BDC Door

The worst part of the experience was that the technician was at least 40 minutes late in arriving. Just about the time I was getting ready to call and ask where my technician was, BDC Door called me and advised me he was finally on his way. Once he arrived, the service was fine and he worked quickly and obviously knew what he was doing. Fortunately, I had pushed a little to have him come on the 25th because my schedule was pretty open that day, so his being late didn't put me into a pinch. When the technician was done, my garage door sounded completely different! It still makes a sound when I operate it, but nothing like the groaning and complaining it was doing. I will definitely have my garage door serviced more frequently from now on. As an added courtesy, he hauled away my old garage door opener (the part that hangs from the ceiling), which had been sitting in my garage collecting dust because I didn't know what do with it. I greatly appreciated that little extra courtesy. Even with the lateness, I'd definitely recommend BDC Door. I know from my own work experience that with anything mechanical or technical it's just not possible to always keep to a set schedule, so keep that in mind that delays can happen when you call someone to do this kind of work, allow for some extra time on both sides of the schedule estimate they give you, and you should be just fine. :)

We decided to replace, rather than paint and rehab, our 3 single car garage doors and contacted Jenifer at BDC Door for an estimate. She responded and was on time and prepared to discuss our needs. As a Costco authorized provider, she was able to give us (Costco members), a killer deal which included the doors and all parts and labor to provide complete installation. We agreed to the deal and waited a few weeks for the doors to come in. Jenifer then scheduled installation for us, but a week or so before the install date, something came up and we needed to push it out a couple weeks. Jenifer was able to make it happen and did it with courtesy and understanding. Note: to be sure we could use our old openers, Jenifer took the time to bring her installer out ahead of time and he was able to determine that he could make it work.......that was a smart move. The installation was done by Renee, a very professional and conscientious fellow who took all the time he needed to do a very neat, excellent job of installing all 3 of our garage doors by himself. It took Renee the entire day to complete the work, but I know he took his time and did it right. I highly recommend this team for your garage door needs.

Overall, I recommend them. The company was able to provide me with same day or next day service, which was convenient for me. However, the woman who answered the phone was a little spacey about calling ahead to inform you when the tech would be going to your house, this would be the only con.

It went very good. The repair guy done an excellent job. He also made several corrections on the installation of the garage door. He squared out the door it was a little crooked and he tighten the springs. The garage door does not get stuck anymore like it use to plus it is nice and quiet when opening and closing the door. Thank you BCD!!!!

The spring on one of the garage doors broke. We looked on Angie's List and picked BDC Garage Doors. We called on a Monday, 31 March. They were able to schedule service for Tuesday, 01 April. The repairman was even a few minutes early. Since both door springs were the original springs -20 years old, we decided to have the other one replaced as well. He got to work immediately, replaced both springs, and serviced both doors. The doors open and close almost noiselessly. He was finished in under an hour. He also left a sticker by the opener switch showing when we had the springs replaced. That will be useful when we sell the house. Because of our Angle's List membership, we got $10.00 off of the service call charge. The springs were $60 each. The price seemed about right, considering that these springs are also expected to last 20 years. We were pleased with the service and the promptness. We would be very likely to use them again should a problem arise with the garage doors.

The reason why I gave them a B was because around 2 weeks later the garage door started making even worse noises than before. I thought about contacting them about it - but never did. I'm not really sure if that is their fault or not, but I think it is probably fairly reasonable for me to expect my garage door to stay in shape for longer than 2 weeks after paying $99 for a tune up. At that rate I'd be paying over $5000 / year if they came out every two weeks to fix up the noises. |I just feel like there is probably something better / more the technician could have done to give me a longer term noise free solution. Edit: They saw my review and sent over someone else to look at it. They found and fixed the problem. It's been a year and a half and it's been great. Probably time for another tune up. I would actually use them again since they set out to make it right.

My experience was great and they did a great job. They were able to come within a week of me purchasing the big deal. They were prompt for the appointment. The technician was personable.

They were on time, knowledgable and friendly. The work only took about 45 minutes.

Original appt. was in 48 hrs., but cancellation allowed repairman to arrive that afternoon. The 'noise' coming from the garage door was from a badly worn gear that needed to be replaced. The repairman had the part in his truck and in 70 minutes, the gear was replaced and the door bearing replaced along with the wheels within the door track...it sounds better than new.

They were very helpful and they explained everything. They cleaned the tracks, replaced the rollers, changed the bracket settings so it works smoothly, and he oiled what needed to be oiled. He finished this all in about 45 minutes, but very thoroughly.

Wonderful job, they were prompt and did a great job.

The tech came out when he said he would, was professional and friendly and did a wonderful job getting the garage door back in top shape. He even did some minor tune ups on our other garage door without any additional charges. This is why I use Angie's List - I found a great, local service provider and will use them (and refer others) without reservation in the future.

First of all, Tony arrived right on time, actually a few minutes early. We discussed what it was about my garage door that made me want to have this reconditioning deal. My garage door opener seemed to be making a lot of noise like it was laboring in getting the door open. Plus, the door was not moving smoothly as it went up. Tony got right to work replacing the rollers and making small adjustments to the door. He also lubed the drive chain, checked the motor in the opener (maybe did some service in there... not sure. I wasn't watching him the whole time.), and checked the spring tension. About an hour later he was done. My door sounded and worked like new. It is now very quiet and moves very smoothly. All in all, this was a great deal. Tony was quick, friendly, and professional the whole way. He even gave me some tips on renewing the weather seals around the door. I actually had this work done several months before writing this review, and it has continued to function flawlessly. I really appreciated doing business with BDC door, and plan to use them again in the future for my garage door needs. I had recommended them to a neighbor of mine who needed some garage door service, but he chose not to use them. Instead he went with a more well-known company in Albuquerque, and was not at all happy with the service the other company provided. In my opinion he probably should have taken my recommendation and chosen BDC.

Everything turned out well. They actually arrived earlier than expected, completed the job quickly, and were very quiet while they worked. In addition, it was easy to get in touch with the company and to schedule the project. Ultimately, they did a good job, and we have no complaints.

Tony called first, as I had requested, and arrived on time. He explained what he was doing and when he was done we went over a few things I should keep in mind, as I had been having trouble with the door not going up or closing properly. He seemed competent and was professional. I would consider using BDC services again.

Was completely pleased with their service, professionalism. Cleaned up after and in and out in very timely manner. Our garage door is aging and kept falling off the rollers causing multiple visits from repairmen. This guy came in, gave great tips, tuned it up and we haven't had a single problem since. Great!

The job took about 10 hours for 1 technician to complete, and this whole installation was done very neatly and with good quality results. There is a call back to replace 1 minor piece of new trim that was damaged or defective, but otherwise everything is perfect and I'm satisfied with the finished product. _x000D_|

The provided contacted me promptly after I signed up for the deal. We set an appointment for two days out. He arrived promptly, conducted the inspection and showed me the broken spring which was causing problems with the door opening and closing properly. He completed all work needed in a timely manner. I had needed to have this done for a while so was happy to see the deal that prompted me to have the work completed. I was pleased with BCD door and have referred them to a friend already.

It went well. They changed rollers for us.

It was a very good experience. He also replaced a few missing bolts. I will use BDC Door again.
