He arrived at 8AM sharp after calling at 7:45 to announce his impending arrival. He was very professional and checked to make sure that carbon monoxide level was safe. It was 0. Did a really good job and answered all my questions. He also left me his card in case I had anything that I had forgotten to ask and wanted to contact him personally. I appreciate that because it saves a lot of time in the event that there is a problem or something that I forgot.

I telephoned and made an apt for about 3-4 weeks out. Had questions regarding seasonal switch over service (shutting down swamp cooler and turning on furnace), the lady on the phone was good at answering my questions and made my future apt. The technical arrived on time. He serviced and turned on my furnace. He checked for CO2 and advised me of the air temp. coming out of the vents. I was very pleased with this company and will use them in the future for other services as well.

We chose Albuquerque Plumbing Heating & Cooling because of their many excellent reviews on Angie's List. Their service was, indeed, excellent, from beginning to end. Everyone we spoke with - the receptionist/dispatcher and two technicians - was courteous and considerate. The technician who came to our house was clean-cut, friendly, experienced, and professional. We're very pleased with both the customer service and the work, and would feel confident in using APHC again for any job, both small and big.

The work was done more quickly than we've seen with other local plumbers, and for a far better price! We also got very helpful answers to questions on other household plumbing matters, including money-saving suggestions. I found this company on Angies List and was persuaded by all the other great reviews. Glad I joined and found them.

Great. They were on time. I explained the situation and showed him the new float that I had purchased in case we needed one. The technician looked the situation over, said it was a float problem, installed the new float, answered a few questions I had about maintenance needed other than cleaning. At the end I asked him how much and he said he didn't do enough to charge me anything. How great is that! Whenever I have any future plumbing related issues, these are the guys I am calling.

There is not simply not single non-complimentary remark I can mark. I could sing their praises to the high heavens, but that would be a bit redundant at this point, let us just agree that we believe they are the GREATEST!

Excellent, really. They have come to replace our previous regular plumber, who had retired. We rely on them--neither of us is "handy".

I have a 60 year old house in ABQ, NM. I joined Angie's List to find a plumber to replace my exterior H20 house turnoff valve as it was stuck and did not work. I had the hole dug, line exposed, and wanted the valve replaced. In addition, I wanted my drip system feed cut off and terminated. I called "ABQ Plumbing and Cooling" at 10:00AM, got a callback at 10:05AM, and Tim arrived at 10:30AM, not kidding and this was no emergency. He looked at the job, explained what he would do, and went to work. Two hours and $218 (including materials) later, my water was turned back on and all work was completed. I intend to call them back for an estimate to replace my 60 year old furnace.

Refrigerated A/C was cooling poorly. Contacted Albuquerque Plumbing around 3 PM on a Friday afternoon to request service. Received an appointment for 8-10 AM the following Monday. Was contacted directly by tech shortly after 8 AM on Monday. Tech arrived around 8:25 AM, determined the issue, and initiated repair. By 8:45 AM tech determined that insufficient oil had been added to the system despite exhausting all he had on hand. Returned about an hour later explaining none was available at either supply house he had visited and he had resorted to acquiring his boss's last can. He finished charging the system, verified operation, and left around 10:30 AM.

These guys do the job right, they are professionals, honest and straightforward. I only wish I found them 4 years ago.

There have been numerous problems with leaks both from the unit installed and the prior existing ducts. The employees at this company are all nice people, but because of a leak problem that Albuquerque Plumbing couldn't diagnose, all of our good feelings we had initially finally soured. Updating 08/19/2010 - The owner of the company did call today and explained how busy he and everyone in his company has been. Without asking him for anything further, he stated he was going to refund me with some of the money for the installation of the swamp cooler. I do appreciate that he is trying to make it right. He did say that this was just the most unusual case he has had with things going wrong. Looking at all the the other comments on Angie's List, I believe him.

They were out when they said they would be and got the job done well. I am very satisfied.

I was so pleased with the promptness with which the service was performed and the excellent outcome that I will not hesitate to call ABQ Plumbing etc. for repair and new installation work.

We called to get the plumbers to come by and let us know what we needed to do to fix the issue. They quickly scheduled a time and the employee on the phone helped calm our fears. They called later to tell us they were headed to our house to examine the issue. They were prompt and very polite. They got there and quickly realized the issue was the old owner had silicone a smaller pipe into the drain pipe. The drain pipe needed to be repaired. We did not feel that this was an emergency, so scheduled the repair for Thursday morning. They got there that morning and no sooner than they started they were almost done. While they were there we asked for them to solve our toilet wobble issue. They solved both our bathrooms issues quickly and for way less than we imagined. We own a local mechanic shop, New Mexico Car Care, and learned how much Angie's list does for our business. When we needed help outside our line of work we immediately logged on to Angie's list to see whom we should call. We were extremely happy with the service Albuquerque Plumbing had to offer. Angie's list is a great service to find the most professional services around. We look forward to using Albuquerque plumbing in the future.

