We were very pleased with the service and the end results are beautiful. The workmen showed up on time, and worked well after hours. They also cleaned up each night. They were very respectful of my dogs when the dogs were outside, and also of the wildlife in my yard. I will definitely be calling Monks for future jobs.

Monk's home improvement was a great experience. The estimator who came out to our house was very professional. She pointed out areas of my home that could be repaired for a reasonable cost that if not fixed could cause further damage. The price was very reasonable for all the repairs. The guys that came out to do the repairs went above and beyond what they needed to do. They did some painting around the work to ensure that it looked good. Great experience.

It went excellent, clean, neat and professional

The carpentry work was all done perfectly - everything looks exactly the same as before the job was done, except those areas of trim that needed replacing look fresh and new - some were done with wood, and some with synthetic. The staining and painting work was done meticulously and professionally, with proper preparation so I expect it to last and look good for a while. Monks also stands by their work and anything that I've noticed that I thought needed re-doing they have come and fixed up - there wasn't a whole lot of that, but when you do an entire house there's bound to be some spots. The crew was on time every day and worked a long day, so they finished in good time. The exterior of our house looks as good as when we did a major renovation back in 2004.

All began very smoothly, and based on the reviews we had received from others in the area and Angies List we decided to move forward with Monk's. Angel came out, gave us a quote and seemed to be on top of his stuff. The service was scheduled and completed in a timely manner. The facade began to crumble (no pun intended) after the work was completed. The first mistake arose when we found out they had actually used exterior paint on the decks instead of stain (may have been our fault for not fully comprehending what they had said during the initial consultation or for not fully communicating to them what we wanted). Normally exterior paint on a deck would not be a big deal however they only used one coat. About two months after the job we began to see chipping and just overall wear of the paint. We called Angel to come back and take a look- he agreed that the decks were not looking like they should so he sent his man back to go over the problem areas. The workers put an additional coat on the smaller of the two decks but didn't touch the other. Again I had Angel come back out to look at the larger deck and he said that he didn't see any issues and that the wear was actually dirt (this was September). We mutually decided that if I marked the spots that he would have someone come by again to touch it up. Well that person never showed up... This spring I come out to the deck and it's a mess. Half the deck is chipped, a table and bench they painted is peeling and chipped but the deck they used the second coat on looks fine (shocking). Needless to say quality was not what we paid for regarding this job. It's a shame because we have a bunch or projects to complete on the house and we will never use Monk's again because of the lack of craftsmanship on a simple project like sanding/staining a couple of decks. I am normally not a big reviewer but just want buyers to beware and watch over the project when using Monk's. I know they have a great reputation, our experience just did not live up to that standard.

It looks great! They took a few days longer than expected but nothing unreasonable. The work is outstanding. The point person - Maria - was very communicative and wrote a detailed estimate. They did all the stuff on it and the price was as agreed upon.

Tthe great thing about Monks is that they come when they say they will, they give you the estimate on the spot and they do and charge you what they estimate. I have had them here at my home for several jobs and they are a great service. Always polite and respectful and they always follow up to make sure you were happy with the job.

Everything went really well and our new bathroom is gorgeous! This was our first experience doing a total renovation hiring an outside contractor to do the work so we were naive about how the process works... they explained all the steps along the way. The supervisor has done this work himself so he has great knowledge about what is being done... this helps a lot in the process. He and the fellows doing the work were professional, dependable and downright perfectionists! We had a couple of hitches, which is to be expected... Monks was quick to remedy the issue and very resourceful when figuring out solutions. Ultimately, I measure service on the quality of the work being done, and how well they handle problems because, if all is perfect, then anyone can do a good job. Monks passed on all accounts with flying colors. We will definitely use them again and refer them to our friends etc...

I love working with this company.!! They offer all types of painting and remodeling services making it very easy to get a project done. You don?t have to worry about scheduling with various vendors. They are super reliable and their work is of very good quality. If you are not satisfied they come back and fix whatever you want. My PM ? Angel - lives up to his name. I highly recommend this company for home remodeling without all the hassles.

A fast response to my inquiry. He had someone come out within a couple of days to measure and give an estimate. I was happy with the price. The window had to be ordered, The installation was completed in a professional manner, the installer was pleasant, the job was finished, the area was thoroughly cleaned. I would use him again.

yMonks was very professional, responsive and punctuall from my first meeting with the estimater Maria and through the entire process. The work was veru effectively scheduled and there was never a delay between the different teams that worked on the project (painters, carpenters, and floor refinishers). The foreman of each group was professional, knowledgeable, and assured their job was done to my satisfaction. The individuals on each crew were courteous, punctual, and responsive to our needs. The job was completed for the price quoted. Overall I would highly recommend Monk's, they delivered above my expectations

We are very happy to start working with Monks. In our home 20 years and there is a lot of updating that needs to be done. When something comes up I find myself calling Monks to see if they can do the work. Professional, prompt and the clean up is great! The staff at the main office/showroom are very good too. Especially Patty! We will continue to work with the team at Monks.

