Work was done in November 2018 within about a 2 week period. There were 3-4 workers during the project, all good craftsmen, and open to suggestions and small changes along the way. Oversight and supervision was excellent and it was easy to communicate at any time regarding any details or explanations. Slight delay occurred to order additional decking when initial order ran out (didn't want to overbuy expensive decking material). Working with composite decking material required careful workmanship and lead carpenter was excellent. In addition the original and new deck was in contact with a new three-seasons porch, requiring extra care to avoid any damage to it. Final result met our expectations and then some. Workers also seemed very pleased with their work, many taking pictures after their thorough cleanup, and before leaving. Overall it was a very good experience.

Travis and his team did a great job. They sanded and stripped our doors where needed. Stain and a clear coat were applied and completed in the stated two day framework. We would definitely hire them again in the future.

My wife and I put off remodeling the kitchen for years partly because we didn’t want to deal with the inconvenience of living without a kitchen for a long period and partly because we couldn’t find a contractor that we were confident with. We had heard so many horror stories from friends and neighbors about long delays and inferior work. That all changed when we went to Monks’ Design Center in Morristown and met Design consultant Marien Ronan. She came out to our house several times and created a few different floor plans. Marien helped us pick tile and cabinets, light fixtures, paint colors, and gave suggestions on appliances. She was always available whenever we needed her and was never upset with all the changes we made to the original plan. Project Manager, Bill Buckner, and his staff were equally as tremendous. Bill provided me with a plan and timetable and kept to it. They actually finished the project a day or two early. All of the craftsmen that did work in the house, whether they were painters, or floor tile installers, electricians, plumbers, demolition, were professional and personable. All the work was done with as little mess and inconvenience to us as possible. Whatever issues we may have had, they were few and minor, were immediately resolved. Every bit of their work met or excided our expectations. I not only would use Monks again but plan on doing so in the very near future. I wholeheartedly recommend Monks with no reservations.

Basement floor and walls, garage walls, one room, four closets, hallway and foyer were painted. Carpet was removed from a room, hallway and stairs. The wood floors under the carpet were sanded, sealed and two coats of poly were applied. The crew was professional, punctual and polite and the quality of their work was excellent.

Monk’s provided considerable preliminary help in material and design selections. Work began promptly after ordered materials arrived, with a fixed crew and supervisor assigned to the project. Communication with supervisor during the job was always available, friendly, and professional. All were easy to work with and took real time suggestions and changes well. It was a pleasure working and making decisions with them. The entire surface of the old deck was removed and underlying support structure reviewed and repaired or improved where necessary. The deck design required angle cuts on almost all decking pieces and a fair amount of detail work. New benches were also constructed. The overall quality of work was excellent. The project proceeded on time consistent with the weather, with only a week’s delay due to additional decking material being needed. The work area was cleaned up regularly and thoroughly. The crew seemed proud of their finished product, and the owner is very pleased with the new deck, railing, and stairs.

Couldn't have done a better job. We had a remodel done fairly recently (by another firm) and some of the taping around the joints was coming undone along with nail pops and other issues. We received an estimate from Monk's within 2 days and they were able to schedule the work the following week. The job was promised to take 4 days and they finished in 2 (when's the last time that has ever happened?!) Guys were professional and cleaned up after work. Would absolutely hire again.

Exceptionally well. They took a project that was 80% finished by a different contractor and brought it over the finish line without any issues or drama. Prices were extremely fair and the staff members were all professional and courteous. I will use them for all services they offer in the future.

Went perfectly.. Travis Marion brought in well trained professional painters, floor finishers and a molding expert. Everything was done on time under a short time frame.

There were a few hiccups due to miscommunication, but once we ironed it out everything went smoothly. It was just an awful two weeks because of the horrendous rains we had in August. The crew worked really hard and the one guy even came to complete a few odd spots on a Sunday because it was the nicest day we had.

They were excellent. Used top quality Sherwin Williams paint, did an excellent job. Their estimate was very reasonable, and they stuck with it to the dollar. I wanted my old aluminum shutters painted. They were faded and really an eyesore. I also wanted a complete change of color. We were trying to deal with daily rain, and Jon Clauson did everything possible to get the job done so that the paint would completely dry before more rain was predicted. This required very close communication and flexibility on both our parts. I found Monk's to be absolutely top notch in every way. Excellent communication, excellent painters, top quality materials, and the resulting job is everything I was hoping for. My shutters look brand new. I would definitely use them again.

Jason was our point man who looked over the house, sent us a quote, and with whom we dealt throughout the project when there were changes to the scope of work and when we had questions. If not reachable immediately, he got back to us very quickly and was always helpful and pleasant - just a pleasure to work with. Fernando was in charge of the carpentry work and Luis in charge of the painting and both of them were very responsive and pleasant as well. Both crews did excellent and thorough work and we're extremely satisfied with the experience and the results. A couple years ago we have some interior house painting done by another company who had similarly received outstanding customer reviews on Angie's List and we found Monk's to be superior.

From first contact thru the timely completion, everyone at Monks was professional, friendly and helpful. The estimate was very fair and they stuck to it. Follow up was outstanding throuout. My phone calls were always returned quickly. Very highly recommended.
