RuDan Plumbing Sewer & Drain Cleaning

Great. I wasn't home, never met them, but left them a key, they went into basement, ran a new line and hooked up the grill outside. Very clean, it was like elves came! Great service.

Returned my call very soon after I had placed it. Set up an appointment for a day or two later. The plumber appeared at my door exactly on time or maybe even a few minutes early. Even though the issues that I was having in my bathroom were very unusual and the plumber wasn't quite sure how to fix them at the beginning (i.e., the stuck pop-up stopper), he worked at it for quite a while until he was able to come up with a fix. He did a terrific job at installing showerhead, and was able to fix the spigot as well. I felt as though I had gotten a whole new bathroom where everything actually works! After he was finished with everything, he left the bathroom in very good condition. This is sometimes unusual when you have plumbers come to the house. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the work, and can see why Rudan gets such high ratings. The price was probably just a tad bit higher than other plumbers that I see advertised. However, to get these problems fixed correctly, I was more than happy to pay the cost. I would definitely use Rudan again (though I hope I don't have to.)

Perfect...except for the price. I have a rental property and was 1200 miles away when the tenant contacted me to say the toilet (in a one bathroom apartment) was not flushing. Understanding the urgency, I started calling plumbers on Angie's List (Thank goodness for Angie's list!!!). I received a call back within the hour. RuDan said they had someone in the area and would get there asap. The plumber arrived within the hour, snaked the toilet and was gone in 15 minutes. This is a dream scenario...prompt phone response, good, professional service, no request to hold my credit card hostage...they said they would bill me. GREAT!! Until I got the bill. The cost was $185 to snake the toilet. I had a $25 Angie's List coupon so the bottom line with tax was $171.20. I questioned the price and again, received a prompt reply indicating that the cost was $185 to snake a toilet. I should have asked...my bad. I will do so in the future. If it were not for what I felt was a really high price, they would have had an "A" rating, as everything else was really very good. I would use them again, but be sure to get an estimate first.

They ordered the part i needed once thry came and did an eval of the problem which was the flapper in the backwater vaulve. did not need to redo the piping in the floor which would have been more expensive. now there are no more problems with the downstairs bathroom..

The plumber for Ru Dan was very polite and helpful. He explained what the problem was and saved me money becuase another plumber told me that I would have to replace the whole shower because no one had parts for our old plumbing. The Ru Dan plumber not only told me that the replacement was unnesscessary, but they also had the parts that I needed to fix my shower. So they saved me money in the process.

I came home after work to discover I had a leak under the sink in my upstairs bathroom. I called RuDan and discussed how I could temporarily stop major leaking overnight by using pliers to turn off water under the sink and placing a bucket under the leaking pipe. He came the following morning and quickly replaced a faulty valve. For me, a major flood was averted. I will be calling them for future work.

He seemed nice, competent, and understanding of what I wanted done however he stated he would be in and out in one day. If my assumption of plumbing supplies (lines, fittings, PVC, etc....) comes to $500 that would be $4000 for one days labor??? He also stated the price was on the low side and his boss would probably want to charge me more if he quoted me. Lastly he said he would drop off a formal quote in our mailbox in a week or so and never happened. I never followed up because that cost seems so far off the mark from what I consider reasonable but when you say you'll do something you should do it.

I was very pleased. Another plumber had told me that the faucet couldn't be fixed as replacement parts were not available and that it would be $1400 to replace it. Tim looked at it, took it apart and said it could be fixed and he would order the parts. He was apologetic that it would cost $165 for the part! That was nothing compared to the first estimate! It took a few days, but the part got ordered and Tim called me as soon as it arrived and came over that day. It was fixed in 2 hours and now works perfectly. Tim was polite and efficient. Turned the water main on and off and cleaned up after himself. He even reminded me to print the Angie's list coupon! I was very grateful that I got a second opinion. I would definitely call them back. They could have easily charged me for a new faucet. Being that it's so old, I would have believed it couldn't be fixed. Honesty is much appreciated and, as I have a 100 year old home, I"m sure they'll be rewarded with future business.

Rudan showed up on time and once he knew the scope of the repair, he gave me a price and a half hour time estimate. He was done in 15 minutes and I asked him what the amount was as I was in a rush. He gave me a much higher amount (including tax obviously) and I later realized that he had over charged me. He never returned my phone calls to get my excess money back. I will not use him ever again.

From the first phone call to the final clean-up job was outstanding. The cost was explained in the beginning and there were no surprises. The removal and installation was handles punctually and efficiently. We would definitely use RuDan again!

They were very courteous. He was very polite. They gave me an appointment pretty quick seeing that I was a new customer. There was a small piece in the drain that he was going to replace. But he informed me first. As a matter of fact he had a cancelation, so he came earlier that day. They were good.

