We used Monk’s to gut and redo our daughter’s bath in New Jersey from our home in Florida. Despite working remotely, the entire project went smoothly. From the design by designer, Amanda Cook, through the construction, overseen by Joey Valerio, the responsiveness, communication and work was excellent. The job was started and completed on time as predicted. We definitely recommend them and would use them again.

I am thrilled with the job Monk’s did on our powder room and hall bathroom! Cortney Tripodi guided us through ordering all the items that satisfied our needs, style and budget. I don’t think we could have done it without her expertise. And she was pivotal in seamlessly resolving product issues !! Our product manager Vincent Pileggi always came by the job to resolve any issues and keep the job going. The workmen were also great, skilled and responsible.

We went with Monks based on all the great reviews. Interesting was afterwards speaking with folks who were not pleased. The biggest issue is once they are gone they do not respond. That is our situation also. They go dark. No sense going into details on our bathroom. We are not alone

Great work, hired Monks to paint, they were on time, did it quickly and came out perfectly. Will definitely use them again for painting or any other service they provide.

We just remodeled our main bathroom with Monks. We are so happy with the outcome and with the entire process from design to construction. The staff at the showroom and on the job site were professional and respectful and did great work. We live in an older home with some challenges and attention was paid to details. We will definitely recommend them to friends and family and look forward to future projects with them.

Highly recommend Mike Mina (Morris County). He was extremely responsive and no pressure sell. He and the whole team (Foreman - Victor) were all a pleasure to work with and extremely reliable - they showed up everyday early, respectful of our belongings and did an amazing job. Already have future projects. We started with painting one bedroom and decided to paint amost full interior of house.

Over the last year and a half, I have had Monk's Home Improvements take care of some projects around my house. The first was a renovation of my basement. The second was the replacement and painting of exterior trim and a couple of windows. The third project will entail replacing the patio, which will be done this summer. On each project, I have so far been very impressed with the professionalism and accessibility of the staff at Monk's, especially Brian and Alex who have made every effort to ensure that the work was done to my satisfaction.

We just completed a remodel of the Master Bath and Powder Room using Monk's. We are extremely happy with the final products. We were impressed with Monk's from the beginning to the end of the project. Denise Klein was so helpful with design and selection of materials. Bill Buckner, our project manager, made sure that everything ran smoothly and that we were kept up to date with the whole process. Ron Beitas handled the labor and installation. We were so blown away by the quality and craftsmanship shown by Ron and his crew. At the end of each day the work areas were cleaned and the crew was very respectful of our space. Ron had several ideas to improve the project that we appreciated and used. We wouldn't hesitate to call Monk's for future projects.

The experience working with Mike Mina and Monk's was nothing short of excellent. It was a smaller roject for us...We had a relatively new deck with a portion roofed over, and we were looking to install screens to "enclose" the area. Mike came in, spoke with us about our vision, took his measurements and had a quote to us within a couple of days. We were fortunate enough to be able to schedule the work the following week. The job that was anticipated to take 4 days took two...Mike checked in with us at every step of the process. We could not be happier with the result. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

I have used Monks for many projects at my home over the years including exterior painting, basement renovations and water damage repairs. Most recently, Monks completed renovations on two bathrooms, including a full renovation of our master bath. The finished project is better than I could have imagined and the finishes are upscale and beautiful. Nelson Santiago and the entire team at Monks is always very professional, precise and efficient. They communicate with their clients throughout the process and are very responsive to questions or changes. Overall, it's always a pleasure to work with the team at Monks from the design process to final execution. That's why we'll continue to hire them for projects at our home.

