RuDan Plumbing Sewer & Drain Cleaning

I have used them in the past too, they are good. Their price is not terribly expensive and they are mostly on time.

The problem was quickly diagnosed and repaired. The employee was very courteous and neat. The cost was very reasonable. I will definitely be using him again.

I called Rudan Plumbing in the morning and set up an appointment in the afternoon. Tim, the plumber from Rudan arrived a few minutes early and was there when I arrived home. I explained the blockage and what I had done to try to correct the problem. He assessed the situation and tried to access the blockage by snaking from the two sinks. After that didn't work, he found the two clean-outs. The second clean-out was near a T-pipe that was the root cause of the blockage. Once cleared, he ran the water to ensure everything was flowing properly to the main. Upon completion, Tim cleaned everything up, I paid via credit card and Tim was on his way. Tim was very professional, clearly knew what he was doing and was able to correct the problem in a timely fashion. While nobody wants to have a plumber come out, I though the service fee was fairly priced. Overall, I was very pleased with the service and would use Rudan again in the future.

I called Rudan and left a message. I received a call back promptly and was told someone would be there within an hour. An employee named Tim soon arrived. He quickly assessed the problem. I needed new washers. He replaced the old washers with new ones and the leaking stopped. The job was not as simple as it sounds because the shower is very old. Tim was very courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. He got the job done quickly. I will certainly call upon them again when I need a plumber.

When I first called him, he asked me in detail the issue. Then he quoted a price. He was punctual at 8 am, put on plastic wrap on his shoes before entering the house (wow!) and first checked to make sure that what we thought the problem was, was in fact the issue. Only then did he replace the value into the furnace. He was very professional, friendly, and a nice person. He will be my plumber of choice from now on. HE EVEN REMINDED ME OF THE $25 COUPON AND TOLD ME TO PRINT IT OF SO I COULD GET THE DISCOUNT. NOW WHO THE H*** DOES THAT IN LIVINGSTON, NJ. Wonderful person and great service. Highly recommend him.

Called many plumbers but Rudan called back within 10 mins of calling his office. He came out on a Saturday and did an estimate and explain in detail what he and his crew would do. I scheduled for the next week and his crew arrived promptly at 8am and began working. They worked together in tandem to get the job done quickly and done right. Took 3 hours to replace the copper pipes for the shower, replace the lead bend pipe for the toilet and install and level the bath tub. Cleaned up after themselves and laid down drop cloths and were respectful of my hardwood floors. The next day, again promptly at 8am they installed the toilet and installed the fixtures and trim for the shower. Done in an hour. Again very clean and professional.

My air conditioning system would shut down when the temperature exceeded 90 degrees. I called RuDan to take a look at it. He found that the problem was that leaves had accumulated in the bottom of the unit over the years and clogged the lines causing the system to overheat and shut down. He fixed the problem promptly, told me what was going on every step of the way, and was quite professional.

Rudan called before the appointment to see if they can come early, which was great. First he looked the faucet and unfortunately it was broken but recommended I call the manufacturer to get the parts since they don't sell them to plumbers. Until we get around to doing that he shut off the water for that faucet so we don't waste water. He then took a look at the sump pump and was able to replace it quickly and efficiently. The price was exactly as the quoted me. They were very nice and extremely professional. I will be using them for all my plumbing needs.

I called Rudan and gave them my requirements. I received an estimate over the phone. They let me select the date for service (I was out of town when I called). Tim arrived on time and prepared to do the work. He removed the broken pump, installed the new pump very quickly. I was extremely happy with the service and professionalism. Would definitely use them for other plumbing needs.

We had a plugged toilet which had resisted a plunger for 3 days. Called RuDan yesterday (spotted RuDan in a Angie's List report) and got voicemail. Within 10 minutes I got a call-back. As it was late in the day they couldn't schedule us until this morning at 8:00 am. The serviceman arrived exactly on time and quickly snaked out the blockage-- a face cloth. The serviceman was professional: friendly, polite, and left everything clean. We will definately use RuDan again. Have not had as good service in a long time!

I contacted Rudan on Tuesday hoping for a Wednesday appointment. Fortunately they were able to come the same day. The technician was at my house within a few hours of my call and quickly completed the job. The work was excellent. The cost for labor was a bit high considering the entire job only took 30 minutes. I would consider them for future work.

Tim from RuDan was a professional every step of the way. He told me ahead of time what to expect and what the risks were. He finished his work timely, was neat and clean, and charged me a reasonable fee. I hope I don't need a plumber again, but if I do I will definitely call RuDan.

My toilet which was new 8 years ago started to refill by itself. Also I noticed that it was leaking slowly into the basement. I found RuDan plumbing on Angies list. He is local to my home, within about 5 miles. I read that this business had favorable reviews. After having him come over and repair my toilet, I can see why people like him. A very polite professional job done at a fair price. He took care not to make a mess and left everything clean and working well. I would certainly use RuDan plumbing in the future.

