ABC Locksmiths

After over 4 months, I was still having trouble with the work that was done so I called them. Kathy, the office manager, got approval from her boss to immediately send someone out to fix the work that had been done by someone else at this company who is no longer with them. They offered no to come out at no charge. I highly recommend them now. It was great service and I am so impressed with that.

The company called a few days before as well as on the day to make sure the time scheduled was still OK. Ryan, the ABC locksmith, appeared on schedule on 2/20/12. He listened to my security concerns and suggested two solutions, one cheaper (and less secure) and one more expensive (but a lot more secure). I opted for the secure but more expensive option. He spent several hours working on removing the old locks, preparing the new secure locks (3 doors in total) with deadbolts, and disabling the doorknob locks. He is very thorough and makes sure the job is performed to exact specifications. I never realized before how intensive and time-consuming good quality deadbolt installation is. He checked in with me several times during the course of the job to make sure that I was happy with what I was seeing. He even told me that one deadbolt had had to be installed slightly higher up than usual on one door due to a small split in the wood further down. The price is not cheap but, as the saying goes, cheap is expensive and I am delighted with the work done. I will definitely be using ABC Locksmiths for any future security needs.

We purchased a home in Las Vegas last year and are new to the area and have relied heavily on Angie's List to find the contractors to ready our home for the long distance move. Following our closing, we need to change the locks to secure our new home. The gentleman who performed the work was very knowledgeable and made sound recommendations for the type of locks we needed to protect ourselves and our property. He came out, assessed what needed to be done, gave us a very fair price, and completed the work that same day-- they have done an outstanding job!!! In fact, I called them back to program a second garage remote. We are very impressed with their professionalism and willingness to help us and I look forward to working with them in the long term. They are on our "Home Contractors" list--permanently!!!!!

The technician arrived on time. He looked at all of the doors and gave me the price right away. He changed all of the locks very quickly and made extra copies of the keys on the spot. Was nice and did exactly what he quoted me.

It went very well from the time of placing the call to completion. The tech (Ryan) was excellent as a locksmith, very skilled and very professional.

It went excellent. The price was good, we have a custom door so it is probably not the average price but we were expecting something more expensive. They were excellent all the way through.

I purchased a coupon on Angie's list and instead of just getting locks re-keyed, the person explained a couple of other options that were better quality. He also cut off a padlock that we had no key for. He showed up promptly and got the job done well and fast which is what we were looking for because we had a lot of people showing up to do things at once.

These locks had never been replaced since we moved in 01/2002 & were ready to break, so I didn't have time to get estimates. Based on Angie's List of trusted companies I called ABC, they were able to get a tech over to our house the same day. The tech was knowledgeable, courteous & gave me what I felt was a good price for the 3 locks I needed (I'd used the $29 Angie's coupon for the initial service call, understanding that it would give me a discount off of the total bill, not free locks). I will definitely call ABC again when I need locksmith services.

I boought the Big Deal of the Day from them on Sunday. Early Monday morning they called me to schedule an appointment. They were able to come the same day. I was given a 2 hour window. The technician not only arrived within the window, but called and told me he was on his way. I had a front door lock that needed to be rekeyed. My Mother died recently and we could not get her keys to work on the front door. The tech explained the types of locks and he proceeded to install a new one. He explained the security features of the new locks and went out of his way to ensure that I knew how to operate the lock. He also explained how you can only replace keys with a card. The next task was to unlock the hope chest. He tried diligently to open it. He used a variety of methods of skeleton keys and picks. Finally we had to have the lock drilled. He explained how the hope chest had a safety hazard. The lid is inclined to fall and lock automatically. He disabled this device as he was unable to put in a new lock without ruining the chest. I appreciate his consideration for this heirloom. It was my Mother's pride and joy and held family treasurers.

searched Angies List, got a coupon and a locksmith, the co. called within 45 mins of purchasing the coupon and was able to have them come the same day for the re-keying--

I used them for doors. They were wonderful. The technician was wonderful. He worked with me and he was very polite and I was very happy with all their services. They charged $158 to change two locks, one on my front door and one on the garage door. He really worked well. They were very reasonably priced. The quality was wonderful. I will recommend them highly.

Arrived on time and asked which doors I was adding the locks to. Told me it would be messy and asked if I would like to put something down to catch the sawdust and cutout material. He was very good at his job and did it well. I thought the price was high since I was providing the locks to be installed. The whole job took approx 45 min to an hour. I would recommend the service to someone else .

They were good. We got them off Angie’s list. They showed up when they said they would. They cleaned up afterwards. They were really good. The locks are really good and I am very happy with them. I will use them again if needed. We were very happy with the service we got.

The locksmith, Udi, arrived early but only after calling to ensure early was all right. He was professional, very helpful, informative and not only repaired a couple of handles that were not working correctly, he also installed the more expensive but better locks. He did this in record time but made sure I was comfortable with how they worked before he left..

I wanted to get a deadbolt lock installed on a side door on the garage. I had brought a anti-kick in bar for the door jam, but with out a dead bolt lock it wouldn't do any good. Angie's List had a groupon type of coupon, where you pay $35 to get $75 worth of work done, for ABC Locksmith, so I went ahead and ordered that. I called them up and set an appointment for Mon. I was out at the grocery store when the tech called and said he could get there earlier than agreed, so he got out to my house 1/2 hour earlier. I went over what I wanted to have done with the dead bolt and he noted that the existing knob wasn't in very good shape, since it's on the side of the house that got heavy duty sun for 9 years. I thought it was a good idea, but hadn't really planned on that. Then what was slightly annoying was the up sell on converting the other locks on the house to be "bump" proof. I didn't see the need for that, so passed. He got to work and finished in 1/2 hour and I was able to install my kick proof bar. A slight knock was the lack of clean up after drilling holes in the door, other than that it was a job well done.

The actual job went well. There was a problem with the schedulerhowever. I called on Fri Aug.12, and was given a four hour window on Saturday. I called ABC at the end of the window and they had no record of my service appointment. The scheduler was able to get a locksmith out about 1 hour later but I ended up waisting the better part of a day wating around.The locksmith however did an excellent job once he got there.

Very prompt and professional. It was a bit pricey, but they dropped several dollars (e.g., "service call") for me to do the work...and, I guess that these high security locks are not cheap! NO pressure to buy these, however....they also had less expsenive models, but isnce I don't do this too often, I went with the better locks.

As it turned out the same service tech did both jobs and he was excellent. Very professional and he knew what he was doing. I will continue to use ABC for all my locksmith needs in the future.

I called in the afternoon and they were able to show up around 6. Less than an hour later the locks were replaced and all keyed alike.

very well. Ryan came out in a timely manner, called when he had an emergency lock-out call to deal with prior to us. We called the company to change the window of the appointment from noon-2pm to 2pm-3pm. He arrived at around 2pm with apparently no knowledge that the appt time had been changed. He was very professional, worked up several scenario quotes for us based on whether or not we would upgrade the locks this way or that way, etc. He was informative but not pushy, and he did his work efficiently and was very professional and nice.

Excellent. The gentleman was on time, knew the answers to our questions and gave excellent suggestions. The work was perfect and done in a timely and efficient manner.
