The "short" version: the provider made an appointment and no-showed. I accepted the "Big Deal" offer on January 23rd, and received a reply on January 25. Per his message, I called Brian's telephone and provided my name, number and address for follow-up. After three weeks of no reply, I emailed a request that he contact me and make an appointment. Brian did call on February 20, told me how busy he had been, and asked for details of the work that I would like to have done. He then made an appointment to come to my home at 8:30am, Saturday, March 8 -- and that I have all appropriate supplies for the job (primarily caulking in kitchen and bathroom). Brian never showed up. He did not call before, during or after that date. Since I never heard from him, I contacted Angie's List Customer Service to request a refund.

The provider was on time and went right to work. A little later all was installed well.

He arrived promptly and went about the task efficiently and professionally. He was accommodating when I needed to make a quick Home Depot run to get a different tube of caulk. Overall, I'm very happy and would not hesitate to call Brian again.

I was told two hours was enough to do the job but it wasn't. When time was near ending, I was told it would be $60 an hour. The job was rushed and some cabinets handles were not aligned.

He is very nice. Very courteous. I really appreciate him because the storm door got damaged and he tried to tell me that this is under warranty. He gave me a number to call the company and they will replace it that's why I thank him so much. This company is very good. I love this guy. In fact, I called him again to do some little things with me.

It did take a while to finally have Brian come out because of all the snow delays. I am very happy with his work... He was here for 3 hours; but, never asked for anymore money. I only paid for a 2 hour Big Deal. I would use him again...

HE NEVER CONTACTED ME UNTIL AFTER ANGIE'S LIST HAD CHECKED TO SEE IF I HAD HEARD FROM HIM YET. THEN HE SENT ME AN E-MAIL, BUT NEVER CALLED. I CALLED HIM AND HE SAID HE WAS HAVING DINNER, COULD HE CALL BACK WHEN HE WAS DONE. HE NEVER CALLED BACK. THE NEXT MORNING HE LEFT A MESSAGE ASKING FOR "CAROL".

He did a great job! It wasn't an easy install but he knew what he was doing and he did it well. I would definitely call him again!

Everything turned out well, and we would definitely use him in the future. He was very easy to contact, arrived on time, and did a good job with both of the projects. Furthermore, he cleaned up after himself and acted professionally while at the house.

It was a mixed experience. On the first appointment, he was prompt. I had a lot of small repairs to be done and he came with another man and they did many of them. The deal was $59 for 2 hours so since he brought another person, it was one hour as he described it. They were here for like an hour and a half and I paid him additionally for that. He didn’t finish all the work that I had and it was an extensive list and I didn’t know exactly how long it would take. He did finish it but he had added an extra time on another day and he wouldn’t honor the Big Deal price. I paid him $75 an hour which he claimed was his business price and he did complete the things and they were well done. I had problems with kitchen drawers that wouldn’t stay on track and he eventually made a solution to that because the parts weren’t exactly the right size that he was able to obtain. It took him once to get the stuff done. I had to remind him about some things. He came the second time without one of the ports that was needed. He didn’t seem to be the most organized but he did get the work done. He didn’t promise me that he could do all the work in 2 hours. He told me that he would do as best as he could. I saw that he wasn’t taking unnecessary time doing the repairs. I guess it took 5 or 6 hours for him to finish the list. I wish he would have given me something in between, like 2 hours for $60 and $75 for the rest of the hours. That was a bit much but I wasn’t about to change contractors midway. He knew what had to be done and I wanted it done. It was much more drawn out and it took more time than what I expected. It was much more expensive ultimately than I thought it would. He changed appointments a number of times but when we got a time that did ultimately hold, he was on time.

I paid extra for the work inside the home of the caulking of the bathtub. Brian and his crew where very meticulous with their work. They took great pride in getting things done right and not cutting corners.

Not great at communicating, felt he was squeezing me in and went to the wrong house. I waited for him for an hour and 10 minutes only to get a call that he couldn't find me. Had he called earlier I would have helped him out. While speaking to me he said he would have to reschedule now because he wouldn't be able to fit me in. He should have called at 1:00 pm to tell me he was lost not at 2:08 to just tell me he couldn't fit me in. Ridiculous! Sat around waiting for him for nothing.

Big B's provided good service. I bought a special for 2 hours of handyman work. He and his employee worked for 2.5 hours but did not charge me extra. They were punctual, knowledgeable and cleaned up after themselves when complete.

When we first spoke, he told me what hardware to buy for the installation. He listened to my directions about where to install all the items - how high, centered over furniture or offset. He worked at a slow but methodical pace and completed my list of tasks within the time I had scheduled. The only negative was that he arrived late although he did call to let me know.

Everything went smoothly and quickly. Brian and associate (Joe) arrived just a few minutes after nine am and were finished before eleven am. I was entirely comfortable having them in my home. They were well prepared with ladders and tools and cleaned up after themselves. I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and neighbors.

He did a very with the professional job Brian did and, he is a very nice person. I was very happy with his work!!!!

He was prompt, attentive, and he did exactly what I asked him to do. He cleaned up the wrappings when done with the job.

Brian called and we discussed work. Appt made. He no showed. He called a day later and apologized. We rescheduled. We discussed again the work needed. He no showed again!

I purchased the BIg Deal for two hours of service. Brian and his assistant showed up on time and got to work right away on the list I had for them. they completed everything I asked and were very friendly and knowledgable. I have no complaints and would use them again.

I was very pleased with his work, especially the windows , which i had no clue as to to what the problem was, and which he fixed in a total of ten minutes. Both he and his helper were friendly and knew how to handle my concerns.The two hours they spent at my house was well worth the money.

Brian and his crew were great. I have had a hard time finding a reliable handyman. Brian was extremely responsive, very flexible, has a huge breadth of skills and projects he can support and is very reasonable from cost perspective. He even went the extra mile and fixed my front door for me for no charge. I'm really happy to have found him and hope to use him again for more work around m house.....a great find....

Service was wonderful. The owner of the business did the work, which I always appreciate, along with an assistant. They did all the work I had on my list with efficiency and care. They arrived, surveyed the list of tasks and within two hours had everything completed to my expectations. I would definitely call them again if I have the need. They were both pleasant and professional.

I called them to set up an appointment. He advised me that he would not travel to Brooklyn for a Big Deal only for a "regular job". He advised me to contact Angie's List to get a refund. He was polite.

I am very happy with the service and will definitely call them again in the future. They were professional and spent extra time to make sure all the work was done. They did a great job in a timely manner!
