Arctic Air Conditioning

The process of securing financing from the Save Green Program takes time, but Connor and Arctic Air were there for me every step of the way. Any time I had a question, my calls were responded to with the answer by the end of day. Connor provided all the info on the different furnaces, air conditioners and water heaters they offered and their pros and cons. He described each system in detail and why it would or would not help with the heating/cooling of our home. He was very thorough and detailed. I had a third party (non-contractor) do my energy audit and Connor was right on with their findings. He addressed all the concerns brought up by this energy audit without me mentioning I had a separate one conducted. On the installation days, the crew showed up on time and immediately described what they planned to do and how long they expected the process to take. They were professional and courteous... a bit loud at times, but sound will certainly travel through the vents in your home when a new furnace is being installed. Connor stopped by during the installation to check that everything was going according to plan. In the end run, the crew forgot two small things (the installation of a damper in the new vent runs -- one of the more minor projects during installation compared to the furnace, AC and water heater). I contacted Connor regarding this early the next morning and within a week the dampers were installed. Connor would continue to follow up with us regarding our grants from the state and from the furnace company. I highly recommend Connor and Arctic Air with any furnace/AC installation. Connor certainly knows what he is talking about and will be frank when talking about what your home needs vs. extras. I was very impressed with his presentation and even more so with the follow through.

Ross came out to my home 2 days after we called for an estimate. He spent 1 1/2 hours going over his firm, system, ductwork and all applicable details of changing current units. 1 week later the new units were installed and the next week all ductwork was completed. The staff is courteous, professional and very clean. They filled out all paperwork for rebates and gas company energy audit. Have had a/c on almost constantly for 3 months with no problems. Most of the time, we do not know it is even on. It is unbelievably quiet.

The salesperson was knowledgeable, prompt, and helpful. He came back a second time to go over the project with my wife, which was very helpful. He took his time to analyze the current system and find what could be improved to maximize efficiency. The workers were prompt, courteous, and very professional as well as the office staff.

PSE&G called me this AM and ordered the unit and will be put in ASAP

The service man was great. He was professional and explained everything he did so that I could understand it. He performed an extra test on the machine with no extra charge. I would recommend Artic to anyone needing air conditioner service. This is a great company and the experience was overall outstanding !

I need to install humidifier to my house. I called to inquire about the price and the service this place provides. But I also had question around what needs to be done. The rep on the phone keeps cutting you off in the middle of my questions. So of couse, her answer was incomplete. She just keeps repeating her set price. She may not be able to answer all of my questions, but her handling of the call was very unprofessional and rude. It sounds like this contractor provide quality service. It's very unfortunately that they put someone on the phone who doesn't know how to talk to a customer/prospect.

Sold me a manufacturer warranty which they did not honor saying the company (trane) does not pay.They told me I would have to pay them and when they were reimbursed they would refund my payment.I was a loyal customer of theirs until this incident which seemed out of character for them but the owner was very adamant about not honoring the warranty they sold as well as rude.My loyalty over the years meant nothing to them.I called mid-state heating and cooling to do the repair as they were listed as an authorized dealer,they did the repair and honored the warranty "NO QUESTIONS ASKED"!

Professional website. Reasonable timeline to get to us. Very happy they did not push any replacement of unit. Came within time window given for arrival.

Great. The service person was very courteous and knowledgeable, and also honest as my a/c unit is 20 years old but he indicated the diagnostics/readings were okay on the unit. He figured out that the air was not coming through the house at the right speed/pace due to a part not working in the furnace/blower.

Everything went extremely well. The service men were neat and professional. It was pouring rain but they completed the work in one day by using umbrellas. I was very impressed. When they left all broken or materials which needed to be replaced were hauled away. Before leaving a final check to make sure everything was working properly was conducted. My husband and I were Aldo impressed with the honesty and integrity of this company. We have a high velocity air conditioning system and two other companies told us the system in the attic needed to be replaced as well with an estimated cost of $10,000 or more. Arctic Air gave a more thorough initial service call and told us the air pan in the attic was fairly new and did not need to be replaced. I would recommend this company again.

