RuDan Plumbing Sewer & Drain Cleaning

Very professional. Efficient. On time. Good price. Leak in a pipe down in the basement attached to the main water line. Emailed him that morning. He emailed back that he could be there in a few hours and gave me a heads up when he was on his way. I asked him to do three jobs (in addition to the leak) and he actually advised me I didn't need to do one of them. He finished the job faster than he said he would and the bill was very reasonable.

Great - responded to my voicemail within 1 hour, came out the same day to look at the problem - came next day and fixed it. Called him next day b/c there were a few drops of water from one of the connections - came out the same day and addressed very happy and will use again if needed Price seemed reasonable

had a leak and overflow in my basement the day before thanksgiving. Not only did respond quickly, but they went above what other plumbers did, and the price was reasonable.

They arrived ontime, walked thought the house and made sure they knew what needed to be fixed and went to it. they cleaned along the way and finished everything in 3-4 hours.

Both times, my husband and I were extremely pleased with Rui's demeanor, professionalism, honesty, and responsiveness. He's such a nice guy you wished he was your little brother. I think we've found our plumber when we need one. I'm a tough grader so this A is hard-earned. I gave him an N/A for price because I only sought one other bid (Roto Rooter) last week and can't make a fair judgment.

Was in basement in the morning and saw that it had flooded (hadn't rained in over a week, so hadn't gone down there in days to check on things). Called up Rudan, left a message explaining urgency of situation and my call was returned within the hour. He came out a couple of hours later, pumped out the basement and replaced the broken sump pump. I had a separate issue with the boiler (upstairs zone wasn't working, but downstairs was). After I explained the issue, he knew where to investigate and quickly found the source of the problem.

Rui is great and he did a great job. He was very responsive and very straightforward with estimates - told you what you needed and what you don't and why.

Hot water for showering is a blessing even if we have to boil cold water for drinking.

From the phone call for service to clean up, the experience was great.

I have used Rudan Plumbing about a year and a half ago when i first moved into the house. to have an overall service done. Rudi was very upfront and honest in regards to what i needed for overall maintenance. This time around i have an issue with my tub being clogged and i was not able to clear it. We scheduled a time for him to come out he arrived earlier than expected and was waiting patiently for us to get home. He began the work and cleared out the drain he also told us that products like drano are good as maintenance not for when you have a problem as bad as we had. His upfront honesty was refreshing and he didnt try to upsell and use the whole fear tactic. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants an honest and upfront advise. I know that i would be using him from now on for all my plumbing needs.

Overall, this was a top notch experience, Punctual, neat, knowledgeable, efficient , reasonably priced and friendly. Who could ask for anything more?

Rui, the owner of Rudan llc, was very responsive in returning my call (few minutes after leaving message) on a Saturday morning at 8am. He was over within 90 minutes and started immediately by laying down blankets to cover my carpeted stairs and basement. His stuck with his quote of $260 and am pleased with his assessment of the situation, which included snaking of the basement shower stall and opening the main sewer line to ensure that it was not clogged. Rui is friendly, explains his work thoroughly and cleans up quickly.

Rui, owner of Rudan llc, arrived a few minutes ahead of appointment and promptly laid down blankets to cover stairs and finished basement. The removal and installation of the gas water heater process took less than the 3 hours he had allotted for the appointment. Though the cost was a bit higher than I had expected, the overall experience was very good so it was worth it. Nice job, Rui!

Just bought a new home. I called Rudan Plumbing based off of Angie's List reviews. I had a few small jobs and questions regarding the plumbing. My main concern was water pressure to the house. I also needed a new water heater, wanted to run a water line to the refrigerator and check the garbage disposal in the sink. Rui Dantas (owner of Rudan) answered my voice mail right away. He was very courteous and offered to come out to the house that same day. He was very prompt, used covers for his boots, and took the time to explain what I needed and why. I made an appt for him to do the work 2 days later. I wound up just having to replace the water heater and run the water line to the fridge. He showed up at 8 and was done in just a few hours. He even explained how the boiler and water heater worked and what I needed to do to maintain it. The gas was not yet turned on in the house so he offered to come back later in the day to make sure the water heater was working and lit properly. When he came back, the gas company still hadn't come out so he offered to wait a few minutes which he did while spackling up a hole where the water heater vent went out of the house! He even called the next day to make sure everything was working properly. Amazing. He did a great job. I'm definitely using him again for all my plumbing needs. I know he do the job right the first time.

It went great. Rudan kept all appointments, is incredibly courteous, professional and best of all, meticulous. The bathroom came out fantastic! This is the second time Rudan has done work on my house and I don't ever want to use another plumber. It's incredibly comforting to know that the work Rudan does is done right. Highly recommended.

Rui was quick to return my initial phone call. He made an appointment to come the following day, which was a Saturday. He gave me a courtesy call before coming because our appointment was tentative due to my schedule. He arrived and put on his shoe covers before coming in the house. He was knowledgable about the specific shower valve I had a problem with and was able to fix it quickly. He had given me a price over the phone which I feel was very reasonable. There were no surprises or additional charges like I had experienced with the last plumber I used. I would not hesitate to recommend Rui to anyone and will definately be using him in the future for my plumbing needs.

