I waited some time before posting this review because I couldn't believe how smoothly everything went. I just knew something would come up, but nothing did. So, it is with delight that I can say from getting the estimate, to meeting the foreman, and seeing the crew over a two week period (a few days of rain in that time), the experience went exactly as they described. The crew was a very pleasant group from Costa Rica who cleaned up their items at the end of each day. Did I mention they worked what seemed to be twelve hour days? They left no mess after the last day. The cedar was hand stripped -- no pressure washing to gouge marks in the cedar -- till smooth and clean, only a few remnants of old paint in the cracks between tiles. The paint looks great and is mildew resistant. About two weeks after the job ended, I noticed one area that seemed a little more dull than the rest, maybe even a little yellowed. I called the foreman who looked at it and said they would re-do that area just to be sure. So, one more day of priming and painting and it looks great. There was no debate, no pushback, just we will do it till you are pleased. Obviously, I am happy with the experience and results. I suspect I paid more than other painters; however, I had a lot of carpentry done to clean up rotten windowsills and the like. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Monl's was very fair and very reasonable. They were quick--they originally estimated that it would take 2 full days, but wrapped everything up in Just under a day and a half. They were clean, courteous, and did a great job. Would hire them again.

They did a first class job and the house looks terrific. They showed great attention to detail, even going through our many windows to make sure they open. They started late because of weather delays, but finished quickly once they got going. It had been many years since our last paint job and there was some wood deterioration but their carpenters replaced the unfixable and the sanders took care of the rest.

We had seen signs in the area and we got something in the mail from them. They came out and did what they said they would do. The price always goes up a little when they get started with a project, but they stayed pretty much within their estimate.

They are great! They show up on time and always clean up at the close of the work day. Most recently they did molding throughout our entire home and painted most rooms. They also stained our deck.

Excellent. They evaluated the job and sat with us to discuss the complete estimate. They started the work on schedule, worked almost non-stop for 4 days, some days for 12 hours. The sanding was done with vacuum sanders which picked up all dust and paint chips.Painting was done very cleanly and neatly.

Booked them in Fall 08 for early Spring 09. Sales guy was slick and professional. Asked to be the first job in the spring. Paid a $100 deposit to hold my place "in line". April came and went. Made repeated phone calls. Told that rainy weather had delayed my job (true). Finally, when they started, it was pretty exciting. Lots of guys sanding, lots of action. When the painting began, however, there were only two guys, then after a few days, just one guy, and he did not show up everyday. A 5 day job (I've had similar sized houses painted in the past which took 3-5 days) turned into 6 weeks. Food containers were left in my yard, old paint cans were left (just found another one the other day -- 1 year later), ladders laid on top of new plants (yes, they told me they were not responsible for plantings but did they really have to deliberately try to kill my plants?). I had to constantly call them to see where they were. I kept telling myself that the end product would be great...which it was...but that the process was horrible...which it was. They booked too many jobs at the same time. Some people won't mind that but I do. Plus, while the price was competitive, there are many paint companies in the area who can compete, especially in this economy.

Overcharged for subpar carpentry work. This company is more for high end consumers. Owner never checked to see if I was satisfied, wasn't interested in more work.

The representative who came to give us an estimate was on time and well prepared. We had an estimate for the house but decided to ask about the garage as well and the new price was negotiated. Prep work on the house was extensive. Cedar shakes were repaired or replaced, holes filled and sanded, the woodwork was taken down to bare wood. Everything was primed and given 2 coats of paint.

I was moving from a condo to a much larger house. In preparation to sell decided to paint the condo. This was the second time since I owned the condominium that I had it painted and the difference is amazing with the attention to detail and the caution taken with personal belongings. My mom was there while they were painting and being eastern European she could be a critic. She said that the time and caution taken with the trim was unexpected but was so pleased that she convinced me to paint the new house as well. They said there would be a lot of dust. I thought this was exaggeration since there was no dust the first time I had it painted. Well there was dust every where but ever nail pop, blemish and crack in the corner of the wall was gone.

It took three coats of paint to cover the bare wood. They painted the trim a different color. They were very professional. They were a polite crew of guys. They did a good job of cleaning up and were careful around the flowers at the base of the house.
