These guys are great (esp Angel and Dennis). Showed up first thing in the morning the day after a ruptured water heater was shut off. They were there about an hour after I put the call in...and it was the tuesday am after memorial day!. They soaked up the sitting water, cut out the wet/compromised sheetrock, sprayed microbial (to keep mold from forming), and set up industrial dehumidifiers and blowers. Place was dry within 24 hours and ready for repairs to begin. They also put together a comprehensive estimate for clean up and repairs, that made my discussion with the insurance company much easier than it should've been. They were very professional and easy to talk to. Hands down, the first call I make the next time I need an emergency clean up.

My basement was flooded during hurricane Irene. As a result, I developed a moderate buildup of Aspergillus Penicillium, especially in the ceiling joists and on the subfloor for the first floor. I decided to defer any cleanup until I installed a perimeter drain and sump system. I got a number of quotes for this work and Dennis was one of the only contractors who actually proposed using products that had some real scientific evidence that they were effective. As a side note, during my research I was surprised at how many products that are available and used to combat mold that have no scientific testing to back up their marketing claims for effectiveness. Dennis was professional, personable and quick to identify my specific needs and to tailor a proposal that met my needs for a reasonable fee. Once my wife and I were ready to move forward, Dennis and his crew responded quickly. His crew was here in less than a week. His crew was on time, professional, hard working and thorough. They put everything back the way that they found it and they worked around my needs (I have a dog and a 3 1/2 year old boy). Over all, I felt it was money well spent and I feel comfortable recommending them to anyone.

They were pleasant to work with. They performed their cleaning services as expected. They were very accommodating and came back a second time to clean some stains further.

They did an ok job. They were very nice; they did the work they needed to do but I think they charged the insurance company a large amount of money.

We had a flood in the basement because of a serious backup in the plumbing. It was around 4pm and I was at a loss of who to call to clean the mess up, which had already caused damage and was clearly a major health hazard. The only person I knew to call was my Insurance company. Without hesitation my agent gave me STOP Service Team of Professionals number. I was very glad to have the calm voice of Dennis Chinea from the company as the one that answered. He made a really stressful situation-manageable. Even though it was late in the day he came over, was courteous, professional and explained all the services that would be performed to clean up the basement - and scheduled a clean up first thing in the morning. Sure enough the crew arrived promptly early in the morning, and got busy right away cleaning everything up. They did a huge job so well, and took care of disposing of all damaged items including some of the drywall that had gotten wet. My main concern was "mold" forming that could later be a problem. They took care of everything. They even visited the next day to make sure everything was drying from the "wash". They took air readings for safety. Overall. This was one of the most professional companies I have ever worked with. They were fast, effiicent and helped put me at ease during a really stressful situation. I would HIGHLY recommend them and their wonderful staff for any related cleanup! I am grateful for them!

Due to the loss of roof shingles (Hurricane Sandy!) on my condo, I ended up with water marks going down a section of my drywall, and on some ceilings. The walls needed to be repainted, but I was concerned about mold behind the drywall, so I made an appointment with STOP to inspect the walls and provide an estimate for remediation if needed and painting all walls. Dennis and Ada arrived on the date scheduled. Dennis used a meter of some sort to inspect behind the drywall and other suspect areas. He found that everything appeared to have dried out properly and that the drywall did not have to be pulled down for remediation. Because his business location was about 50 miles away, dennis explained that he was coming down to my area to do water damage remediation only, to support the extreme amount of flooded homes along the Jersey coast, and was not at this time giving estimates for simple paint work. There was no charge for the inspection, and I now have comfort in knowing that I have no mold growing in my wall spaces. I was very appreciative of them coming out and giving an honest assessment of my needs (i.e.; not "manufacturing" a problem to get the business.)

The cleanup of my home went wonderfully. Everything was done as specified and within the time frame promised. More importantly, Dennis, with my permission, handled all the necessary dealings with my insurance company. I didn't have to worry about anything, which, again, due to my surgery, was a blessing. I would also like to mention that when Dennis and I had a three way call with my insurance provider I was very pleasantly surprised to find out that the corporate adjuster we were given knew Dennis well from previous jobs. This adjuster called me privately a bit later and told me that his earlier dealings with Dennis had always been so straightforward and above board that anything Dennis submitted would be approved. Guess what? That's exactly what happened-much to my delight. So, all I can say is that if you need your home restored for any reason, the only person I would ever go to would be Dennis Chinea and THE SERVICE TEAM OF PROFESSIONALS, LLP. The work was completely quickly and thoroughly.

