we found the source of the problem - pipe from master sinks in the bathroom, a screw in the pipe to hold up newly installed drapes in the kitchen.

When I called and left a message on a Saturday afternoon I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call back within 15 min. I was told someone would come within an hour and a half, and they did. The kitchen drain had to be snaked several time before the blockage was broken. I was told that I should replace the kitchen sink's drain pipe leading to the basement as it was a galvanized pipe. To someone that is not familiar with this type of pipe it may have seemed like they were trying to drum up business. They weren't. Having been in the construction business I'm familiar with the headaches associated with this type of pipes. I will be renovating the kitchen in the very near future and when I do I will be calling them back for the rough in work and to replace that pipe. All in all I was very impressed with their promptness, honesty and professionalism.

He recommended that we didn't do it, which was nice. He suggested not to even do the whole house and just do it individually in each of the rooms. He was a straight-talking, honest guy and I would personally call him again just to have him come back if I have any other issues, because I did trust everything he said. His responsiveness was excellent and he was right there on time.

When my parents' garbage disposal drain became clogged I considered attempting to disassemble the drain line and clear the clog myself. After having second thoughts, I looked on Angie's List for a plumber with good reviews and chose RuDan Plumbing. I called the next morning and the owner himself answered the phone. He gave me an estimate of what he thought the job would cost and my mother called him later to arrange a service call. They responded the same day, The plumber they sent worked hard to finally get the drain line cleared, replaced the trap and cleaned up well. The charge was as quoted even though he spent extra time in the home to finally clear the clog. Angies List coupon was an added bonus. RuDan will be the guy I call first for any plumbing needs in the future. Service was prompt, thorough and fairly priced.

I'm trying to tackle a kitchen renovation in my home. The house is old and, consequently, there are some plumbing issues that need special attention. RuDan came to my house about 4 hours after I had called him. He was very kind and courteous, and, most importantly, was straight-forward and honest on what the job involved. I will definitely use these guys if I decide to move forward with this job.

Rui came to provide an estimate. He spent a good hour with me describing the different options for sump pump backup systems, as well as options on how I wanted to divert water to the outside gardens. He was patient, described the different options in laymens terms, and honest. Not out to do whatever, take the money and run. He even looked at where water was coming into the basement area and gave idea on how to slow down/prevent some of the water seepage. Tim came to do the actual work. It was during a snowstorm. I thought for sure he would want to reschedule (which was fine with me, nothing is worth someone's safety!). But he came from a long distance away and did a superb job. He was clean, quick and thorough. I am super pleased and highly recommend!

RuDan is excellent and I'm so glad to have found a plumber that we can trust. I first called RuDan and spoke with Rui several months ago when we had what we thought was a plumbing issues with the upstairs tub/shower at my mother's home. I explained the issue to Rui and rather than automatically coming out to inspect the situation, etc. and thereby, we incurring charges, etc. Rui generously explained that most likely (95% chance) - the issue is not due to the plumbing, but rather, related to the chalking and grouting around the shower / tub. So - I recaulked and regrouted etc. and the problem is resolved. Because of this first interaction, I did not hesitate to call RuDan again when we had a backed up kitchen sink. Rui was out to the house as promised and augered the clogged pipes. Unfortuantely, the clog returned again the next day and we called again. Rui immediately sent out Tim to give it another shot. I understand that severely clogged pipes can sometimes re-clog as ours did. Tim augered a second time and the problem now appears completely resolved. There was no charge for the second visit. My mother says Tim was the "nicest repair person she has ever had in the house" - and she's lived there nearly 60 years! I can't say enough good things about our experience with RuDan. Thanks Rui - you are now "our plumber"!!

I can't say enough good things about RuDan. I woke up this morning to a frozen pipe in a bathroom. I called Rui and he came over within an hour of my call. He was able to determine that the pipe was inside the eve of the house running through the garage. He opened up the wall in the garage to get heat in there and the pipe thawed out immediately. Rui is the best and I would recommend him to everyone.

