Purchased a Big Deal through Angie's List. Very satisfactory. Very thorough and checked everything. He also told me some possibilities of recommendations of a new water heater.

The technician called prior to arrival and arrived right on time. He was thorough, efficient and wasted no time. Made suggestions of non-critical nature and I was pleased with the service (actually the peace of mind aspect) and I wouldn't hesitate to Albuquerque Plumbing Heating Cooling again.

Ok, first let me say that we use ABQ Heating and Plumbing for a previous job (replacing our pipes, installing a furnace, and a new water heater) and we thought they were great. So when the valve stems in our old three handle shower started leaking and I couldn't get them out to replace myself, I called them. They replied quickly and replaced the valve stems with new ones ($77 for the stems + the labor). Only problem was, it started to leak again a few days later. They sent out a new plumber and after working on it a bit he determined that the valve itself was stripped and would need to be replaced. We went to Home Depot and got a new set of shower/bath handles and a new valve. We were headed out of town that weekend, but a friend was staying out our house and would be there to let the plumber in to replace the valve. We told the plumber this, giving him our friends cell number, as well as passing this info on to the dispatcher. When the time came for the technician to do the repair work. He called our home number to make sure someone would be there to let him in. Of course we were out of town so no one answered (they didn't call our cells or our friend's cell, just the home number, even though we told two people the situation. Anyway we managed to reschedule, and they came in to do the work. In order to put in the new valve they had to change out the plumbing coming up to the valve since it was old and outmoded, The also had to change out the shower piping as well. They did a very good job at this and left the place clean. I have no problems with the quality of the work. I asked if it would be possible to get the labor from the first failed fix taken off the replacement of the valve and they agreed to do this. I also asked if it would be possible to get credited for the valve stems since they weren't the problem and since we couldn't finder kohler fixtures we liked were likely to be useless to us even if they were still good being put into a stripped valve. ABQ Plumbing and Heating told us they couldn't credit us the cost of the valve stems. While a little bit irritated by this, I agreed as long as they left me the stems. It might be weird, but if I am going to pay for something, well I want that thing even if it might be useless to me at the moment. ABQ Plumbing and heating said they would ask the plumber where the parts were and have him return them. Well when we got back to town, there were no valve stems. I contacted them again and they said they had been recycled as scrap. So, while they didn't charged me to not fix the problem. They did charge me for parts that didn't fix the problem and then took those parts. They couldn't manage to call the one phone number that we specified they should call, even though we told this to several people in their organization. They did not follow through with what they said they would do in a timely fashion.

I would recommend them to anyone.

The Service Man, Ray Day, called to let me know when to expect him to arrive at my home. He was prompt and very polite. He finished up flushing the water heater, checking all my natural gas connection through out the home and took the time to answer any questions I had.

From the time Debbie answered my call, I knew I was dealing with a good company. I asked to have Jason check out my heater because many reviews had mentioned him specifically. He arrived and did a diagnostic, which was reasonably priced, told me what else was needed and gave me an estimate on what it would cost. When he came back to do the repair he said the supply house had quoted the wrong price for the fitting he needed, so my repair was going to cost a lot less than he had quoted. Fancy that! I was really impressed with the way this comany deals with its customers and will use them for whatever, whenever, from now on. Apparently Jason is young enough to understand the technology and old enough to have a very strong work ethic...my kind of service person.

Prompt, professional, super informative!

I called for service and made an appointment. Tech called about an hour before the appointment and asked about the water heater. I told him about the manufacturer, model, and that based on my experience what I thought the problem was. Tech told me these builder installed water heaters were having lots of problems and there was a recall for this manufacturer, parts and labor would run close to $200 if he could even get the parts. He also stated that he could not guarantee the work and that he would write that on the service receipt. He recommended that I replace the water heater and that it would cost me $1000. All this was done over the phone, with no actual visual inspection of the water heater, so I canceled the service call. I am employed at construction, repairs, and maintenance of facilities and I have been doing this for over 25 years, so I knew that a phone diagnosis was not the way to go on this issue. My water heater was only five years old and since it wasn't leaking I knew a repair was needed. When I got home that night I discovered the problem was just what I thought, and the unit has been working fine ever since. In these tough economic times I'm looking for a service company that can help me by repairing my equipment that is repairable first; after a visual inspection and an attempted repair we can talk about replacing equipment but you have to come and look first. Since ABQ PHC has such good reports on Angies I was surprised and disappointed at the outcome of this service call.

Great experience, Ray was very friendly, very professional, gave excellent advice (without trying to sell me anything I don't need!). Albuquerque Plumbing is now on my speed dial and I will use them for all my plumbing needs because of this excellent experience with them.

The serviceman arrived slightly ahead of time, having called ahead to confirm that was okay. He was very professional. He ran the furnace for fifteen minutes before doing the carbon monoxide check. He checked both at the furnace, and at the register in one of the bedrooms. He fully explained what had happened, and we agreed that we needed to install a new furnace. He provided quotes on a new furnace. I checked prices online, learned that his quote was at the low end for the furnace offered (the current replacement for the one we had) and agreed on the purchase. He came one week later to remove the old furnace and replace it with a new one. Everything was done very efficiently, with a complete cleanup by the serviceman. He also noticed that we had a recycler on our hot water heater that was not being used, and that I didn't know about. (I just bought this house last year.) He reattached the recycler, cutting down on the time that the water has to run before getting hot. He charged nothing for his extra time and effort. I would recommend this serviceman without reservation.

He showed up on time and started by cleaning the furnace filter. Then he check all electrical connections and sensors. I started the furnace and he checked start up and temperature. He also checked exhaust and out put. When he was done he suggested any work that needed to be done. Very good and efficient.

The work was completed quickly and professionally. I was very impressed by the friendly, accomodating demeaner of the plumber. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing a plumber and I will definitely use them again in the future.

Jason arrived exactly when he was scheduled to arrive. He was courteous and professional. He took a great deal of time inspecting everything and recommended two upgrades to keep my furnace and AC in top condition.

It went great. Ray was very thorough -- this was a new house (I'd just gotten the keys), and Ray took his time to check everything out and explain everything to me. We set up another appointment for him to come back with Ken to service the boiler, install a new digital thermostat (old thermostat wasn't working properly), provide a key for the gas fireplace which had been missing from the house, and replenish the water softener and change out its filter. They communicate really well -- for each visit, Ray called before he came and for the second visit, Ken called me as well, to say that they were on their way. They were punctual and very professional. Since the house is new for us, with different systems than our old house, it was really great of both of them to explain how things functioned, recommend settings, and make sure I was comfortable with everything before they left. I feel like my house is in excellent hands with them -- they really care about providing outstanding service.

I was very pleased with their service. They were on time. The man was pleasant, knowledgeable. informative and thorough in his work. I really like the courtesy of them wearing protection over their shoes to keep from tracking any dirt and such in the house. In the end, I was so pleased that I did purchase a 1 year service plan through them.

All of the services listed in the offer were performed on both the furnace and the air conditioning. The technician arrived exactly when he said he would, and called ahead of arrival. He was quick and efficient. I plan on using this business in the future to do the same service at least annually. I have a lot more peace of mind having this service done. There was no attempt to sell me anything and no pressure of any kind. I was very pleased with the service.
