After the work was completed, I walked around my home with the supervisor and initially was pleased. I submitted an all "A" Angie's List immediately after the walk through because the supervisor said they were required to get it upon completion. I was surprised they came on the day the work was done because it rained off and on all day. Granted not pouring rain, but a damp day and rained off and on. I asked if that would affect the paint job and was assured no it would not. I was also surprised they could prep all windows, doors, frames, porch and soffit and apply two coats of paint in one day. The morning after the job was comlpeted, I noticed several large bubbles on at least five different locations. I also noticed that there had been no caulking between the window frames and house. I called and spoke with one of the owners and said I felt like the job had been rushed because it was all done in one day with rain. I was assured it had not been rushed, that they are able to work fast. He said he would have supervisor come back and repair bubbles. He said caulking did not include frame to house wall but only frame to storm window. When they were out to estimate the job I pointed out spaces between window frames and house and asked about caulking. Estimate included caulking all windows. To Rainer's credit, he said they would caulk frames to wall when they returned. He said he would call back with a day they could return. The next day I discovered they had also painted my basement door shut as well as three basement level windows. They also did not glaze or sand two basement windows at all. I was not home during the day during the job but they had access to the inside of my home and I assumed they went downstairs and opened the windows and doo to break any seal that had inadvertently been painted. I called back and spoke with same owner and said I was displeased, that painting a door and windows shut and missing much needed prep on two windows indicated to me that the job had been rushed. He said yes it had been rushed because they were trying to get it done for me before the end of the season. I said I would have preferred to know that and then made the decision to go ahead or wait until spring. When I asked if they could do it this fall, there was no mention that it would need to be rushed or that it would impact my service. He also was a little shorter with me than my first call. Having called to say that windows and a door were painted shut and no glazing done at all, I think I am within my right to feel their service left something to be desired. I requested they come when I was home instead of my husband but they initially sent the supervisor when just my husband was home. He was frustrated and had not been involved in arranging the job and repairs. He asked them to return when I was home because he needed to leave for work. When the supervisor returned he was very pleasant. As a result of having to shove open one of the basmeent windows, some moulding broke and I now have to repair that. The moulding was old and had some dry rot but would not have broken if it had not been painted shut. As the professionals, they know better than I do if the weather would adversely affect the job and would have preferred to have been told I should wait until spring and have had the job rushed and prep work not adequately done.

I've used Rainer Painting several times now for various paint jobs. Each time I'm extremely happy with the result. Will continue to use Rainer in the future.

The painting was done well. Everything was covered and protected. Mother Nature sent some rain that slowed down the progress, but Joe came back on a Sunday and finished the job for us!

My husband and I usually do not hire painters because we do all of our own painting. Unfortunately, we were putting our house up for sale and were running out of time so we decided to hire someone. Our experience with Rainer: To start, we were disappointed because the owner, Joe, did not tell us that he would be sending a crew and that he would not be part of the crew. Next, the crew supervisor, Sergio, handed my husband an "Angie's List" form and instead of asking him to fill it out and mail it in once we had inspected the job, he stood there and waited for my husband to fill it out. Finally, once the crew left my husband and I walked around and found a number of large drip marks on the molding, areas that were not painted at all and areas that were just sloppy. My husband did call the Joe and texted him photos. Joe apologized and said they would return and fix the problems. We declined and decided that we would fix everything ourselves.

Job went very well. They were easy to work with. Arrived on time. Cleaned up well each day.

I was extremely satisfied with them. They arrived when they said they would and did the entire job. They are pretty neat, so they did not get paint all over.
