Their price made me decide not to go with them. They were very professional and they got back to me right away. They came over and they were very presentable. I had no complaints about that at all. It was strictly with price.

Overall the experience was a good one. Only issue was carpentry work done on the rotted wood on exterior of home was not completed appropriately as all damaged wood was not removed initially. Spoke with Olin, who responded promptly, and carpenter returned to complete work and painters repainted area.

We had to run all new water pipes through the walls to bypass a slab leak. After the plumber made all the repairs, Certa Pro replaced the damaged portion of the drywalls in 5 rooms, taped, spackled, and painted. Project took 5 days and was done efficiently and professionally. Everything was cleaned at the end of each day. The walls now look as if nothing had happened. This is the third time we have used Certa Pro and each time has been the same result. Great company!

Olin Johnson made a very good impression when he visited to get the information for the project. Communications with Olin and Joan Ramirez on the business side were good. The work was estimated to be completed within 5 days, and it was. I was home when Jake the carpenter did his work and he also made a very good impression and did a very good job. The painters also did a very good job.

The job was professionally done. On time. The painters came back promptly to perform touchups.

The job manager made sure I understood what my choices were on what areas to paint and what areas to repair or leave as is. The company provided a complimentary color consultant who helped me work out the exact colors and finishes I wanted. That is especially useful when you get into varying tones on walls and ceilings, complementary colors of adjacent spaces, trim and ceilings in a uniform or similar contrasting color through out the house, and want it all to look good even when you can finally replace the flooring, The work was very good, and the recommended paint was a high quality name brand with low emissions. The company kept to the schedule, and the job manager and the office were easy to reach. There was some initial reluctance to strip the popcorn ceiling, perhaps anticipation that it would reveal an uneven ceiling that would cost more to fix than I'd admit I'd been warned. It turned out to be straightforward, not a large additional expense, and a huge improvement. Of course, YMMV. I was also trying to schedule an electrician for a large amount of interior work, and these painters were happy to work around him as needed including some touchup. It was reassuring to know that was set up front. I tried to have the painters do as much of the wood work and other minor carpentry as possible, including making a ceiling cutout for a new bathroom exhaust fan and closing the existing cutout. I figured they'd have the most experience out of the contractors I was engaging, and they were certainly more than capable.

Kip did the estimate and was very responsive and helpful prior to booking the job. Once booked, we were assigned a team of 2 painters and never heard from or saw Kip again. The job consisted of painting my aluminum siding, aluminum shutters and wood trim. The siding was sprayed, and the shutters and trim were brushed. The coverage on the aluminum siding was good and the finish came out nicely. There were some areas of overspray of the siding paint onto the gutters. They did a very sloppy job on the shutters and I had to ask them to do them over, which they did. I was very specific in requesting that the paint have mildew preventative added. I asked to look at all of the receipts to make sure it was added. In one case, they could not prove that it was added, but said that it was. We now have mildew issues in the areas painted by the "trust me" paint. I would suggest not paying the final payment until you've had a day to inspect. In my case, I paid them with some of the touch-up paint still wet. As luck would have it, as soon as they drove away, it poured down rain and washed the touch-up paint off. I called Certa-pro for them to come back to remedy, and never heard from them again.

We checked out a number of painters from Angie's list and Olin was the most responsive and professional of the bunch. He replied right away, set up an appointment to check out the job and provided a competitive quote within 24 business hours. While it wasn't the lowest price we felt the most confident that he got what we needed and would do the most professional job. His team showed up right on time. It was a messy job because they needed to remove the old popcorn ceiling and repair dry wall before painting. They moved the heavy stuff and were careful to make sure all surfaces were covered. They team was polite and friendly and quick. The next day they came early and completed the job by noon when we expected it would take another day. They helped move back the heavy stuff and cleaned up carefully which was a big job because of the old popcorn debris and dust. We are very pleased with the work and attention to detail. Also, Olin stopped by on the first day to make sure we were happy and to answer questions. He even helped look in the garage for the original paint we needed for touch up. We will use CertaPro again if needed and recommend them without reservation.

Prompt contact after inquiry. Prompt and reasonable estimate after inspection. Showed up when expected. Did what I wanted and a bit more. Invoicing and follow up timely.

Overall, we found that the quality was very good if we paid very close attention to what was being done. When we found issues (which was reasonably often)- we contacted the person who gave us the quote and he sorted out the issue. However, if you did not pay attention to the quality (walk around often to check it)- you would likely be disappointed with the job as our experience was that there was a lot of things that were rushed and not done well. The supervisor who we contacted about the issues commented that the workers thought that the customer wanted the job finished quickly above all else and so rushed to accomplish that (hence the quality suffering). So there seemed to be a bit of a disconnect from the front office and the actual workers on the actual quality of work expected. We were pleased with the final job after the corrections were made. However, I had two small complaints related to professionalism. One, the workers did not clean up every day like we were originally told they would. This was not a huge deal to us and we worked around it, but it may be a bonus to someone who is considering this company and was promised that. The other is that we were rarely given much advance notice that the workers were planing on coming. Often it was a days notice or they would simply appear. This was inconvenient as we needed to be around for portions of the painting when they needed to leave the doors open to dry, access into the garage, etc.

Good quote and quick start. Workers friendly. Standard of painting OK but not as good as I had hoped, for example paint left around edges of some windows.

It was a wonderful experience. The workmen were wonderful and were a pleasure to work with. They were punctual and we could not have asked for more. The work was excellent as well. They were neat in working around the home.

They were very good. The work was very efficient. They missed a spot on the home and they came back immediately to fix the problem. I could not have asked for better experience.

It was very good. It was a little expensive, but their service was fine. The first contractors did not bring the right equipment. I insisted that they sent another contractor who had the correct equipment and could do the job correctly. I think they should have supervisors checking the job.

They worked very quickly, did a good job, fixed any mistakes before they left, very friendly and professional. Would hire again. Updated May 14, 2013: Downgraded Overall to "B" and Quality to "C". Two years later, there are multiple areas on the baseboards that are chipping to show the previous blue paint below. To me, this would indicate a lack of proper surface preparation.

Certa-pro was quick to provide an estimate, explained exactly what they would do and made sure I was aware of the areas they would and would not be able to access to paint. They did a great job matching the existing deck color and were able to schedule the work very quickly.

They were great. They were a wonderful team of expert painters.
