+ -1 moreWe told Marshall the type of refrigerator we had, Maytag, and they advised that this was a common problem with that appliance, something we had learned on line. Their service rep called on the day of our appointment and advised he could be here earlier which was fine. We had previously emptied the freezer and he got right to work. The repair was made by installing a new, improved drain kit after he de-iced the drain. He also cleaned the condenser coils and fan blades. He did a great job of cleaning up after the repair and left not a drop of water anywhere. Very professional.
Description of Work: Our refrigerator had a defrost line that kept clogging.

He also fixed a problem with the spillover of water that was supposed to drain out but was freezing instead (thus causing water to leak out the bottom of the freezer). He came up with an out of the box fix right on the spot. I was very impressed and very grateful!
Description of Work: Repaired my fridge. Had issues with water filter that had just been installed turned out didn't fit even though it was supposedly made for this model. Also had water leaking from under freezer ruining my baseboards.

+ -1 moreTim, the owner arrived on time with all the tools needed including the part. We agreed on the price for the repair, which was more than fair, and he promptly went to work. The job was completed in no time and in a very professional manner. He protected the floor and even cleaned the oil that had splattered on the floor when the bearing originally failed. I learned that Tim is a retired paramedic from the Albuquerque fire department, a career of 22 years. I would definitely hire him again and highly recommend him.
Description of Work: The bearing on our Maytag Bravos top loading washer needed replacing. Tim, the owner arrived on time Beautiful lighting show and some rain on the way home all the tools needed including the part. He fix our washer and a very timely and professional manner. He protected the floor and even cleaned the oil that had splattered on the floor when the bearing originally failed. The pricing is more then fair. I learned that Tim is a retired paramedic from the Albuquerque fire department, a career of 22 years. I would definitely hire him again and highly recommend him.

It took him 5 minutes to diagnose the problem and he carried the part on his truck. He was comfortable around my dogs and I, who does not trust easily was comfortable having him in my home.

Description of Work: Tim Marshall was able to make the correct assessment of the problem which was a bad control board on my oven. He ordered the part and had it installed within the prescribed time frame. After the installation we asked about a refrigerator issue which Tim again was able to fix (leaking supply line and replacement of a pantry drawer) both of these problems ahead of schedule. Just to show how much of a customer service advocate Tim is he asked when was my last “condenser coil” was cleaned. The look on my face told the tale… and he got down on the floor and took care of the coil. Throughout the entire process Tim was professional and attentive to me as a client and respectful of my home. He even asked if I was handy enough to do the installation of the new pantry mechanism, “I was not”. I would use Tim and highly recommend “Marshall Appliance Repair” for all your home appliance needs.

+ -1 moreThe guy came, spent an hour and charged us but he didn't have the connection to get the information he needed to do the job. I gave him all the information on model number, make etc before he got here so he knew what the job was, but when he got here he said the company wasn't talking to him so he couldn't get the information to order the parts. Nice guy, very friendly person and he would have fixed it if he could but that left us out in the cold. When I told him what the problem was before he came and he should have said he couldn't fix it instead of coming out and charging me for nothing.

Description of Work: After talking with the service providers wife, she confirmed that they do NOT give free estimates which goes against what their profile indicates. Description of Work: Tim came to my house within 30 minutes of my request, since he was in the area. He found that I had a worn out pulley bearing in my dryer that was causing a squeaking noise. He fortunately had the part in his truck and replaced it within 30 minutes and cleaned up everything.

+ -1 moreSpring replacement was trivial. Real problem was getting dishwasher out so Mr. Marshall could fix it due our remodel of the wood floor and kitchen counter. He finally ended up having to remove and replace several pieces of wood trim, which he did with great care. While the repair undoubtedly took far more time than he planned, he never acted like he was annoyed or in a hurry. In fact, he noted that our refrigerator coils were quite dirty and asked if we wanted them cleaned while he was there. We really appreciated this extra bit of service!

+ -1 moreWhen I called Marshall Appliance Repair, the dispatcher let me know they were already booking into the next week. I liked that upfront attitude. Tim arrived as scheduled and was very personable and professional. He dismantled the suspect part of the dishwasher and could find nothing wrong. He reassembled the dishwasher, cleaning all the parts as he went. On the test run after reassembly, he determined that the motor was the problem. By a stroke of luck, he had a cancellation and was able to get the motor and return later in the day to install it. He also noticed that our dishwasher vent cover was not seating properly and fixed it which eliminated an annoyance I had been living with. Tim's invoices are very thorough describing exactly what he did. We will definitely use Tim again.