Rui came out for an estimate, helped us coordinate with the town to get the permit and schedule the inspector. Rui was responsive to follow-up questions we had during the process. He was punctual and got the job completed within the allotted time-frame. He came in with his equipment replaced the pipe, cleaned up after himself and now we actually have water pressure (which is great). We would definitely use him for future plumbing projects.

He replied promptly to my voice message, showed up as promised and did the work promptly and in accordance with the estimate (even though it took him a bit more time than he had first thought). He was also very upfromt about what needed to be done and what work could be deferred.

I called , they answered with in 20 minutes. Wow that's a first for me a same day responce.They asked me about the job. I said drain cleaning, how much approximatly? They said about $260.00. OK lets do it Day of: arrived between 9-10 like they said. It was a man named Tim, he was great. I've been getting my drian cleaned every other year and it usually costs $400.00. Tim figured out why I've needed service every other year. Someone had broken off their snake in my drain and just left it there. It was all rusty causing me all sorts of problems. Tim also noticed that I had a slight crack in one of my PVC pipes leading to the sewerline and Tim fixed that also. The total charge was just under $250. including tax. I'm thrilled Ru-Dan Plumbing is on best list for all my plumbing needs. Ask for Tim he's a gem.

We are totally pleased. They showed up, were less expensive than I anticipated, fixed what I needed, were pleasant to deal with and that happened twice. I assured them that we would be their customers forever after...and get rid of the plumber I've been using for 30 years who should pay attention to their competition!

Two guys showed up - the boss and his helper. It's been a while, but as I recall they showed up when they said they were going to. The different jobs were divided between the two of them so that the entire job was completed in a timely fashion and neither of them stood around doing nothing. Both were pleasant and did not object to my asking questions. I thought the bill was reasonable for the amount of work done. I would call RuDan again for another plumbing job and, in fact, have done so.

What a great experience. We got a straightforward analysis of the problem, and a clear explanation of the most efficient solution. There was no attempt to oversell us on a more complicated [and expensive] solution. They were honest, direct and patient with our questions, and then did the job professionally.

Everything went smoothly from start to finish. Our initial phone calls answered or returned properly; showed up right on time for appointment; work completed in a timely manner. We hired RuDan based on the many other great reviews, and don't have much more to add simply because our experience matches that of other reviewers. We will definitely call upon RuDan again when we have other plumbing needs.

Tim from Rudan came and installed a sump pump in our basement. The pit was already there, so all he had to do was install the pump and the tubing to have the water exit the house. Tim did an excellent job and left the site clean when he was done. He was courteous and explained all the work he was going to perform. The experience was great. Rudan was on time and finished the job same day. We would definitely would use Rudan in the future.

I called them today around 11am, and Tim said he could come within 3 hours. I asked him to give me a call when he was on his way and he did just that. The price he quoted me on the phone was exactly what I was charged in person, and he could not have been nicer. He explained what he was going to do, wore booties to make sure mud didn't come in from outside and used cleaning products to clean the bathroom after he was done. I will definitely use them again, and will recommend them to friends!

This was my first time using Rudan for plumbing services. it was nice to receive a live voice when calling and even nicer to find someone willing to come out the same day to assess the scope of the work. On the day of the scheduled appointment, the technician was prompt, courteous, efficient and professional. He completed all of the contracted work and even reminded me to have my coupon from Angie's list available so that he can honor it. I was very pleased with this job.

Got back to me right away. Super professional.. Ended up not using him due to timing, but his quotes were thorough and he had a great attitude. Would absolutely use him in the future.

I never write reviews for products I purchase or use. So, suffice it to say that I certainly have never written a review for a service or a company that I have never used. Until now. I am having a bathroom replaced in my home. My contractor recommended that I have my drain pipe snaked, due to foul odors that were coming up to the bathroom after pipes were replaced. He felt that perhaps there was a blockage or that the drain (over 50 years old) had never been snaked. Not a bad idea, especially given that the bathroom is gutted and it was top of mind with all the other work going on.I did some research on Angie's, and found Rudan Plumbing. I called Rui and had a call back within a couple of hours. I reviewed the project with him, and the contractor's recommendation. Rui was honest, and felt that, based on what I described, we did not need to snake the drain. On top of that, when he realized that all the walls in the bathroom were open, he asked me to take video/pictures of the pipes that my contractor replaced to ensure the job was done properly. I was shocked at this offer, and so I did. I emailed the videos and pics to Rui (on a Friday night) and had an answer later in the evening. He thought the work was fine, and made some minor recommendations before we closed everything up.For someone, especially in this economy, to show this kind of honesty and willingness to help others, without taking a dime, speaks volumes about the kind of company that they run. I will, undoubtedly, have other work in the future (water heater, plumbing, etc) and Iwill not hesitate to call Rui and his company. This kind of willingness to help others is rare in this day and age.

Everything went great. He and his crew have been to my house probably a dozen times in the last six months and not once did they leave a speck of dirt or dust, even if it was pouring rain out. They are punctual, professional, courteous and reasonably priced. I have recommended them to my friends and neighbors and will continue to do so.