He was good. I didn?t have the work done. He came out and gave me advice. He was honest. I will use him again in the future.

When I first called him, he was very responsive & efficient. He advised me to call the city. The city came out to open up my sewer lines in the street. Once the city came over, the plumber abruptly left. The city then told me that the plumber should?ve snaked the drains regardless. I called the plumber and asked about this and he told me that he wouldn?t be able to come out for another week or so. My basement is on the verge of flooding, so I feel like this is an emergency. He sounded like he didn?t really care & didn?t want to come out. He told me that Tuesday is the soonest that he could come out (today is Thursday). He told me it?d be $220, which I find highly expensive as well. He did absolutely nothing to help me. I would not recommend this company to anybody.

Ever since we moved into out house a few months ago, we smelled sewer gas in the first floor bathroom. My online research found that dry drain traps could be the cause. We used the bathroom, including the shower, with more frequency, but this didn't solve the problem. More online research led me to re-seat the toilet in case a bad seal was the cause of the sewer gas smell. This did not solve the problem either. So, I went onto Angies List and found RuDan. I wasn't disappointed. For the initial visit/consultation, Rui (Rui Dantas is the owner of RuDan) showed up on time and quickly determined the problem - improper venting of the drainage system. He clearly explained the problem and also what he would need to do to fix the problem. I researched the issue and realized that he's right. For the service visit, Rui showed up on time as well. He's a very punctual man and I give him credit for that. He cut through the bathroom dry wall and reconfigured the venting system. This involved removing pipes and putting in new pipes so that the drain vents were above the level of the fixture. He also spotted a similar problem with the kitchen sink. So during this service visit, he also fixed the venting for the kitchen sink drain. he finished up by installing new dry wall and re-installing the sink. The work was done on schedule - in one day. I am very satisfied with Rui's work. He did it on time, explained the work as it was being performed, and charged me a fair price. The original estimate was $950, but that was without the kitchen sink problem. He charged me $900 for a full day's (8:30 AM to 6 PM) labor. As a lawyer, I know what it is like to work and be paid by the hour. I thought Rui's bill was very reasonable. He charged me $261 for materials and $63 for tax. The $200 line item for "PVC pipes and fittings" seemed high, but that's to a person who has never purchased such materials before. The overall bill of $1224 was very reasonable for the work done. I would definitely call Rui again for a plumbing job. He did a very good job at a fair price. I would also recommend him without exception to anyone - including friends and family.

Rui was very responsive and returned my call within an hour of my leaving a message. Took him no time to replace the "elbow" while the other worker worked on the shut off valve. Took less than an hour to replace. No mess. Unfortunately, sometime after I left the ice-maker still was not working. I called him back the next day, and explained it wasn't working. He then advised that the problem was most likely the ice maker. While I did pay for the "shut off valve" for the water to be replaced, it was originally a "pin" valve shut off, which he explained had a tendancy to break anyway. All in all I was OK with this as this valve is much more sturdy, and I now know exactly what position to turn the valve to shut off the water. With the "pin" shut off valve I wasn't sure. Funny, thing is a week later the ice-maker started working again. I would use Rudan again.

Rui showed up on time, with slip ons for his work boots since it was snowing outside. Immediately identified the problem. needed to order a special part - had in and installed the next day. Will be using him for any plumbing needs in the future.

well I called for an estimate , he came over and have me one we arranged for him to come fix all my problems the next monday. the whole job took a couple of hours and he cleaned well and took all garbage with him. A+A+A+A+A+ very happy will recommend him anytime

He replaced a 13 year old Kenmore water softener with a new Kenmore water softener that I had on site. The job was not an emergency. He was the first one I called on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and the first to call back that same day. He said the job would cost about $225 and said he would be able to come later in the week; He called this morning and arrived almost to the second of the appointment we made for this afternoon...He had to disconnect and remove the old one; fashion a new connection to the existing piping and install the new one. He was here about two and a half hours.I was very happy with the completed job. I thought the price was fair and his work professional. I would definitely use him again and have recommended him to my neighbor and to another friend

Rui is remarkably responsive. I emailed him on a Sunday morning (the problem wasn't urgent) and he wrote back within a few hours, offering advice and to come out and take a look. We set up an appointment for a few days later. He arrived on time, was thorough and very knowledgeable, walked us through our options, and gave a firm price in writing. It was amazing, considering how many other plumbers we'd had evaluate the problem and how few were willing to commit to a firm estimate. Based in part on the good reviews here, we hired him. Rui was very flexible with the scheduling, showed up on time and he and his assistant worked all morning to get the drain replaced and the new one working. They even cleaned up all of the mess! And even though there was some more work than he anticipated, he never asked for more money than his estimate. I've dealt with a lot of plumbers, but never one as friendly, honest, and - frankly - good at his job as Rui. I'd hire him again in an instant.