I was painted my newly purchased house and saw what I believed to be black mold on the ceiling. I called STOP and spoke to one of their technicians and after discussing it, determined it was not necessary to use their services or warrant an inspection. I appreciated his honest as not being familiar with this sort of situation, he could have clearly required someone to come out to the property and make a fee inspection.

We had nearly 4 feet of water in our first floor and another 4 feet of water in our crawlspace. We removed most of the plaster board ourselves and we washed down lots of the 1st floor walls with clorox, water, and detergent. We removed the wet fiberglass insulation from between the floor joists in the crawlspace and we removed the insulation from the heating and water pipes. We still got sick and it was impossible to do it all myself. I wish I had called STOP of North Jersey earlier. They arrived when they said they would and immediately jumped into action. They knew what had to happen and how to do it without me telling them. At the same time they listened to what I had to say and answered all my questions and concerns. I researched the products they use and they are pretty green and not harmful to humans or animals. They got down into the crawlspace and really went to work. It was a full day of spraying, scrubbing, vacuuming as well as ripping out any remaining problem areas. They even sprayed outside and recommended a sealer i could use out there as well. At the end of the day the place already smelled better. They set up the dehumidifiers and fans and we left them running over the weekend. It was great. The place has never been so dry. It was remarkable how much better we both felt and neither one of us has been sick since then. I'm convinced the mold was really making us sick. These guys are professionals that really know what they are doing. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again. It would be even better if it never floods again and I don't need their services, but if it does I will call them right away. Dennis and his team were prompt, knowledgeable and professional when we hired them for a simple mold clean up job in our basement this past October. When other companies talked us in circles and used scare tactics to gain our business, Dennis and the STOP professionals were a welcome relief from the complicated task of choosing a reliable and trustworthy business. My father had a terrible mold issue on the wall of his closet. We had put it off for months and the situation got worse, spreading to the hardwood floors and into my mother's closet. (They have his-and-her closets). I worried that the issue was coming from an external source, and I was very concerned that it was posing a major health hazard, especially with my parents being senior citizens. I called S.T.O.P. and Dennis was very prompt in returning my call to schedule an appointment. During the day of the estimate, he was very thorough and he explained in detail the type of services that would be performed. He also counseled me and my parents on proper measures to take to make sure the mold would not return. Within 2 hours, I received an email of the estimate which was very reasonable. I was not present at the time of service but my parents were pleased and said that Dennis' team was very professional and thorough with their work. They tore down the drywall and they were able to conclude that the source was not external. Overall, they did an excellent job with the clean up. Dennis was very good with keeping me up-to-date with what was going on during the process. I am very glad that I called S.T.O.P. for my parents' mold issue. I highly recommend them and I would not hesitate to use their services again.

Overall very well done job to clean up the mold that had accumulated for two years now. Best thing, its been four months now since the work was performed and there have been NO surprises - meaning no re-occurrence of the mold or smell, no finding out that something was missed, no finding out that a gas or water pipe or electric wire had been cut as a result of the clean up.. . All appointments made were kept on time. As prior reviewers stated, Dennis Chinea came by to review the mold situation - taking pictures, measurements, drawing diagrams. All this information was used to provide a detailed price estimate that was e-mailed to me. (Estimate was made up of ten different items ranging from General Demolition, HEPA Vacuuming, microbial coating etc.) Dennis also re-assured me that the damage/job was not very big, which made me feel better because I did not like seeing mold and wasn't sure of the 'damage'. The work crew consisted of two people. (crew phoned to say that they were on the way). They cut away the affected dry wall, removing insulation when needed, applying coating. Also vacuumed the area as part of the clean up. No surprises with the bill either, the estimate was the final billing.

