They had great service, it took them only 5 minutes to complete.

We have been using Arctic Air for more than 10 years and had previously always been very happy with them. Our AC went out last Thursday and we arranged an appointment for this morning. Arctic Air came on time, determined that our fan motor was faulty and fixed the unit. The service itself was fine. The issue my wife and I had was the price and the refusal to give a breakdown of the price. If the cost was say $250-$400, this wouldn't have been an issue, but I expected the price to be more like $500 than $750. Basically, we were given a flat fee for the bill. When my wife asked for a breakdown, we were refused. This just gives us the feeling like we were overcharged. And it didn't help that I Google'd the price of the motor and it was under $200. Even, if the motor price was $400, the $750 still seems a bit excessive for the 1.5 hours that the repair person was at our home. We normally would never consider going to anyone else for our heating and AC, but after this experience, we may look into other places that our neighbors use.

From the initial contact to interaction with the sales person, and to the final installation this company exhibited a high degree of professionalism. The sales person was very knowledgeable and gave me 2 different scenarios and quotes to consider. With all factors considered, including financing, rebates and tax credits, this was the best deal. Other contractors/companies were less competitive and the proposals often included equipment that I did not need and often did not present a clear and written proposal. There were 3 installers who arrived promptly at 9 am and were finished by approximately 4 pm. These guys took a lot of pride in their workmanship. They were professional and polite. They really demonstrated an attention to detail.

My furnace needed to be repaired. After first getting a quote from another HVAC on fixing the furnance vs. replacing the furnace ( as well as quotes on replacing the A/C and water heater that were 17 yrs old) I decided to contact Arctic Air mostly based on reviews on Angie's List and because they have been in business since the 70's. An owner of the company, Ross Albert, came himself to our house. He gave me a lower price, compared to the other company's quote .... and the other company did not include a humidifier in their quote. Ross was also able to offer me 2 years interest free financing through his partnership with Home Depot Several days later, three installers from Arctic Air completed the job. They were very professional, a pleasure to talk to, and I thought they did great job. I already received several complements from friends & relatives on the quality of their installation. Also, I forgot to mention, Ross / Arctic Air took care of submitting the paperwork for my high efficiency rebates. I would highly recommend Arctic Air for any HVAC job.

We were very happy with the whole experience. The Customer Service person, pleasant and well versed at her job, set the timely appointment. The Service Tech introduced himself, and preformed complete diagnostics with the repair, was knowledgeable, informative and friendly.

It went well. I might use them again.

I have used Artic Air for almost 20 years. My old home heater finally went out and I contacted Ross at Arctic Air and Sunday morning he came out and explained the cost of repairing the old unit versus different types of newer high efficiency units. I decided it was time for both a new heater and A/C unit and his crew were here this morning at 8:15 to start working. They changed everything and did a great job. They are true professionals and I feel like I got a fair deal on a great Lennox system. They always stand behind their work, so I know if there are any issues they will be right out and fix things.

I was told by the owner that they did not have a replacement gas valve for the unit and that they were unable to find a compatible valve. They claimed to have 2 people searching for a new part for several days. They insisted they needed to give me an estimate for a new boiler. I was given a ballpark cost of $6000 to $8000. I searched online and found a new gas valve of the same exact model within minutes. (the one they claimed they were unable to find) There were even several of the exact model valve in my local plumbing supply shop (it was a pretty common part). I purchased one for $100 and it was a simple install. Thankfully I was able to avoid purchasing a $6000 furnace. I would never trust this company. They were still able to charge me $109 to come over and do absolutely nothing except try to rip me off.

When I called for my air conditioning issue, the customer service staff can identify the issue over this phone call. Their tech arrived a few hours later and did a further test. They come back next day and resumed normal function of my A/C system. My family feel happy with their service and will let my relatives and friends know their excellent and professional work.

Called after 4pm on a Friday afternoon. Person on phone explained fees ($135) and service (30 min diagnostic and labor). She also had me check for a few things that might be an easy fix (tripped breaker, switch shut off, etc) as well as for things that might prevent a repair (frozen pipes). Someone would be dispatched to arrive that afternoon/evening. Service Technician Christian arrived within the hour. He was professional and friendly. He checked the unit in the attic, the basement and outside. When he opened the outside unit, he discovered a non-working capacitor, and replaced it $145). We chatted most of the time, both about the job itself and general things. He finished within 30 minutes, and everything is working great again.

Came in time (almost sharp), determined problem for 5 mins, fixed for 10 mins, gone. After 20 mins stepping into the house problem fixed - no leakage, no wet basement, pipes rerouted, superb, love it! Go Arctic Air! Will sign up for regular maintenance services.

The installers arrived promptly at 8:30 am to install the air conditioner. They worked throughout the day,and disassembled and took away the old air conditioner and left at approximately 5pm. They were courteous and professional. The overall price was a little less than other companies offered and included a much better brand with a full 10 year warranty on parts AND labor.and an A/C cover. The owner had previously explained the warranty to me and was most knowledgeable and personable. I would highly recommend or Artic A/C to anyone without reservation.

Not the first time I have used Arctic Air. They are VERY professional, honest, polite, and do excellent work. The crew of 3 men started at 8 AM and did everything to perfection. Exceeded my expectations as usual with the quality and thoroughness of the job they do. You may find a cheaper place, but I can assure you, you won't get the quality and perfection that Arctic Air provides in their workmanship.

