Just moved to CT from NYC, bought a house, contacted Shamrock to sweep my chimney, they set at appointment for this past Wednesday 9-12, waited, they didn?t show up nor called, I called them they gave me some excuse about bad weather and they had to pull their techs off the road; I bought their story, rescheduled for today at same time 9-12, same situation, I called them at 10:45 to ask if they are coming, the Customer Service rep told me she gonna check with the dispatch and call me back. She didn't care to call back. I called at 12:30, rep again said oh everyone is busy and they don't have a tech available if I want to reschedule for next Tuesday or another day at a reduced cost. I'm like hold on, you've had me waiting for over a week and you don't have the common courtesy to just call and say you can't do the job. That's all just say you can't do it. She keep insisting that I reschedule, she wants a second chance, I?m like this is the second chance. It's fine I will just find someone else, she said she gonna call be back in a few mins to tell me if they can make it it?s now 2:25pm, no call. I refuse to believe that this is how the service is in CT. This is terrible customer service, terrible business model and no care for your craft our customers. I would never recommend to anyone, it?s sad that this type of service exists, I couldn?t even be mad, I just felt disappointed that a company can't just say they can't do the job, find someone else, instead of holding customers hostage with false hope that you can carry out a job. But, I will contact other companies to get this simple job done. This is just a shame.

We scheduled an appointment between 9am and 2 pm. I confirmed it and drove 2 hours to meet them and at 2:10pm they called to cancel. Impossible to reach a live person. They promised to come but again failed to make the appointment and we wasted a day. They finally came and did the work but did not do what they were supposed to do. They took off a part of our chimney and did not put it back. We called, they did not call back, we are stopping payment and DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

Appear to have some scammers working here, who tried to convince me to have them perform unnecessary work that was not what I had them come out for in the first place. I suppose reasonable people can differ about the need for a chimney liner (though just see google to find out how common this scam is). What struck me most, however, is that I have never before had someone spend so long trying to convince me that I should not get a second quote for work that was not what I had them come out for, was not necessary, and that they wanted thousands of dollars for. Do not plan on getting a simple chimney sweep without a very hard sales pitch from these folks.

Brutal, avoid and don t even think about hiring them! Worse customer service I ve ever had to deal with, office people seem annoyed if you give them a call and show no concern what so ever what you want to talk to them about. Hired them to do a chimney cleaning, one of the workers broke the damper handle while doing the cleaning. Left voicemail, gave them a call about it several times during the almost two months after the incident and I ve yet to get the call back from the management that I ve been promised for 20+ times. Allen who was one of the workers left me feeling like I lied about the whole thing for then telling me he ll come and fix it, management just has to call me back to schedule it all. As previously stated, almost two months later, management seem to be lost the phone because I m still waiting for the call back!!!! Save your money and hire someone else!

Be ready to spend more than what you discuss with them over the phone when they show up.

Back this August of 2019 i had a liner installed with a cap. Last night it blew off. Today I left a message to have some one replace and securly anchor to chimney. I will give 5 stars if they reply and arrange for this problem. I don't want water going down the liner in the wall of my cracked chimney either.

Arrive to quote late in the afternoon. Offered a price reduction if we would start then. It went well after dark and I had to jury rig a couple of house lamps outside to see. We missed a couple of sport on a stone chimney, but the guys were very pleasant and did a pretty good job considering.

We hired Shamrock to insert a stainless steel liner in a 100+ year old unloved chimney. What might have been an easy installation turned out to be an huge challenge because of twists and restrictions. Joe D our tech Indian and his assistant were tenacious an unyielding in their efforts to make a full installation. With great effort they succeeded much to our satisfaction. Our chimney can now serve well do another 100+ years.
