We had a phenomenal experience with this company from start to finish! Our experience began with our free consultation which was scheduled at our convenience. When their representative arrived, he was knowledgeable, he listened well and he understood our needs and made recommendations that reflected that. We did not feel pressured into any upgrades etc. During the consultation, the representative was able to provide us with a firm estimate and he even came prepared with equipment to print out our contract! By the end of the consultation, we fully understood what work was going to be done and how much it was going to cost up front. Once we made our contract, the office team put together the permit package fairly quickly. We had no issues once I submitted to my township for approval. After our permit was approved, they began scheduling. On the first day, I met my onsite project manager. He did a great job explaining the process so we would know what to expect. On every single phase of this project, each team was punctual, extremely professional, and performed their tasks quickly. I was impressed at the attention to detail. Every detail we discussed was executed. Another thing that stuck out for me was that they kept the work area extremely clean. They made sure dust did not get into other areas of my home and they always removed their waste materials. Lastly, the person from the office who worked in tandem with my onsite project manager was in constant communication by email. There was never a moment when we weren't aware of when a team was going to show up or when the township inspectors were coming. Even our township inspector was impressed with our job in terms of the quality of the work. They even sent me a thank you card with a generous Visa gift card inside!

The work in our basement was well orchestrated and done in a timely fashion. Workers were punctual and professional in doing a very good job. Gail and Randy were exceptional, very pleasant and professional in coordinating the project, patiently and politely answered all our questions. We have no hesitation using this company again in the future.

This project was a success. The project took about 6 weeks to complete and the job was not big or complicated, but Basic Basement did an excellent job from the sales process right on through the final inspections. The price was much lower than other contractors as they don't offer the concierge or hand holding that others might, but the job was done professionally and they turned an unfinished basement into a beautiful space. We couldn't be more pleased with the process. I would definitely consider them again for other home construction services.

Basic basement did a phenomenal job finishing our basement! They are punctual, responsive when I need to reach them, and extremely efficient and do excellent work. They do not subcontract, every team shows up in the Basic Basement truck and is part of their team : framers, sheet rockers, dry wall and spackle, plumbing and electrical - it’s all their own team and they do an excellent job! We wanted our basement to turn out perfect, and Kevin, Gail, and Bob ensured that we got our dream basement! Thank you so much!!

We hired Basic Basement for what I would label as a basic finishing; no added bathrooms, etc. We liked the reviews we had read for Basic Basements and also the longevity they've had in the industry so we gave them a call. Their estimate was by far the best that we had received so we signed them on to do the work. After a brief period I began receiving scheduling requests and guidance for the filing of permit information that they had provided. They were very clear about what needed to be done and clearly instructed us in the completion of the permit tasks. The person at the permit office in our town even stated that 'they get permit requests involving Basic Basements frequently and they're always correct'. No issues with the town. The staff that scheduled, supervised, and performed the work couldn't be more professional and accommodating. They assisted me with items that required attention for them to do their job, they overcame certain idiosyncrasies in the basement layout, and did it all on-schedule. Each member of the personnel involved were very friendly and obviously very skilled. At inspection times, the inspection personnel were noting the quality of work with every detail considered, one of which said "I've never found a problem with Basic Basements". Have no fear if you're considering Basic Basements for a remodeling/finishing job. You are absolutely in the best hands available.

Project went very well. Gail and Kevin (project manager) are super responsive and organized. Workers were always punctual, professional and courteous. Efficient and on schedule. The few issues that came up during inspections the team handled quickly. Like others have said, nothing basic about Basic Basement Company - would definitely hire again!

Basic Basement Co. did an outstanding job! We had our 260sqft basement done. There were always on time and very professional throughout. They are trustworthy and got the job done quickly. They did not inconvenience us at all throughout the course of the project. The even paint and do floors. We are overall very pleased with the job and would hire them again.

Gail, Randy and their entire team were genuinely concerned with making sure we are happy with the work throughout the process. We were kept informed at every step of the process. Gail was constantly in touch with me scheduling work, addressing concerns if any until all inspections are done. Project was completed on time as planned. Would be happy to recommend.

