Description of Work: This company sent a flier in the mail two times to my address. I contacted them to come and see me, left my number and waited. NO call, no contact from them, they NEVER even came. THEY send fliers out asking for your business yet don't respond when contacted. Would NEVER recommend OR use them

Description of Work: Was using Scott's for weed control in yard. After first visit, still had some weeds |Too large to have missed. They promptly came back out and resprayed. Had same situation again and was handled . On October 8 2013 Scott's records show that pre emergent had been applied of spring weed control. We spoke of the need to control poa Anna grass. As winter ended it was clear something was wrong with my yard. Previous years I had spot treated for poa Anna and assumed this spring I would not have a problem. Grass continued to appear until entire lawn was covered. I received a nasty letter from homeowners assoc member about poa Anna spreading to other yards. I called and they came out and looked. I was home and spoke to the manager. He stated something was wrong, either the application was not actually done or it was done incorrectly. They applied another application of weed control, but it is too late for poa Anna control. They asked if I would like them to apply a product when the weather warmed up, I said no. The manager then asked if I would like to discontinue the service considering how disappointed I was, I said yes and he promptly cancelled. |I called about a credit for the October application of pre emergent, I was told something about an 8 round program that I did not apply for so that was the reason for the weeds? |I have spoken to them 3 times and the lady at customer service said we will just have to agree to disagree. I said fine, I stated I had received multiple requests from Angie's list to rate service from Scott's but wanted to resolve the problem I was having . So here is the rating.

Description of Work: We’ve been overall satisfied with their services. For what they offer the general homeowner, I think it’s a good value. I think they possibly spread a bit too much fertilizer, but that’s the industry right now. They’ve always been professional, responsive, on time, and respectful of the property. I’m reconsidering who and what I use regarding pesticides, however, so I may switch the way my lawn is handled this year.

Description of Work: I used Scotts at my first home and they killed the grass after I had seeded. I even called to tell them the dates and they came anyways. So, I then went back to them with my 2nd home with almost 1 acre of grass thinking it was a mistake and they were the best. They were just too inconsistent for my liking. One tech would be informative and leave details of findings, and others would leave nothing. My last straw was when I was sitting in my home and watched the tech SPRINT through my yard with a broadcast spreader. He supposedly did my whole yard in about 6 swipes, which told me he was there to put down as little product as possible and move on. There is no ownership of their yard work. From a business standpoint, we all want someone to step back and look at what needs to be fixed or exactly how to maintain a good yard. No details left behind and I will never use Scott's again. My advice: read, google, learn, try products until you find what you like. You can take care of your own yard and probably save a lot of money while doing it!!!!
