Empire Yard Maintenance

They performed a fall season yard clean up. There is not much of a story. It went quite well. I was very pleased with the service.

Scheduling was fine and they were prompt and friendly. One of the things to do was weeding, but he just scraped the tops of the weeds, so they have sprouted right back up. It was not the best weeding they've done. They trimmed the bushes but missed a couple spots and they cut something I did not want cut.

There was a bit of a mix up initially with the date/time but they rescheduled to accommodate me without any problems. They also hauled away the yard waste free of charge to make things right. The crew was great!

I was very impressed with the work that was performed. Nice clean up. Contacted David for estimate on future jobs and I am very happy with the response. They did an excellent job and I am looking forward to working with them on my future projects. I also will be letting them do the maintenance every 2 weeks. Very satisfied.

It was wonderful!! The crew was on time and went straight to work cleaning up my front yard and preparing the back for the rock. My neighbors are very happy with the work that has been done and some am I. I will use them again if I need them to maintain the yard while I am out of town. They are great!

The two men arrived right at 10 a.m. as scheduled and spent the two full hours cleaning the the back yard. They used leaf blowers and placed everything on tarps which they sealed and pulled to their truck. They also trimmed the front and top of my seven foot high photena hedge along the back wall. When they were finished they notified me and the yard was spotless. They both were very informative and pleasant to talk to. I was very pleased with the finished work and the way the yard looked so clean.

The scheduler was prompt in getting it set up. The guys came right on time. There was a 10' perimeter around the house that needed the old leaves removed. They removed most of them, but left quite a bit. They also trimmed the pampas grass to get ready for spring. However, they left my gate wide open when they left (I was not home yet), and I'm not sure why, but there were piles of dirt on a concrete ledge that weren't there before - maybe from them using a blower. I had to get out there with a broom and clean all of that dirt off the ledge. This was pretty much a job done on the level of using a high school kid from the neighborhood. Just not really a professional job, but okay.

Two men showed up within the 2 hour window. We started by walking the property and pointing out which plants needed to be trimmed back and which ones to leave alone. We have a walkway in the back yard filled with small stones of a contrasting color from the surrounding stones. We asked the men to be careful about not mixing the stones together, as we have spent hours in the past segregating and rearranging the stones. They understood and were happy to comply by setting down tarps before trimming the plants. The men were efficient and professional in their work. They advised us when it was not possible to cut back a plant due to new growth appearing. The men did a really good job blowing the debris from around the stones and under the plants and bringing it to the truck. Additionally, as we had noticed one plant did not have a drip line providing water to it, we asked if they could add a line to this one plant. Not a problem, line extended. Everything looks great! Very satisfied customer!

They did everything I requested. Things look good. I am happy with their work and will be calling for some serious landscaping.

Two men got alot accomplished in two hours! Lead worker good about asking and doing what I wanted in terms of tree trim.

Although there were some minor communication issues in the beginning, the work was completed flawlessly. The people were polite, professional, and hard working. Top scores all around.

David contacted me very quickly after I purchased this Big Deal. I was able to set up an appointment for the service. Anthony and Eric arrived before the appointed time ready to perform the service. Both were very polite and listened carefully to all my instructions. The work was performed exactly to my specs. I would definitely recommend this company.

Purchased coupon for yard clean-up for 4 man hours. Was quickly contacted to set up appointment, for the next week. Appointment was schedule for 11 am but did not show up until 2:30. I had a lot of trimming to do and was willing to pay for additional work if needed, but since they arrived so late in the day there wasn't any extra time. The two guys rush through the job and were sloppy in their clean-up. Not sure if I would use them again, but it was a good deal and I guess I got what I paid for.

The landscapers cut back shrubs, trimmed up my willow tree in the back yard, weeded, and planted both foundational shrubbery and spring annuals. They did a good job, though they needed some specific direction and a bit of prodding to stay on task. That wasn't a big deal to me. Could have just been a bad day. I would use Empire's service again.

They came out for one of the two lawn mowing sessions. I was not happy with the first one. It looked as though their lawn mower broke and they used a trimmer to finish it up. I called the owner and he came out and re-did it. He apologized and was willing to come back when I was ready for the next session. We are going to wait until the weather gets better before having the other session.

Purchased a deal on Angies List fo r 4 hours of landscaping. The two men who showed up worked hard and in two hours had done a very good job of cleaning up the dead leaves in our front and back yard. I would use them again.

It went fine. I have used them before and I am always pleased with what they do. They are very accommodating. Last year I had a debris that had blown up and stuck in our trees in the backyard and they got out that thing out for me. I would continue to use them.

I tried to zeroscape my own front yard a few years ago and it did not turn out well. After joining Angie's List I found Empire and they were a great help. David came out to look at my yard and redesigned it for me. He and his crew came out on a frozen morning and went right to work. They brought in new rock where it was needed and removed dead tree stumps and unsightly plants. They used edging for my brick pathways and trimmed my overgrown bushes. My front yard has not looked this good since I had the house built. Thanks David and Empire for everything you have done!

I certainly got my money's worth - and I will use them again in the Spring.

I spoke with Dave the owner of Empire Landscaping to set up an appointment and let him know that I may need to purchase additional time. Dave was able to schedule me quickly at a time that was convenient for me. On the appointment day, two gentlemen arrived within the agreed upon timeframe. I took them around the yard and showed them all of the things I wanted addressed. They quickly got to work and worked non-stop for 4 hours completing all of the tasks on my list and more. They did an amazing job of cleaning up my yard, trimming bushing, removing elm sapplings, emptying old soil from planters, removing a fenced in compost area, emptying the composter and removing debris. I've had many yard cleanup services over the years and I have to say this experience has been the best! Both young men were very hard workers, professional and pleasant to work with. I would definitely recommend them and use them in the future.

Team was punctual, and did a great job of fertilizing and aerating the lawn and cleaning up after themselves.

Pleased with the work, but do need them to have correct tools for the job next time, as the employer forgot to tell them to bring the tools that would do the work and they did fantastic without them considering the day was hilaciously windy.