Of 3 contractors who looked at the problem, Rudan was the only one who figured out that the leak was from the shower arm, not the floor or the pan under it. Fixing the latter (which could have required redoing the whole bathroom) would have cost between $6,000 and $20,000. Rudan's correct diagnosis resulted in our paying only $217, total!

The contractor was able to handle my request on the same day. he was quite friendly, professional and resonably priced. I did not realize that I had used him for another project last year but he remembered. I would definately use this guy again.

My house is under contract for sale and the buyers wanted a few odds and ends repaired. It was important to me to have the job done quickly and at a reasonable price. RuDan got backed to me within 15 minutes of my leaving a message and had someone at the house in under 3 hours! The plumber was very straightforward and let me know what my different options were and their respective costs. He checked for additional problems (none found!) and fixed the shower head quickly. Rudan is terrific. He is a working immigrant. They are just fantastic. They were very responsive. They were very sharp to explain everything. They were very patient. We had them install our sump pump which is very difficult these days. We had a very difficult situation in the basement. They were just fantastic. They just did some extravagant engineering to get the discharge pipe on to the backyard and it has worked like a charm. It has made my life 1000% easier.

We discovered the leak on Saturday morning around 10am. We found RuDan on Angie's list, gave them a call, and a plumber was at our house by 11:30. The pipe was fixed by noon. He was extremely polite and professional; we were thrilled with the service. We will definitely use RuDan again.

I called on Wednesday and they were professional on the phone. They didn't have anyone available until Friday morning. They managed my expectations well. On Friday morning I received a call to let me know the technician (Jim) was on the way. He arrived about 10 minutes early and waited in the truck. He rang the bell right on time. He was professional, quick and neat. He explained the process and kept me informed during the process. A good guy. All around a good experience. I would use them again and recommend them.

We are always impressed with everything about him. I’ve used him twice. Both times he’s come in below price and provided excellent customer service, and the job has been exceptional. I have recommended him multiple times and everyone I mention him to is very impressed.

He was very prompt in returning my phone call and as the repair was needed for my tenant, he coordinated directly with them on the timing. I have not seen the repair but appreciate the promptness and professionalism in responding to the request. I can't judge fairness of the pricing as I don't know how long it took to make the repair. I will definitely call him if I need other plumbing repairs.

They were not the ones who responded first for a walk-thru nor quoted the cheapest, but they were the first to set up an actual appointment with me, so I went them. I am very satisfied with the work done. They were punctual and they sent two people, so the work was done fast. Overall nice experience.

Sump pump installation required digging a hole beneath a basement staircase and running a new electrical line. The garbage disposal was a replacement for an old one that had worn out. The whole operation went very smoothly. Rui and Tim arrived at about 8:00 am as promised.. The electrician arrived, as scheduled, about noon. They worked steadily and efficiently, and cleaned up well after the work was done. They explained exactly how to operate and maintain the equipment they installed. They were finished by 2:30. They are very pleasant and easy to work with. The final bill was the estimate. The initial estimate Rui sent me was somewhat above my limit, so he made some changes and I accepted the revised estimate. Given the high quality of the equipment installed, the professional, neat work performed, and the prompt service (they did the work within a week of my calling them), the bill was a fair one. No complaints.

He arrived promptly at the agreed time. He was very professional and thorough. He not only serviced the stoppedup toilet, he also checked the tubing in the basement to see if it was running well. I would certainly use Rudan Plumbing again in the future.

Very nice and professional. He could have convinced me to replace the sump pump, but he was honest and said I really did not need to, as it is working fine. I will definitely call them again for any plumbing needs

Tim arrived to my home on time (I was late), was very professional, and took care of the job quickly. My past experience with RuDan was great, so I waited for an appointment with RuDan rather than call someone else.

I was happy to find a plumber that would give an estimate for basic plumbing without charging a fee, as many do not. The plumber was very prompt in returning my call and came out within a couple hours. I was given an estimate but it was also pointed out to me that the work involved some unpredictability that could raise the price. Again happy to hear it up front and he was not offended when I declined the service at the time. I have ended up with a temporary patch I did myself so I have not had the service performed yet.