I'm pleased with my experience, and have no hesitation in recommending Arctic. I called them initially to check on my old (and non-functioning) central AC system. The technician found a leak in the external unit (there was an audible hiss). Given the age of the system, he recommended replacing it, which I kind of expected would be necessary. One of the owners (Ross) stopped by the same day, and after talking to him (and also factoring in their good ratings here) I felt comfortable enough to sign up on the spot. I didn't get other quotes, but the price seemed to be comfortably within the range I was expecting based on the research I'd done. On the appointed day, their staff arrived right on time and went about their business professionally and efficiently. They were done in 4-5 hours, and left the place clean. I've had no problems so far; everything's working great!

Herb arrived at the appointed time and was courteous and professional. He initially thought the issue with the air conditioning could have been lack of freon/refrigerant but found an open run cap on the blower and replaced it. Air conditioning was started and operated normally.

They were excellent. They were responsive, dependable, reasonable in price and gave good advice. We will use them again in the future.

They had a better price than the competitors. They helped me get great financing. The salesman was one of the best that I have seen, knowledge wise. They are an honest straightforward company.

it was a good experience at a reasonable price. I was able to get an appt with this company much faster than with the company who usually services our unit. I'll have Arctic Air out at the end of the season to see if they're able to determine where my system is leaking.

The heat pump is now working. Fred explained what was being done and what possibly would be needed in the future. This was not an easy job due because of the type of heat pump. Acadia. Much time was spent to resolve the problem. Fred and Christian were true problem solvers for this heat pump

On a VERY hot Sunday afternoon in July, my central air conditioning stopped working. I tried calling various air conditioning service companies, but could not reach any. I turned to "Angie's List" and found Arctic Air Conditioning. Within an hour the technician was at my home, fixed the problem, and the air conditioner was cooling my home again. I did pay extra because it was a Sunday, but I was so pleased with the fast service, the ease with which the problem was solved, and the professionalism of the serviceman, that I did not find cost to be an issue.

Our house in Long Branch, NJ was damaged by Hurricane Sandy, and we had 5+ feet of water in our basement. Our furnace was completely destroyed and needed to be replaced. We called Arctic Air Conditioning because of their A+ rating on the Better Business Bureau site. I can't say enough good things about this wonderful company! In spite of our whole town and county being devastated by the storm, Arctic responded right away (it usually took forever to even get a return phonecall from repair companies). Immediately someone from Arctic was over to give what turned out to be the most reasonable estimate we received (compared to 2 other companies). The servicemen who came to install the furnace were prompt, courteous, and totally professional. We were completely happy with the job they did. But this company then went above and beyond. During installation, one of the servicemen noticed something in our basement that concerned him, so he reported it to the owner. A few days later, Arctic called us again and said they wanted to send their servicemen back to check on something (free of charge). Shortly after this investigative visit, the owner of Arctic took the time to call us and alert us about a potentially dangerous issue with our chimney liner -- about which we had no knowledge. This was completely unrelated to the furnace they had installed, yet they went out of their way to advise us about this other problem that, left unaddressed, could have been quite dangerous. The owner was also courteous and helpful with making referrals for doing the required chimney work. (I would trust his recommendations over anybody else!) Needless to say, we were quite appreciative. We heartily endorse this company. They have a work ethic and integrity that is quite unusual. That a workman would feel motivated and comfortable to talk to the owner about an unrelated problem we were having speaks volumes about how that company is run.

I wanted to replace the original A/C unit that was over 30 years old with one more efficient and reliable. I contacted multiple companies that I know have done work in my development and chose to go with this company based on their reviews and estimate. After a small mix-up on the installation date after I returned home from a trip, I was very pleased with the final installation completed in one day. The 3 man crew was professional and answered all my questions and concerns. They helped with all necessary permits and the completion of the paperwork for a rebate offered by the utility company. I plan to use the annual maintenance contract offered.

There were subcontractors from Home Depot. They were very prompt. They were clean. I felt that I got a good warranty with them. The unit is good. The price was good.
