We had a leak and part of our carpet was lifted and professionally dried out. The padding underneath was also partially removed. I scheduled an appointment for a quote to have the padding replaced and the carpet reinstalled. Mike came by to give us an estimate. He emailed us the quote the same day. We scheduled the appointment when we were ready for the repair. The men who came were very professional and courteous. They repaired the carpet well. And later that day, Gerry came by to examine the work to make sure we were happy with it. Even though it was a small job, It was a great experience. Excellent customer service and excellent communication. I will definitely use Floor Coverings International again and highly recommend them.

Took up rotted pieces replaced. Wasn't happy with one corner they came back and fixed it with no problem.

I called and arranged for an estimate for replacing a poorly installed laminate flooring in an unheated sun porch. The office staff was very friendly and efficient. They set up a date for Mike Killeen to come out to show me some flooring samples. I wanted a couple of flooring options (I wasn't really crazy about having carpeting installed) available for this unheated room. Mike came at the scheduled appointed time (in fact, he called the day before to confirm) and was very professional and knowledgeable. He showed me several samples and the costs - in which he included the Angie's List discount. However, I decided to go with another company due to a lower cost estimate. I would definitely recommend him to others.

Very good work done in a timely fashion. Fit wood in under existing wood work with out damage.

It went great! They arrived at 9:00 AM and finished at 5:00PM.The job was perfect! The next day a manager arrived to inspect the work. To say the least we were very happy.

Materials were delivered 3 days before installation The crew showed up on time and went right to work.installation took 2 days and looked great when finished. I have recommendated this contractor to other homeowners.

My husband and I just bought our first home, and the whole house had these dingy, dirty, looking hardwood floors. The hardwood floors was one of the main reason why I bought this house, but I knew they had to be sanded down and refinished. I called several companies to get pricing and estimate. Some of them were nice and others were just plain rude. When I called Mike to come take a look, he came very professional, took his time looking at our floors and measuring them. I told him what my family situation was like ( I have a son who puts Dennis the Menace to shame). Mike took his time explaining his products and what would best fit my family. Any question I had he answered. Pricing wise Floors Covering came in the highest by only 100 dollar difference from everyone else. I felt comfortable paying the extra 100 dollars because I felt Mike took pride in his work. Well the work they did was amazing. It was over a two day process, and the workers were pleasant to be around. They actually sanded a small part of my floor and put the stain on to make sure that was the color I wanted. When it came to payment Mike was very understanding, I paid a couple different ways ( cash and credit card ), and he had no problem taking payment like that. He sent one of his colleagues to the house to get the payment, and inspect the floors to make sure I was happy. I could not be more happier with the way the floors came out. I would recommend them to anyone who needs work done on their hardwood floors.

I made an appointment and Mike came right on time, spending a good amount of time showing us samples, and helping us find a good match for what we were looking for. He coordinated with the kitchen remodel draftsman to assure work would be done in synchrony with the rest of the remodel, and looked after the details of trim for the existing moldings as well as arranging with the remodelers for trim matching the cabinets (which were things I might not have thought about). The work was performed exactly on schedule, and the floor is absolutely beautiful.

Overall this was a very easy process from start to finish. We had flooring installed in five rooms. Mike was very knowledgeable and thorough in the planning and initial organization of the project. Andre and his crew were hard workers and very professional. Everything was completed in one day and very well done. It was easy to see they took pride in what they do. Jerry completed the team and insured we as customers were satisfied with the outcome. Even when we ran into a bit of a snag, this company was right on it and made sure everything was perfect. Overall we had a very positive experience with refinishing the hardwood flooring in our living room. We couldn't believe how great the flooring under our old carpet could look! They were punctual and did a great job with cleanup. Highly recommended!

Mike, the owner, was very knowledgeable, personable and helpful. He was there to help.By looking at a few strips of damaged wood floor, he identified exactly where I can buy more of them to fix my damaged kitchen floor. I have tried numerous wood floor shops before Mike and no one knew where I can buy more of the same wood.When I have floor job in the future, he will be the first one that I will contact.

I was very pleased with the whole process. The installers arrived promptly, and they completed the work in the time that they said they would. They also cleaned up afterwards.

Excellent quality hardwood refinishing. They were very fast and worked with our limited timeframe. The color of the floor is just what we wanted. The only downside was after the floors were finished, it took a month before they came to collect the rest of the bill.

The representative from Floor Coverings International (Mike?) was punctual, respectful, and professional. He brought a van full of samples that were specific to what we'd asked about on the initial phone call. He did a very thorough job of measuring and described how things would get done. We went and visited the showroom which was also nice, although not huge. Overall, the experience was great. if it hadn't been for his pricing which was about 25% higher than other companies we got quotes from, we would have used FCI. But to be honest, now that we have started the process with another company, I am wondering if that 25% would have been worth it, as we are dealing with poor responsiveness, unexpected changes to timing and other difficulties. I would use FCI in the future and would recommend the company to friends.

As a follow up 2 years later - my floors look much more aged then they should at this point in time. I have places where the finish has worn away. Contacted the vendor a year ago and was told that he believed that we had worn out the spots and that he would get back to us...did not hear back. Would have called them again but was diagnosed with lung cancer at that time and did not want the fight. Our floors should not look like they do just 2 years out from refinishing. Was going to use them again for the rest of the house, will not do so now. Came and look at job overall, gave a good estimate of time,and material and curing time, how long it would take before furniture would be able to go back on floor, also having to use felt pads on bottom of furniture so as not to scratch floor. Only added expense was having them replace the furniture when done.

I liked the convenience, I liked the salesperson, and I liked the installers. I liked everything about them. If I had to recommend them to someone, I would tell them to absolutely go ahead and use them. They are a great company. I would use them again in the future if I need to.

As mentioned we had our bedrooms done by another contractor and they came out awful (I will give their name because the did give me my money back with only a little uncomfortable confortaition). They did not let the stain dry thoroughly prior to applying the poly. We still had the rest of our house to re-finish but we ended up having to finish the bedrooms (again) so we needed to find another contractor. We chose FCI (Floor Coverings International) of Monmouth. We had some time contraints because we were also kitchen remodled so the kitchen contractor was waiting for us ot have the floors refinished in the kitchen as well. IFC were availble to the job within a few days and they came out awesome. They used minwax English Chestnut and an Oil Based Poly (can't remember the brand but it wasn't minmwax) .

Although our living room and dining room flooring had been in need of repair for quite some time, only recently had the wood planks started to come loose. I was worried because it was the first week in June and we were planning to have a graduation party for our son on June 25th. I called Mike and explained the situation. He came to our house the next day and showed us samples. We selected our floor and the entire process was complete in time for our party. This was pretty amazing given the fact that he had to measure, consider some unique issues due to a mid-room step, coordinate the installation with my travel and work schedule, and get the floor installed in time for 50+ people to walk on in just a couple of weeks. The floor is in and looks fantastic.