RuDan responded to my voicemail immediately to set an appointment. They expained that they are a small company with only a few employees so getting someone out right away is a little more difficult. However, they were able to get me on their schedule within a weeks time. They called when they were on their way and were at my house right on time. They inspected the job, told me what needed to be done and went to it. When completed they explained what was done and why the problem occured and what they did to prevent it from occuring again. They were very professional and experienced. I would highly recommend RuDan and will definelty use them in the future.

No Hot Water - Oh, No!!! No worries - a call at 7 a.m. and someone was over at 11a.m. to install and replace the hot water heater. Tim was very professional and answered any questions. He was very prompt in returning my call and asked questions to completely understand the situation.I particularly liked that they came prepared to do the work. They did not have to come assess the situation and leave for parts. The work area was tidy as Tim cleaned up. They also removed and disposed of the old hot water heater. They honored the Angie's List coupon - Tim actually asked me for the coupon as I had forgotten all about it. I thought that was a nice touch!

I had a completely clogged drain pipe from my sink. My husband went to Home Depot and bought stuff, and tried to unclog it but he couldn't. So I used Angie’s list to pick them and they came out pretty quickly. There were two guys who came and they worked as a team. I described them the problem and they got right to it. One guy went into the basement listen to the pipe and they knew what they were doing. They did a good job. They got it cleaned up and cleared out pretty quickly. They didn't have to do any troubleshooting or had to figure anything out and I guess it was pretty straightforward job for them. I was happy with what they did.

The bathroom in our basement was flooding every couple of days and it looked like the sewer line was clogged. It was also the drainage area for our water softener, kitchen sink and basement bathroom toilet so it would flood if any of those ran enough water. We called Rudan and they were very polite. Someone couldn't get out to our house for a week but they were very apologetic.Tim from Rudan came promptly on the day they were scheduled. (Actually a bit early). He was very polite. We were pleasantly surprised at how neat he was as he put drop cloths down everywhere and really kept the working area neat. The price was a fixed price deal so we can't tell if that is a good or bad price but it took almost 3 hours start to finish but we didn't have to worry about how long it took or whether the plumber was just delaying to bill more hours. That is a huge relief.We would absolutely use Rudan again.

All in all, it was great working with RuDan. They are nice people who do good work and charge reasonable prices (my B grade for price reflects my understanding that "reasonable" means "good"). The sump, pipes and wiring were installed cleanly and neatly, and the toilet was done especially well given that they put in some concrete to keep it level (there is some unevenness in that floor). I will use RuDan for future work.

Fantastic!! I discovered that my hot water heater started leaking on a Friday and I didn't want to wait until my basement was flooded to replace it. I wasn't surprised since it was quite old-20 years. I got RuDan's phone number from a friend of a friend and called. Tim came within an hour to give me an estimate since he was in the area. Not having replaced it for some time, I chose to wait and call for a couple of other estimates. I got two estimates which were considerably higher. I called Tim back later that afternoon and told him that I wanted them to do the job. He explained that since I delayed my decision that he wouldn't be able to get the water heater from the supply house until Monday sometime and install it on Tuesday or Wednesday. Tim called on Monday and said he would be at my house at 9am the next morning. He arrived at 8:40am and laid down tarps across my living room and then brought in his tools, followed by the new water heater. He had to drill a hole in my chimney to update the exhaust vent from 3"-4" since that is the new code. We also needed a new water inlet valve and new gas valve since they were out of code also. He did tell me this when he gave me the estimate and even gave me the prices. By noon the water heater was installed and working. He cleaned up the mess from drilling and removed the old hot water heater. Then he packed up his tools and was on his way. He called the next day to make sure that all was well and it was. He also gave me the name of a plumbing supply house for so that I had somewhere to go for my DIY projects. It was so nice to have someone be so caring and professional at the same time. I'm going to get an estimate from them for a half bath installation. Not a DIY project!

Contacted Rudan Plumbing late afternoon. Received a return call within the hour. From start to finish very professional. Wore booties as not to track dirt into my home. Explained service to be performed. Replaced strainers for two sinks in kitchen. Worked quickly. Problem addressed before time to prepare dinner. Price was reasonable for work completed. Very satisfied. Will use them again.

So far we are very happy and satisfied with the work he has done.

He also seemed to do a very clean and thorough job. The price was about the same as several others so it was no better or worse than competitors. His quality of work was excellent; I would recommend him and will use him again in the future.

The technician was here within a couple hours after that and quickly assessed the situation, including the possibility of it being a smaller issue (clog) versus bigger issue (sewer blockage). He wore booties through the house, cleaned up nicely after the job was done. Well spoken, polite technician. Prompt response.

Installation of garbage disposal was perfect. No problems. With work related to clogged pipes -- two episodes occured on a weekend and during the Christmas-time holidays. Each time he responded immediately by phone and text, came quickly (even though he had been at a family event), and fixed the problem. Wonderful service, trustworthy, fair price for the work.

It was an excellent experience. Very professional, did the work on time and as promised. We were very pleased.
