Monk's does a highly professional well managed renovations project from start to finish. Once project is signed off on, a project manager handles it all. In my case it was Matthew Ayers. He addressed any concerns or changes I presented in a timely manner and to my satisfaction. My project was a bathroom remodel that turned out absolutely beautiful with wonderful craftsmanship. Thanks to the initial design consultations in their studio with Cortney it turned out perfect. Much patience from the Monk's team while I made numerous changes, adds, etc. There was a glitch or two with verifying the supplies, incorrect toilet which caused a delay since it had to be reordered. Due to supply chain issues, this delayed the time to complete. Otherwise the project manager, Matthew made arrangements to accommodate any inconvenience. I was completely satisfied two years ago when I first worked with Monk's for my kitchen remodel and was so pleased with that project that I decided to give them my bathroom project this past year. I have other projects on the horizon and won't hesitate to go with them again.

We had Monk's paint the exterior of our house, and replace a number of damaged shingles. We are very pleased with the quality of the work. The paint job is flawless, and even though the house is more than 40 years old, the carpenter managed to make the new shingles blend in perfectly. Everyone we dealt with, from the first phone call, to the estimate, through the completion of the job, was professional and courteous. Phone calls and emails with questions were followed up on promptly. There were a few delays due to materials and workers not being immediately available, but overall the project was completed in a timely manner. We are definitely happy to have chosen Monk's for the job.

You get what you pay for.. The work is impeccable. They fulfilled all commitments for showing up on time, completing the work on time and following up to make sure the job was done to our satisfaction. I have used monks for other projects and I've not been disappointed yet.

Monk's referred us to an architect who accomplished our required plans quickly and for a reasonable price. The project was managed by Bill Buckner, and our renovation proceeded efficiently and quickly (right before the holidays!). The framers and painters were all super nice guys and hard workers, and we are very satisfied with the results. I would hire them again!

Just writing a quick note that we were really happy with the work Monk's did for us. We very much appreciated the advice and the suggestions to re-do the stair treads and the bannister - they turned out incredible. Everyone that we worked with was courteous and always let us know when they were going to be here. We felt the quality of the work was excellent and very professional. This is the second time that we have hired Monks, the first time was about 18 months ago when we remodeled our kitchen, and now our mug/laundry room. Bill Buckner was our project manager on our kitchen and we requested him again...does a great job!!! Jaime and the crew took over and did an excellent job, with little or no disruption to anything else....great craftsmen! Next up is one of our bathroom.

Monkâ  s repaired and replaced damaged shower floor, tile, wood framing, shower pan, drain, insulation, and added water-proofing system and marble slabs for glass. John at Monkâ  s was super responsive always getting back to me in a timely manner. He also stayed on top of our project to see that it started in a very reasonable timeframe. All of the work took 4 days to complete and the quality of the work exceeded our expectations. The shower looks so much better than it did when it was first installed. I would highly recommend Monkâ  s for any home improvement job.

We've worked with John Mangiafreno at Monks twice for our kitchen and bathroom remodel. John and his team (Gido, Gio, Johnny) are extremely professionally, efficient, and talented. The job site is swept clean after every day and they take care of your house as of its their own. John is always accessible for any question or concern you might have. Throughout the project John is open and transparent when he sets realistic expectations, that he always exceeds.

Worked diligently. Good pricing and great quality. Would hire them again. Repaired and painted bedroom ceiling after a roof leak. Ended up having them paint the whole bedroom and also repaired drywall in master bathroom and painted the whole room. Great job.

Absolute nightmare. Single worst contractor experience ever. Ordered new custom windows and french doors. Nothing came in as ordered. Installation was shoddy with paint left on the glass and hardware missing. Installation crew even painted plastic moldings which wer never supposed to be painted and improperly installed window moldings. Custom woodwork (moldings) looked like it was done by a 12 year old in woodshop. Months later we are still without proper hardware. Installation crew did not follow proper COVID protocols. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy.

Good price and great quality

We've worked with Monk's previously, several years ago, for a whole-house exterior house painting job. We knew we wanted to work with them again, for a needed front porch repair. Kurt Becker visited, discussed the job with me, and was able to email me an detailed estimate right away. He was willing to price out a few variations on the project, which was helpful. After we decided on the project details, the crew were able to begin the following week, and wrap it all up within a few days. We had porch corner posts replaced, some of the flooring and ceiling boards replaced, and a new railing built and installed. We also asked them to replace the exterior trim on 2 second story windows. They repainted the new porch wood and front steps, to match the house colors. It's always great to work with the Monk's crews. They are professional, capable and clean everything up at the end of each work day. There is always a crew manager, in this case, Huibel, who is on site to discuss daily progress, and answer questions. It's been a pleasure to have them work here. I recommend them.

I talked with Kurt Becker of Monk's Home Improvements on August 13 about getting painters to refresh the rooms on the first floor of my house as well as the master bath on the second floor. The house is for sale and I was contacting him from out of state as I have already moved. In quick order, he visited the house, sent me an estimate and once I confirmed, he booked a start date of Monday, August 24. The painters used a day to prep and to take wallpaper down in one of the rooms. They painted 4 rooms, two hallways, one bath - including ceilings, doors and trim work and were finished by Friday, August 28. The house looks terrific and we are so grateful to Kurt and Monk for their prompt response and quick completion of the job - and especially for working with me long distance. I had used Monk for prior projects and knew I could count on their workmanship.Thank you! Jane O.

Had my master and guest bathrooms completely renovated. My project manager was John Mangiafreno and he is excellent, cannot say enough good things about him! He was there every day overseeing the project from start to finish. He addressed all of my questions and/or concerns in a timely fashion and kept his crew abreast of whatever we had discussed. His crew was very respectful of my home and left it looking clean at the end of the day. John is truly an asset to this company and I highly recommend him and his crew.

The people that worked on this project for us were professional, polite and kind. They did a fantastic job painting and staining and I will hire Monks again when it is time for inside projects.

I have used Monk's for my interior and exterior painting. I have dealt with Tito Ceciliano for both projects. The work was done professionally, clean and always provided updates along the way to completion. I definitely would utilize Monk's for future work, recommend them to others and would request Tito Ceciliano to work on any future work.

Monk's made our bathroom reno a very smooth and pain-free experience. Beginning with the design conversation with Trevor and Nicole, we were walked through every detail of the design and helped with picking the best fittings and material that fit our budget and personal choice. Then Robert and John took over the project execution, which was a quick and prompt job. John and his crew ensured that the workplace was kept clean and caused limited disturbance to our daily life within the house. The reno was turned around quicker than anticipated to accommodate some urgency in our personal schedule. I will definitely work with Monks again for any reno needs in the future

We just had Monk's in to renovate our home after some major water damage. New floors, sheetrock repairs and painting work, all done quickly, professionally and at a reasonable price. Thanks to John Clausen and his crew, led by Alberto and Gilberth and their men for getting us back to normal in time for the holidays. We had used Monk's to paint our house in the summer and were so pleased with the work, we never hesitated to call them back when we were faced with this disaster. Highly recommended.
