The previous day, I had a leak in my water heater that flooded a nearby room. I have never had this occur. This morning, I looked on the internet to find a LOCAL water extraction and/or drying equipment company. I've learned about the 800#s that all they do is referrals, so I had zero interest in using one. In my research, I located floodsupply.org. I have no idea what their true legal entity name is, however, I know they're not listed with the Nevada Secretary of State as Flood Supply. Whether they're licensed in the State of Nevada, I don't know, but I suspect they're not legal since they're operating on the internet with the ad: Flood Rental-Dehumidifier Air Blower Fan Rental Co *7302 Commanche Agate Ct Las Vegas, NV 89179 zip code 24/7 Same Day Delivery Dehumidifier Air Blower Fans Equipment Rental (800) 947-8645 Phone Website Map it I called the 800. A man answered without giving his name. I identified myself by my full name. I had to ask for his. He identified himself as Robert. I asked where they're located, but I don't remember the exact answer. I asked if they were located in Las Vegas, and he said yes. I mentioned I normally wouldn't call an 800# for a local service request, but there was no real response to my statement. I suspect they just happened to be located in Las Vegas, unfortunately for me. I stated I had water damage, but wasn't going through insurance due to the small amount of damage, and I asked if they do small jobs. I don't remember his response, but I then asked how their services worked. His response was (paraphrased): "We come out and give you an estimate". Robert then went on to aggressively question me about my issue, as if he didn't have time for me. I stated I had water damage and was trying to find out my options. Again, he said he's got someone that can come by now. I said When can they come out? He said When do you need them. I said How about 30 minutes. He said. I meant this morning. (It was 7:30 in the morning when I called). I was always 100% cordial, but I was looking for information about their services. At that point I knew things were going downhill, but he continued to ask where I lived, and assert his need to come by and give an estimate. As we know, once someone is out to give an estimate, it's hard to get more. I then said "This conversation is not going well, so I'm going to have to call someone else". He said (paraphrased) "Suit yourself" and hung up. Moral to the story, if you're trying to learn about this guys services, don't call him. If you already know what he does, have fun. Better you than me. He has no desire to be helpful. He definitely had one of those aggressive east coast accents and demeanors. (Hey, don't be hatin', I'm from Yonkers). In conclusion, I haven't been treated this badly by a service provider, possibly ever. All said, I wouldn't call this guy to ask for the time of day.
Description of Work: Treated me like I was being bothersome to him. Acted like he had better things to do. I should have know better than to call someone with nothing but an 800# for local services, but when I googled their number, a local address came up. This was my first clue, but I somehow regrettably surpassed the lack of a local number.
