Description of Work: AC condenser fan got noisy and stopped working. I called and they could not get anyone out until the next day which is understandable. A tech named Dennis call and came out and quickly assessed the problem. Cost me $202 for a capacitor and one hour labor, that was a lot better than it could have been.I was very happy. Tech was honest, did not try to up sell me in any way,took readings and thoroughly checked system for that hour.

Description of Work: Called around 4:30pm. next morning by 8:30am the plumbers came in replaced my leaking hot water heater cleaned up and were gone in less than an hour. Good quality work excellent service.

Description of Work: Our whole large house needed re-piping. A daunting prospect, since we are elderly. Plus our house has unusual architecture, more complicated than most in our area. We needed "top-notch" professionals to complete this job -- this was more important to us than just the "cheapest". So of course, we went to Angie's List. Home Service Contractors was the top-rated company, with great reviews and had experience in exactly what we needed done. |They were very prompt, professional,and knowledgeable -- both in coming out (same day)to assess our situation and with their estimates (this job was accomplished in two phases). Because they had other jobs already scheduled, we had to wait a couple of weeks for the re-piping (Phase I of II)to be done. They immediately did a "temporary fix" on our plumbing so we could continue to live at home. They arrived exactly as scheduled and finished the complete re-piping job ahead of schedule. Phase II (re-insulate, patch and paint all the holes in the walls from the re-piping)was completed right on schedule and all within the cost estimates. |HSC's polite employees arrived on time and put in very full and productive work days. They were tremendously helpful in accommodating our elderly special needs, all the while getting everything done. Description of Work: HSC was contracted to replace the master water shut-off valve for the house. They arrived on time, and replaced the valve with no problems and no mess. Very professional.

Description of Work: I had a minor issue with my garbage disposal. The service technician fixed the problem and gave me a few tips on how to trouble shoot on my own!

Description of Work: After several "floods" of varying intensity from (5) different hot water heaters, over the 14+ years I've live in this house, I decided to move the heater from its in-the-house location to a more available and less important location in the garage. To avoid needless details, I had been told by others that this was an almost "impossible" move. Since I had HSC in my home for other plumbing work, I asked for an evaluation of the situation. The plumbers boss came and checked out the situation, said it was possible, gave me an acceptable estimate, and we set an appointment time to do the job. The workers arrived on time, didn't waste any time, let me know when they were done and cleaned up any mess they'd made. All within the stated estimate. The re-located hot water heater is working as it should in the new location and I am more than satisfied with the job done.

Description of Work: We use this company on a continuing basis and are always pleased with their work. The last service call was a plumbing issue that was resolved and completed. The workman are always professional and when the work required is more than just a service call charge, they check to be sure it is authorized.

Description of Work: They removed the old hot water heater, capped the gas lines to it, installed my electric water heater, replaced most of the pvc pipe under the house, and stopped all the leaks.