They did it in a clean and professional manner. Everything was explained. Everything was exactly what they said. They also did other things such as helping me move things that should have been out of the way but I was unable to do on my own.

The water damage occurred in April. I called STOP and a Principle of the company, Dennis Chinea, came immediately in person. Together we assessed the obvious damage and, using a dampness detector tool, Dennis identified areas of unseen water damage. I was pleased with his expressed desire to save whatever could be saved--like the living room carpet--and with the clear way that he explained things I wanted to know: --how STOP would dry things out/treat for mold, and how long it would take; --the probable cost involved; --what I needed to do next with regards to my homeowners insurance; and, --how STOP could also do the restoration work. (Dennis' team of technicians had been hired and trained to do emergency clean-up for STOP because of their experience/expertise in related aspects of restoration.) I was completely pleased with all of the clean-up and restoration work that STOP subsequently did for me. Dennis continued to be easy to reach and immediately responsive. He worked seamlessly with me and my insurance provider. The STOP technicians were respectful, good humored and efficient. They worked cleanly, cleaned up after themselves each work day and made every effort to arrange their schedules to fit mine. A happy result of this latter was that they finished the restoration work, as I had requested, before my summer house guests arrived, the first week in June. Two of the many examples of their expertise: the living room carpet was saved with no sign of damage; their skilled removal and resetting of a piece of expensively-decorated crown molding saved me the unwanted trouble of having to repair or replace it. Adding to my pleasure with all of this is STOP's "follow-up". This month, I asked Dennis if a small adjustment could be made to the tight fit of a few of the new acoustical ceiling tiles in the basement family room, to give easier access to the pipes and wiring above them. STOP technicians arrived the following week and made the adjustment.

Dennis and his team really took care of everything, I did not have to worry about much. Response time was very fast, they did a fantastic job and Dennis guided me through the whole process every step of the way. For any questions or concerns that came up, I was always able to reach him - even during the time he was supposed to be on vacation. I definitely highly recommend S.T.O.P. and already have! I could not have had a better experience.

Dennis, from STOP was referred by our plumber whom we contacted after we discovered the water damage in our basement closet caused by our nighbor's sewage pipe. We live in a side-by-side condo so we share a wall with our neighbor. Dennis was very responsive and returned my call right away. He stopped by to check the damages on both ours and my neighbor's units. He gave us tips on how to file claims to our home insurance company. The technicians came and cleaned up the closet by removing all the damages caused by the sewage pipe leak. The clean-up took half of the day and they left a dehumidifier unit in the basement for a night to dry up the closet. Then, one of the technicians came back the next day to check on the closet and after making sure everything is good, he removed the dehumidifier. The job was completed promptly and professionally. After the job was completed, we contacted our insurance company to follow up on the claim so we can move forward with the restoration. Then a shocking news striked me. Our claim got denied and I was told that since it looked like a long term water damage, they will not approve the claim. I contacted Dennis right away regarding this matter and he was shocked as well and gave me tips on what I need to do to "fight" for the claim. He was also very helpful and kept following up to check on the status of the claim. After going back and forth with insurance company, our claim finally got approved! I contacted Dennis right away and was able to schedule a time to repair the closet. It took a total of 3 days for the repair. The technicians put up the drywall, cut and painted the trims, put all the trims on the wall and door, painted the wall, then finally put down the carpet. My husband and I were very impressed and satisfied with the job they did. The closet looks almost brand new. If you are looking for someone to clean up your water damage or repair the damage, STOP is the place to call. You will not be disappointed!!!

The owner, Dennis Chinia and his wife came to inspect the basement to take measurements and provided a very detailed estimate for the work to be performed. On the day of the demo, Dennis' crew was prompt, courteous and worked extremely hard to remove a huge "dumpster' full of material. They constructed a tunnel-like pathway for the removal of the material with protective plastic right up to the ceiling. i would definitely recommend this company to anyone in need of their service.

All work was done on time and professionally. We were very pleased with how the work was completed and the professionalism of the company and employees. They were flexible with our time schedule when originally meeting and for subsequent work. We gave them a door key to complete the work and everything was safe. Being this was our first water damage, STOP being familiar with the insurance process was an asset to helping us with the insurance company.
