during the inspection. He informed me that my garbage disposal had a small leak and needed to be replaced. He also informed me that our water softener had dirty water inside and also needed to be replaced. We had a Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) that was failing and needed to be replaced. All of which were legitimate concerns and needed to be addressed. The dark turn was in their pricing to do this work!!!! I am fairly knowledgeable about plumbing pricing and work involved to do various tasks. I work for a construction company that has a mechanical division and am familiar with PRV costs. I have a 1 1/4" PRV and it costs approximately $320-$360 to purchase from a plumbing supply store. It is an in-line part and to replace requires the water to be isolated which involves turning a 90 ball valve. Then disconnecting 2 nuts which takes approximately 5 minutes. The old PRV is removed and the new is put back into place then the 2 nuts are tightened. Worst case scenario for someone that has limited knowledge is this would take 30-45 minutes from start to finish. They quoted me $1100 to replace the PRV. I dont see how 30 minutes of a professionals time could possibly cost $740!!! The next item was the garbage disposal. Again this is an item that was already installed and in place. Purchasing a high end stainless steel disposal(which is what they quoted me to replace my current unit) costs approximately $300-$350. Again for me to replace this unit and install the new unit took me 45 minutes. They quoted me $680 to do the work!!!! Although this hourly rate for < 1 hour of work of $330 was much better than their $740 an hour rate for the PRV is was still absolutely ridiculous!!!! I can't believe that they can charge these prices for their technicians to do simple work. The water softener was even farther out of this world! Because of this, I will never do any work with this company or their sister company Goettl Air Conditioning(they charge equally exaggerated pricing for their work). Again they are very professional and the technicians are very nice, but they will rake you over the coals on their pricing!!! BEWARE!!!!

A little rough at the start, but the Sunny Plumber once again went the EXTRA mile to do a very nice job ! Every time I have hired them, they continue to outperform expectations ! This job was tough, dirty and 4 feet under grade ! Sunny Plumber is the ONLY guys I will ever call if the need arises !

Went over any issues in the house. Definitely overdue on the water heater. Interested in the water filtration Systems. Something that is needed in Vegas. Did you know our valley is one of the worst, in water quality? Of course.

With the barrage of radio ads I've heard in my area I figured I'd give these guys a chance. From first contact they were able to come out relatively quickly. The technician seemed knowledgeable and all was going well after his visit to the attic. Once he inspected the outside components the story got worse. He said I needed new fans immediately as they were impending failure. I was skeptical about paying double the market rate for the work but the urgency in in argument had me go ahead and do it. These parts were later confirmed by an independent technician to not needing replacing in the first place. One of the fans he installed was making noise and vibrating and he promised me he would be back the next day to fix it. A week later I hadn't heard from him, so I called the central number. They advised me that I had an appointment that day that no one told me about. I rescheduled it for a couple of days later when it was convenient for me. An hour into the scheduled window I received a call telling me he was running late but would be there within the allotted time. At window end plus one hour I called the office and was told he'd be another hour. I conveyed that I was losing money by not being at work while I dealt with their broken promises and received an emotionless apology. When he finally showed he apologized for the delay but had no good reasoning for the two broken promises. In the end you know what his big gesture was for all the trouble I was put through? There would be no charge for the second visit! Your darn right they'll be no charge for the second visit. It was to fix their mistakes! This was my first experience with Goettl, and any A/C company for that matter. They seem new to this market and are ill-equipped to deal with the demands of the second largest air conditioning market in the country. Would not use again, would not recommend at all.

He did a good job on the installation. My problem is the price. He spent about 1 hour on the install and 30 minutes getting more parts. For about a 2 hour job i was charge $474.00 which included a $100.00 discount. and I had purchased the filter separately. I would not recommend this plumber to anyone and it is mainly because of the price.

At 4:08 pm after not hearing anything, I call their office and found that they had the wrong number which they had called and were told that they had the AC fixed and were no longer interested. I gave them my number and they said oops they wrote it down wrong. I understand that mistakes do happen. They had my email and my phone number and they might have done multiple contacts to ensure their action was correct. I am happy that my AC is working fine as I would really have been unhappy with this mix up if my unit were down. While they were willing to reschedule, I said no as I would rather deal with companies who get the details correct and act on them. To bad as they lost a potential $12,000 sale.

They are a little pricey, but they do a good job.

Very professional in diagnosing problems with my existing system and replacing it. They weren't the low bidder but I never felt they were trying to upsell me like another company did. They even upgraded one unit at no extra charge. I would use them again.

Reciept says $49 in parts. Spent 35 minutes installing. Originally were going to charge my dad $500 and then said $400. For a garbage disposal? My dad is handicapped and has brain damage from a massive stroke. It was obvious this company picked up on that. I will reporting them for elder abuse. WE WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN
