After receiving multiple quotes, we chose the Basic Basement Co. to finish our basement including adding a 1/2 bath. Right from the start, they were very professional. The overall process was extremely efficient and well-coordinated. Gail, our project coordinator, was superb. She kept us informed of next steps and was very responsive to any questions we had. Great value and craftsmanship! Now we have a great addition to our home that we can enjoy!

Basic Basement was great to work with! From the start, Kevin the salesman was on-time and professional. My project managers Bob and Gail helped me every step of the way (even when my mind changed multiple times!). The contractors were professional, respected my home, and were just great to deal with!

Basic Basements made this process extremely smooth and easy. We were seriously not inconvenienced at all despite having pretty major work done in our home. You now how you get an estimate of a timeline and a bottom line cost and you figure in your mind "ok double that - it'll take twice as long and cost twice as much"? That was not the care at all. Both the price and timeline estimates were exactly right! Gail made scheduling so easy and even helped me communicate with the township about permits and an outside HVAC company and Bob oversaw that everything was smooth. Whether it was the painters, floor company, inspector or family, everyone has commented how clean and beautiful the work looks -- smooth lines and attention to detail. Honestly, I wish that everything in my life went as smooth as this project!

The Basic Basement Co did an outstanding job for us. They finished our basement on time and on budget. They were very professional and courteous, followed all COVID-19 safety protocols, maintained active and pro-active communication, handled all logistical items, and overall exceeded my expectations of what a contractor should be doing. After hearing so many horror stories about other companies, it was great to experience a positive outcome. We got exactly what we wanted.

In short, the best value for service (and professionalism). We selected Basic Basement over other companies based on their Design Consultant (Todd) being so knowledgeable and not pushy. Then, from their excellent waterproofing project, we found their other team members to be so customer-oriented as well - from always keeping us informed with various stages of work (Kevin, Field Manager) to scheduling their work teams and attending to our inquiries satisfactorily and promptly (Gail, Business Manager). This led us to hiring the Company again a few months later for our basement re-modelling. They did an even more excellent job that, from the two projects, we love our basement so much now - it looks great (and per our specifications) and the air smells dry even during long rainy days. They also helped us with town inspections. Truly, a top-notch Company and we recommend it greatly to anyone!

My wife and I did a lot of research when choosing a contractor to help us finish our basement, and Basic Basement Co had come highly recommended by a friend. Not only that, their estimate was the lowest out of any that we had solicited. It was an extremely smooth process and their staff was very helpful and attentive throughout. The work was done on-budget and ahead of schedule and we couldn't be happier with the results. There were no surprises or hidden fees and it looks exactly like what we had hoped. The town inspectors (fire, structural and electrical) all commented separately at how impressed they were with how clean the work was. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to get any kind of work done on their basement. This is what they do, and they absolutely know how to do it!

Met with salesman Dan, very nice and personable. He was not pushy in the least and was very knowledgeable. Gail in main office is the coordinator for all facets of the job. Could not ask for a better communicator. She was on top of our job from permits to completion. These guys are very efficient. They have different crews for all the trades required and they’re good. Overall we are very pleased with our basement. And, because of Gail’s communication and their efficiency and price, we look forward to using this company for our kitchen.

We had our basement finished and it was completed well ahead of schedule. Gail and Kevin were wonderful to work with and always responded in a timely manner. We have just completed our basement finishing project and from the first phone-call I have been delighted with Basic Basements. The short review is , just hire them right now - best contractors I have ever worked with for professionalism, and quality: They recognize that time is valuable, so when they said the time they would arrive, they kept to it at the first meeting, and for every single stage of the project. They were very clear on what the job would entail, and a transparent quote that was provided the same day as a consultant visited. So already they are streets ahead of almost any other contractors (I had a couple just not turn up, and others turn up and then spend 2 weeks or more to provide a quote for the work). Upon giving a deposit, I was assigned a project manager, and a scheduler, and the company filled out all of the necessary permit paperwork to make that stage easy with my local town. Once the permits were approved, a date was set, and again, the full timeline, and stages were gone through. They even managed to start the job 2 days earlier than planned (unheard of) and in a single day had the entire basement framed, and insulated. They have their own professionals on staff, so are not reliant on sub-contractors, meaning that what they said would happen happened, on time, to budget. They also were extremely friendly, and observed all possible safety precautions whilst being in my home. Our town inspections (which they scheduled) were over in minutes with the town's inspector saying "these guys always do great work" meaning again that the job sailed along. So, a month after the job began, In the middle of a global pandemic, I have a fully finished basement, meaning virtual schooling is 100% easier, home working 100% easier, and the best part is, they stuck exactly to the agreed budget which, unlike other quotes was not padded because of my zipcode. I would (and have already) recommended them in a heartbeat - they made a major project easy, and seamless, as it should be.

We have been using Basic Companies since 2014. We had them finish our basement (2014), remodel our kitchen (2018) and add a bathroom in the basement (2020). In all cases, the projects were completed on time, budget and with the highest quality. Needless to say, we are very satisfied and will be going to them for our next remodeling project. You cannot go wrong with this company.

Overall I liked and enjoyed all the people who came to do the work with such great professionalism, spirit and a well communicated staff during the entire process. Excellent! They responded very quickly when I requested a quote and they delivered in all aspects! Every deadline was met, the workmanship is phenomenal, and I had no little to no issues. Gail kept me updated every step of the way. I knew exactly what was happening and when. They were on time and very professional. They completed a total remodel including the floor. Absolutely beautiful! So glad I choose them for the project!!

This company did excellent work and i would recommend again. Gail who was my project manager was a pleasure to work with and got the work done on a timely basis even with the Virus and the many slowdowns.

After looking around for couple of months & being tired of doing so, we finally nailed down on the Basic Basement Companies for our basement finishing project and boy was it a great decision or what! We did not want a cookie-cutter design & wanted it done our way with the highest degree of quality but also in a quick time frame. I must mention here that they checked all the boxes & more...they were really top-notch through the entire gig! We started the project in Feb 2020 but had to stop soon due to the COVID-19 situation. They were so accommodating & told me to call them back whenever I feel comfortable to restart the project. I called them sometime in late June/early July and within a week they were back. The speed of execution, the co-ordination & the project management is second to none. Here are some highlights - - Let’s start with Todd, the sales guy who gave me the best price but more importantly explained everything so patiently as I had a few specific requests. - Next up Gail. I would just use one word for her - ROCKSTAR! She is truly one of the best people I have worked with & knows how to help and please customers. From scheduling their crew to come in per my accelerated request to scheduling the inspections, she was a one-stop-shop for anything & everything. - Finally Bob, the Project Manager. He is probably the smoothest operator I have come across & ensures his customers understand every step of the process and works with his customers until they are satisfied. One other key thing that I'd like to call out is that they have different teams for different kinds of work (that helps with the expertise & precision of every job) but everyone came with the required PPE to ensure safety during these unprecedented times. I highly recommend Basic Basement Companies for any remodeling projects that anyone might want to do in their respective homes.

The experience with the basic basement company was like no other, it ran so smooth from the time the project started till the time the project ended.