Basic Basement demolished our old, finished basement and built a new one from the ground up. This included a reconfiguration of the main living space, construction of 2 rooms, and a new wall along our steps. I found the process to be very easy and appreciated their transparency and responsiveness throughout. The quote is very easy to understand and they were willing to work with us on few special situations. Once the work began, it was very efficient and easy to follow. Each of the teams that completed different phases of work were easy to work with and very helpful. The centralized coordinator and project managers were very responsive and focused on ensuring our satisfaction with the results. We're very happy with the overall experience and results.

The Basic Basement company did a fantastic and top notch job finishing our unfinished basement. Gail, the project coordinator, helps to keep everything on track and on schedule. She’s very responsive should you have any questions. Kevin was our onsite project manager and was very responsive to my phone calls and addressed all my concerns. All of the other team members we worked with were definitely very experienced and made sure to complete their job on time and with high quality. The quote I received at the beginning was what I ended up paying so I’m very thankful for that. This is a great company to work with and you won’t be disappointed. Be sure to be thorough with your plans up front and they’ll take care of the rest just as you drew it up.

From start to finish we are very pleased with the Basic Bathroom Company which is part of The Basic Basement Company. We were given an estimate the day the salesman arrived and we paid what the estimate stated. They did not try to increase the cost. We did add a small linen closet to our first bathroom project so we paid an extra amount for that, but otherwise the price was what was quoted. The installer did excellent work, so good in fact, that we requested him for the second bathroom. Everyone was so helpful and punctual and they cleaned up when finished. The responsiveness is outstanding! We now have two beautiful new bathrooms thanks to the great people at The Basic Basement Company! I highly recommend them!

Work started in December 2018 and completed in Feb 2019. Gail has it planned very well. Randy the Project manager overseeing was very knowledgeable helpful and accommodative for our times. Gail took care of scheduling permits and township approval.

From the first phone call to set up the estimate to the final touches being done on our bathroom, this company was Grade A! I always received a prompt response to any questions that I had. Louis was so wonderful; a very hard worked. He was professional in every way. Always came bright and early and put in long days. He was very neat, cleaning up and respectful of our home. I relied on reviews when I was deciding between this company and another one. I am so glad that I chose this one. I am hoping to have my basement done at some point and will not hesitate to hire them again.

Basic Basements were fabulous. Gail the project manager in the office was very responsive and always available to answer questions. The job was done very quickly with each crew (drywall, taping, electrical, etc) coming on time or ahead of schedule. The project managers Bob and Santiago were also always available for questions or explanations. Each and every crew member was courteous, helpful and very pleasant. Gail took care of scheduling each town inspection for us and each one past inspection with no issues. The work was done with exceptional quality, attention to detail and exactly to code. The price was exactly as quoted and we actually added on painting at a very reasonable cost. Would absolutely recommend and would absolutely use them again when needed.

Basic Basements was a pleasure to work with. They were very upfront and clear on pricing as opposed to some other contractors I interviewed. Most others gave me a huge range or best guess or worse they asked me what I wanted to spend. Basic Basements gave me detailed pricing on the first meeting and I hired them on the spot. The work performed was just as good. They were prompt, clean and fast. They took care of all the paperwork with the township and completed the work exactly as they said they would and finished on time. I have already recommended them to neighbors and will continue to recommend in the future.

From the very first phone call to the end of the project Basic Basement was professional, respectful and responsible. They always were on time. I was constantly updated, any questions or information I needed was answered immediately. They communicate with me via email and phone. The estimator was very knowledgeably of all town codes and what was acceptable by the town, I was impressed with his skills. The basement was done on time with attention to impressive detail. Drop cloth was place through out the house to protect my floors. They clean up everything after each part of project was done and took away all garbage off my property. They took the worry out everything, they schedule the town inspectors for each step of the job, making sure that all town codes were been adhered to and submitted the drawings and necessary paperwork for my basement project. I was impressed when the town inspector commended on the workmanship. He knew right away it had to be Basic Basement that was working on my basement. All they material that was used in the project was high quality, they never cut any corners. They were helpful and offered great suggestions. The Quote was broken down and explained in detail. Every nut and screw planned was accounted for. The workers were all great.
