It was fine and as far as I can see he did ok. I don’t see any problems and I think he had good ideas and good suggestions as to what to do. He was on time.

He was very professional, explained that I needed a new lock. Had me go to Home Depot to pick out what I wanted. I called him after I got the new lock and he came out at no charge to replace it for me.

Guy said it's too worn and left it so handle is hard to turn. Would like to have the handle turn freely again.

I was a little surprised that $27 I paid did not go towards any actual work, but only for the locksmith to come to our home. The locksmith did work with us, however, and only charged about half the typical price for the job. We had him fix a lock in a sliding glass door.

I was having an antique cabinet redone and I hired this locksmith to go to the refinisher to make a key for a door that wouldn't open. When they arrived, they tried to charge me an extra $85.00 on top of what I had already paid (I think it was 35.00). My refinisher and I were outraged at the thought of paying more that I already had. My refinisher suggested I take a loss on the deal and hire his friend, which I did. We got it done for $25.00. This company was a big ripoff and I ate the cost that I paid for the Angie's List deal. A real bummer!

Everything went great! Quick response and appointment. Showed up on time, and was efficient while here.

The representative showed up on time, was professional and made recommendations. I was disappointed that the proposed service was much more expensive than I had imagined, but I never got another quote and have never used a locksmith before. So it may be that locksmiths cost more than I assumed they did. In any event, I decided on a middle-of-the-road option as opposed to the top of the line that was recommended, and I am happy with the result. I will think again before hiring another locksmith, or research prices more thoroughly beforehand. If the cost was fair after researching, I would use this company again.

Tech showed up on time as promised the same day I called for service. The work was done efficiently and the tech was polite and professional.

We called and told them what we needed. They asked if we could bring it to them (a 6 1/2 ft hutch, for pete's sake!), first. When the fellow arrived and showed us how much it would cost, with the Angie's List deal, we were floored! But we needed it opened, so we had the guy do it. He was nice and polite, but not apologetic at all for ripping us off!

I called the set up an appointment. Based on the quoted price and the deal, the deal was not worth it. Like other member complaints, their pricing is very high.

They were punctual and professional. My deadbolt froze up and they were able to replace it and make the needed changes to my door and door frame. I was very impressed with the professionalism and quality of work. Not so impressed with the price but I will use them again for all future needs.

We had accidentally locked a key inside of a locked drawer. ABC was fantastic! They showed up right away, and got the lock open in seconds. Very professional!

I called to schedule the service and was quoted a price that was 50% higher than quoted for the exact same service by a local locksmith. This was including the price of the Big Deal.

Unlocked bedroom door and replaced doorknob with one that didn't require a key to unlock. the handle type door knob ran $75. What??? So I was forced to get the cheapest quality doorknob for $45. The $48 service call cannot be used toward services rendered. I would have installed the knob myself if I didn't need the doorknob picked open. For the $48 service call, I wanted my money's worth!

I bought a "Big Deal" coupon for $70 worth of locksmith for $35. I assumed this just covered the service call (showing up at my door) even though the Big Deal coupon really did not say what was included. My assumption was correct. The purpose of my call was to replace a bedroom door lock on my daughter's bedroom door. The old lock was a simple "passage" knob with no locking mechanism. The replacement was a "privacy lock" with a push button locking mechanism that can be opened from the outside with a pin. Both the old lock and new lock were Emtek brand locks of identical style and finish. So this is a very very simple job that I probably could have done myself. When my wife called to schedule the appointment she asked what it would cost, and they would not give her any estimate even though she accurately described it was a simple lock replacement of the same brand and style. The locksmith showed up one time and was courteous to my wife. He explained that the coupon only covered his service call but NOT any work. I was expecting this so this was okay. He said that to replace the lock would cost an additional $65 of labor. My wife authorized the work and he did a good job. So the total cost was $35 for the service call and $65 for the labor for a grand total of $100. While he did do good work, this price was not a "Big Deal" or even a good deal. He spend about 20 minutes per my wife. Today I called what I consider to be the top locksmith in my area that I've used many times in the past. They are Bundys Lock and Key and have been in my area for many years. They told me that they charge $70 for a service call and then $90 per hour. Over the phone they estimated that my simple job would take 10 minutes of work and cost $90 x 1/6 hour = $15. So their total cost would have been $85. They also said they would be pleased to spend time over the phone with me walking me through to replace the lock by myself, saving all the cost. Today I also stopped by another local locksmith, Hillcrest Lock & Key. I have never used them but I have heard they are good. They told me that they would charge me $40 for the service call plus a flat $25 to replace the lock bridging their total to $65. The bottom line is, although the Big Deal vendor did a good job, it was no bargain. Both of my local locksmiths would have been cheaper. I will be more hesitant in buying "Big Deals" in the future.

When the rep arrived at my house he told me the coupon wouldn't come close to covering the service I wanted. I wanted to change the locks that were installed in my house when I moved in. Instead of a $50 coupon to change my locks, I ended up spending about $800, for the best locks that were available. I don't regret spending the money, because I got an excellent product. It was just way more than I was originally planning to spend. Maybe in the future, something can be explained in the deal, saying that the coupon is only for a bare minimum of services and that you might need to spend more to get a decent product.

He quickly assessed the problem. Made a new key and charged less than the original phone quote.

I purchased their Angie's List deal because I wanted to change one lock. The deal only covered their visit so I felt a little duped. But once they explained their services and after viewing the quality of the installation, I was happy overall with their services.

She was on time, quick, nice and got the job done.

Their advice was most professional, and while I did not use the service offered in the "Big Deal," I would use them in the future.