The job went very well. At the beginning, there were issues ordering doors because the doors were an unusual size, but Monk's came back to make sure the measurments were right before ordering any doors. We really appreciated that they were being so careful. Turned out the previous owner had custom made french doors installed. We finally figured out that the original doors were sliders and then we found the perfect doors to fit, with Monk's help. Monk's installed them in one day and then came back to finish the interior painting that same week. They took great care to not make any mess and cleaned up after themselves very well. They even minimized the amount of time the doors were off, to minimize the loss of heat (it was a very cold day the day of install). They are very courteous and friendly. They showed up on time and finished the work promptly. The painting crew that came to paint the front porch was also very courteous and friendly and they did great work! We are going to have them come back and do more painting this Spring. I would highly recommend Monk's to anyone!

They never followed up. In addition after they completed the original service they told me they would give me a $100 amazon gift card. Instead they gave me a $25 gift card. This was after the service was completed and a review was left. They asked me to do 2 reviews and never followed through with their promise.

They did an awesome job!! I could not have asked for better work or better contractors. Our hallway looks FANTASTIC!! It was a great experience. One mistake on our part was that we forgot to take off an alarm sensor on one of the doors and they even went dumpster diving to retrieve it. Please do not hesitate to use Monks, you will not be disappointed

Professional, polite, neat. Very pleased with the job Monks did on my rental condo. I've used them before so when it came time to paint my tenant's condo they were top of the list. Got two other estimates and Monks was right in the ballpark. My tenant was happy & I'm happy!

The work went extremely well. We initially contacted Monk's over the weekend, and Monday morning they called and scheduled an estimator to come out the following day. After reaching agreement on the scope of work, they wrote up an estimate right there. We gave them a small deposit and they scheduled the work to start the following week. The work was accomplished by two crews - the carpentry crew completed their work in two days, and the painting crew finished their work on the following day. On the Monday prior to the job start, the estimator returned with the carpentry team leader and they confirmed the materials that would be needed and collected the down payment to cover the cost of the materials. The following day the carpentry crew arrived and began their work, which they completed over the next two days. The painters arrived on the 3rd day and completed the painting in one day. Each team leader went over their work after they had finished and collected the balance due for their respective parts. At the end of the carpentry section we had a couple of items that we wanted changed, and they finished them on the spot. The carpenters and painters did a great job and were all very friendly and willing to adapt their work schedule to accommodate our own activities during the course of the project. We are very pleased with the work and with our (almost) new porch. All in all this was a great job by everyone at Monk's!

Very positive end to end experience. Angel was at my house 5 minutes before the appointment for an estimate. He quickly laid out pricing for both some interior and exterior painting which I found to be competitive. I then explained a need I had to re-mediate some exterior trim/siding problems I had. Angel gave me an estimate for this exterior work. Angel was very professional and the quote was written up in a clear, concise manner. I wound contracting with Monk's for the work. They showed up on time and we collaborated together on some options for some additional work for the trim around my front door. Both the painting and the trim/siding work they did was amazing! Monk's team of carpenters were phenomenal - they take a lot of pride in their work and they were very courteous. They were there for 2 days and cleaned up at the end of each day. When they showed up to start the work, Angel the estimator joined them and did the introductions - including the exchange of mobile numbers to ensure there would be no communications issues. I recently did an addition on my beach house and dealt with about 5 contractors so i have some recent experience. My experience with Monk's far exceeded my expectations! I plan to use them for several other projects around the house. I am delighted with the quality of their work and the end to end customer experience.

They were responsive to calls for estimate, showed up at the time and date agreed upon. The team that did the work was nice and we were happy with the end result. I would use them again for painting and carpentry.

I called for an estimate on Monday, they came out on Tuesday to provide a quote and did the work for us on Wednesday, in one day. I was in a rush to get this done as we were preparing the house for sale and they went out of their way to accommodate the time frame we had. The gentlemen that came and did the work were very courteous, neat, detailed, and right on time. They did an awesome job and left the house spotless when they left. I will most definitely be calling them again when we are settled in the new home where there will be plenty of work needed. Thank you Kurt and Monk's! I couldn't be happier!

Once again, Monk's service and performance was outstanding. This project was performed meticulously - they sealed and painted the exterior trim work on a new addition as well as the existing home. They took the time to cover every nail hole, window seal and flaw with the utmost precision. Thank you Monks. We appreciate your professionalism and service.