I give Albuquerque Plumbing a thumbs-up all the way around. They showed up on time and completed the work to my satisfaction. They call in advance of your scheduled appointment time to make sure the time still works for you, which I really appreciate because of my work schedule. I was pleasantly surprised at the low price and the quality of the work, which have been elusive elements to find from other plumbers. They fixed the problems, not just covered up the problem with a temporary fix. They are competent, reliable, and I feel confident that I have found a reputable company to continue to work with for all my plumbing needs. From the first phone call to Vanessa in the office, to the completion of the work, I am a satisfied customer, and I am a demanding customer because I want quality work at a fair price and had never found that before working the Albq. Plumbing Co. They truly care about developing an ongoing relationship with the customer, which makes so much sense to me because plumbing issues are never a one-time event but rather an ongoing maintenance task that, once you find someone you trust who actually performs the work, you can call them again and again. I'm so relieved to find an honest company to give my business to, since I have been a victim time and again of plumbers and contractors that come, take my money, perform poor work, and then get insulted when I call them on their shoddy work. I've used Albq. Plumbing twice so far in the last 3 months, and now have my list of plumbing tasks to get completed as money allows, now that I know who to call. Plus, they give a 10% discount to Angie's List members, awesome!!

We decided to join Angie's List as I had heard very good things about the organization and I must say the subscription fee is money more than well spent in this instance alone. Albuquerque Plumbing Heating & Cooling has an "A" rating with Angie's List and in our book deserves an "A+". Even before we contracted with them (I must add thanks here to their fabulous office manager manager for fielding all our calls and getting the estimates emailed out to us promptly!), they were more than happy to answer all our questions regarding different softeners, (recommending several from both the lower and higher end of the price spectrum). The two gentlemen, for they were gentlemen, who performed the work were not only knowledgeable regarding our installation, they were extremely capable in dealing with an existing issue which could only be found in removing pipework already in place. They arrived promptly, were well attired in company clothing, were mannerly and respectful. Due to a bad back I spent a good bit of time in the area in which they were working and I must say I genuinely enjoyed the company of these two very pleasant young men. In summary, I would recommend the company without reservation to anyone requiring any of the work they perform, as they are honest, cost effective and sincerely believe that "any job worth doing is worth doing well". Our new water softener is currently flushing through the system, but in only two days time we are already noticing an improvement so the unit is obviously operating just fine and much more quickly than expected! I would also contact them if I required contractor work of any other type and were unable to find a listing on Angie's as I trust them to not only know the best in the area, but to steer me in the correct direction. It goes without saying they are "our plumbers" for life! Kudos Albuquerque Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning and many thanks to Angie's List for your assistance in locating them.

We used them because they said they would find a gas leak for a flat rate unless it became a major job. However, after searching around an hour, they said they could not find the leak and left. They returned a few days later, when the pressure meter showed that there was indeed a very small leak that they missed. Because they said that it would be a big project to find the leak and we were not ready to spend that much, they pumped more pressure into the system so that the city would pass us and the gas company would turn the gas back on. We would have been better off using someone with an hourly fee since very little time was spend looking for the leak.

I was able to obtain an appointment the same week that I called. The technician that came was very polite. He answered all my questions regarding the swamp cooler since I had never used one before. He also showed me how to operate it. I will definitely use this company in the future.

This is my first experience using Angie's List and I am impressed! I was able to schedule a mutually convenient time within one day of calling the office. The service was impeccable, quick, efficient, and totally professional. Kenny arrived when he said he would on both days and he even called when he was about 15 minutes away to let me know he was on schedule both days. I will definitely use them in the future, if I have any other plumbing problems. In the next month or so, I intend to get an estimate from them for replacing the approximately 20 year old furnace and switching from a swamp cooler to refrigerated air.

Matt, from start to finish, was a true professional. He arrived BEFORE his scheduled time for an estimate and efficiently reviewed all the options with us, without pressure. He fielded several questions throughout the following week and even returned to further explain our options to help us make the right choice based on his experience. Matt DOES the work, not just SELLS the work! Always courteous and responsive. The installation was exacting and the clean-up afterward was exceptional. His electrician and service men were superior. After install, we had a slight problem and he and his associate were here within 15 minutes!

I would recommend them. Their price was reasonable.