Arctic Air gave us the lowest price for the units we were looking for. They were on time, cleaned everything up when they were done and were very thorough in explaining the new systems. Would definitely use them in the future and recommend to others.

The installation of the Aprilaire whole-house humidifier went very well, and has made a huge difference. Arctic Air Conditioning sent two installers to come work on the job. Not sure if that is there norm, but it was nice to have two guys working on the job. Much more efficient. When they entered my home, they immediately put protective booties over their boots to protect our floors. And they put them back on each time they came up from the basement. That was a nice, often overlooked, touch. When the work was done, they took plenty of time to show me the system, how it works, how to maintain it, etc. Also made some recommendations on the furnace itself (for maintenance) based on what they saw while they were working. They were extremely polite and helpful. All of their "paperwork" is handled on an iPad including credit card payment, which is also nice. The only reason I scored a "B" for pricing is because I found the retail cost of the equipment to be around $150. So the rest of the cost was all labor. Im sure I could have found the job cheaper if I had shopped it around a bit more. However, after the work was done I could care less...that's because of how great they were to work with. Overall, perhaps not the cheapest, but well worth the cost.

I give them As straight across the board. They were extremely responsive. They came within the half hour of when I called. They zeroed in on what the problem was. I thought that I needed to have something replaced. They could have had the opportunity to have charged me much more than they did. They told me what I needed. They were forthright, honest and reasonable.

We had been having trouble with our furnace for a few weeks (it was over 20 years old) and it was on the verge of dying. Well, on the coldest night of the year it did. First thing in the morning we called Arctic Air and they sympathized with our predicament and told me someone would be over within 45 minutes. 20 minutes later Ross came by as he was kind enough to re-arrange some of his non-emergency appointments to stop by. He gave us an estimate and walked me through the process making me feel very comfortable about what was needed and what was to be done. He also took his time to explain what options we could go with and why we didn't need to and couldn't really go with a larger unit. Their prices were better than we had hoped for and that lead us to do also have our air conditioner replaced at the same time (it was the same age). Within about 2 hours the crew showed up and got right to work. The entire time they were professional and neat. When everything was done, they made sure to run it through some cycles and do some tests to make sure everything was working properly. Their office has been great since the installation in answering all of our questions, following up and helping to walk us through the permit process. We couldn't be happier.

Ross, the owner came out to speak with us and give us a quote. He was very professional and gave us the best quote of the lot. In the summer my wife had a few people come and give us prices and back then Arctic was the least expensive, and when Ross came and saw us this time the quote was even better. We met with him on a Friday and we had the new system fully installed and operational on Monday night (1 day full install). So far so good and we are excited to have a new AC for the summer.

We generally obtain at least 3 estimates prior to making a decision of this magnitude. Arctic Air was the first estimate I scheduled and the office staff was very professional and accommodating. The appointment was confirmed the day before and Tom (Heat and AC specialist) arrived as promised and provided different tiers of quality and cost. We went over each option and weighed pros and cons. I was provided a stack of local references and a brief overview of the company. I advised Tom that I still had some estimates coming in and would make a decision soon. There was no pressure, sales gimmicks etc... He left and said let me know if you have any questions. I kept in contact throughout the estimation and decision making process and Tom was very responsive and answered all the questions I had without pressing me for a decision or bashing competitors. The estimates I received were very close however when looking at overall value I felt Arctic came out on top. The no nonsense approach, do it right attitude, strong company history, references, coupled with a proven track record was enough for me. I actually joined Angies list after selecting them and after seeing the ratings I sent a message to them. The owner responded to me the next day. When we signed the deal there were no surprises and everything was as discussed. The office staff confirmed my install appointment the day before and the crew arrived shortly before 8:30 (as promised). The floors were covered with runners from the front door to the basement work area. Each technician introduced himself as they came in the door and they immediately started. Tom arrived in the early morning to see how things were going, had a brief look around, and made sure everything was as expected. By mid-afternoon the units were ready to go and the Service Department Manager and Service department technicians arrived to check everything out, charge, test etc... While the units were being serviced, the install crew was cleaning up and going over the install checklist with me. They showed me how to use everything, asked if I had any questions and then were on their way. A few days later I received a follow-up to see how things were etc.... The system is working flawlessly. These folks take pride in what they do and it really shows. The install was very neat and professional. This was a no worry, no stress, no hassle deal from start to finish. They take care of everything and there is no "nickel and diming" or upselling involved. They say what they are going to do and then do what they say. Most importantly the job is done right! I would not hesitate to refer them to anyone and plan on doing business with them in the future. .

First visit to get estimate went well. Ross followed up with a phone call offering a $300 rebate. I asked about a touchscreen thermostat and Ross upgraded for me. Installation date was set. Installation went well. Workers were on time, polite, young, and experienced. I paid with a credit card. The bill from the township for permits was $300. Smooth sailing with fire and plumbing inspections. Everything works well and I already see a difference in both electric and gas bills. Received a "thank you" card from Arctic Air and a follow up call after installation. I will have Arctic Air do maintenance each spring and fall to extend the labor and parts warranty.

Since the compressor is the most expensive part in the unit and the broken unit was 16 years old, the service provider recommended to replace the entire unit and we agreed. A price was quoted and was installed within a few hours. Arctic Air had a unit in stock so we didn't have to wait long, which was great since it was so hot. The installers were professional and no high pressure sales. The installer was supposed to be here between 9-11am, came at 11:30am. We spoke to a friend who also installs units and he said we got a really good price.