We recently used Monk’s for a guest bathroom gut and re-do. We decided to go with them, as our neighbors used them for a master bathroom and were quite happy. We called them and they were immediately responsive, making an appointment to come over for an initial walk-through. From there they provided an extremely thorough and detailed estimate. Based on that, along with our neighbor’s review, we decided to use them. Well, we could not have been happier. Their communication was excellent and clear. Everything was documented. The amount of information provided to us was incredible. There was nothing left to the imagination. It was all extremely comprehensive and transparent. Any questions we had were answered immediately and clarified. There was also no problem if we wanted to buy some of the materials/fixtures ourselves (which we did). Zero pressure to buy through them, although anything bought through them they would guarantee. They were extremely prompt, always arriving exactly when they said they would. They were courteous and kind. No question of ours was too trivial, too dumb, too naïve. Everything was treated with respect. Issues identified along the way were IMMEDIATELY corrected without question. This was truly a partnership, and they went out of their way to make sure we were happy. We were consulted throughout the project for anything they were unsure of or for anything needing further discussion. We left them alone in our house without reservation and felt at ease in doing so. They covered floors and cleaned up every night after themselves. The project manager, Chris, was our go-to guy throughout the project. He approached our questions and concerns calmly and ensured our issues were immediately resolved. He knows his stuff and shared his knowledge freely. He took an active approach and checked in frequently with us. Our crew was headed up by a gentleman named Ivan, who could not have been more respectful, helpful and willing. He and his team’s work was meticulous and any issues that arose (yes, issues will always come up in large projects, so don’t freak out!) were dealt with and corrected immediately with no questions asked. We felt all the way through the process that they had a vested interest in the success of our new bathroom! All in all we could not be happier with our beautiful new bathroom and we look forward to using Monk’s in the future.

They replaced a drop-down attic stair. The work was done well and cleanly. Some slight damage to a wall was repaired the next day even though it meant the job foreman waiting in his truck in my driveway for a couple hours while the spackle dried.

Matt Ayers and his crew did an excellent job gutting a 40-year-old bathroom and replacing it with a new shower, toilet, countertops, sinks, flooring and tiles. They always showed up when expected, worked around my schedule, were friendly, courteous and professional, and did quality work. All drop cloths, supplies and tools were removed from the job area each day and stowed away. A few of the workers did not have strong English, but they are very good at using smartphone translation software and there were no communication problems at all. Matt visited or followed up by phone or email on an ongoing basis. The only minor hitch was that the external tiling vendor sent a box of slightly warped shower tiles. This was corrected immediately with no inconvenience or added cost to me. The job quote was a bit of sticker shock initially but over time I realized you get what you pay for, especially after hearing about negative experiences friends have had with other home remodelers. Overall, very happy.

Finishing up a renovation with Monk . Our project manager Nelson Santiago has been super helpful with making sure everything has gone smoothly. When there have been any issues he has been there to work them out and make them right. I recommend Nelson and monk for your home renovation needs.

As I write this the beautiful countertops of my new kitchen are being installed. The Monk's crew, under the direction of Chris Klug, Project Manager, continue to be very professional, efficient, and detail oriented. The final steps to a completely new kitchen are being completed. I can't say enough great things about Chris Klug, the crew, and the very capable designer, Kala Rae.

I hired Monks to update my condo master bath – the entire process from design to completion was very easy and Matt Ayers the project manager and his team did a great job. The crew was polite and professional. Admittedly there were one or two minor delays, but Matt did a great job to ensure the project moved along and that I was pleased with the outcome. I’m very happy with my new bathroom!

Excellent performance and communication on a major home improvement project. This include new floors, stairway, doors and repainting the entire house.

We just had Monk's complete a kitchen renovation and we are thrilled with the final result! We had a wall knocked down, cabinets repainted, floors redone, and full paint job in the kitchen and dining room. The price was reasonable and the service was outstanding. We loved having Chris Klug as our project manager. Chris let us know in advance exactly what to expect each day the workers were on the job. He was diligent in following up and addressed every request we had until the completion of the project. We are thoroughly enjoying our new space!

The team at Monk’s Home Improvement were fantastic! Roberto is knowledgeable, patience and timely from start to finish. I truly appreciated his guidance and attention to detail. Roberto lead me through the process step by step then introduced me to Joe and Jose who executed all of my wishes resulting in a stunning updated kitchen. I couldn’t be happier!
