I was very pleased and satisfied with the service from Top Movers. I had a very bad experience in the past with another movers.The other company quoted me a low flat rate price so I thought I was getting a good deal. But once my stuff arrived, they refused to unload it until I paid some hidden charges. So I wasn't excited about having to have my stuff moved out of state again. But my experience with TOP Movers was completely different. The price they quoted me was the price I paid. It cost me around $3,000 to move my 2 bedroom apartment from New Jersey to California. They were on time for pickup and delivery, and the staff was very professional and easy to work with.And i certainly will use their moving services again when needed.

Worst experience ever. My husband had provided them with an accurate list of what we needed to have moved and the estimate was for $1500. The day before the move, my husband was called and told that they added another man because we have a piano, but that the move would go faster. We waited for the truck to arrive at 10:00 am. Eventually, my husband found out by calling that their truck had broken down and they had to rent another. They arrived at 2:30 pm. The movers came in, and their leader assured us that everything would fit in the truck. My husband had moved everything - everything - out of the basement in boxes to the garage except a treadmill. Everything was emptied from two of the bedrooms and only a king size bed (disassembled) and a queen sized bed (disassembled), two headboards and two dressers remained. They had included a large refrigerator and washer/dryer in estimate that we chose not to move. The movers were very slow and lazy. It was a hot day, so I provided cold bottled water and soda. It took 45 minutes for them to tape up my king sized mattress in padding. By about 7:30 they started just standing around in the driveway. Already 5 hours into the process they fiddles and fiddles with stuff, then said that everything wouldn't fit. I asked the head guy what the heck was he going to do, that everything had to be out of the house by 11:00 am the next day. He tried to call a supervisor & this rapidly escalated. I could just leave the stuff. My mother's memorial garden bench, my piano and the part of the treadmill, plus misc other stuff. Leave it! I told him that it was his problem and they'd better get another truck out here to move it. His supervisor, on the phone said he'd do it for another $1100. I was not using nice language here. The cost changed and my husband refused to pay the additional money they had charged for shoddy service (of course a deposit had been made previously). So they drove away with our belongings. We had to rent a UHaul in the morning (my husband is 68 years old with a heart condition) load everything, attend 2 closings and drive and unload the uhaul, leaving our car in Stroudsburg. Meanwhile, we didn't know if we would get our furniture back. They did deliver the furniture. They required $2500 cash to get our furniture, on top of the deposit. We had to pay it. There was an additional charge because their truck didn't get returned until after midnight - the day they were to show up at 10:00. The initial estimate was $1500 for everything and turned into close to $3000 + the stress, cost of a UHaul, etc. It was entirely unprofessional and I will not let this drop until I have a refund of the extra cost from this nasty horrible company.

We had an excellent experience with Bill at Top movers. The whole process from start to finish was exceptional. We are very satisfied with all aspects of our experience from the quote, communication, pick up and packing to delivery. Even though the delivery took a little longer than we expected, the company deserves my 5 star.

very easy stress free move. Even though we we moving from a huge house with very narrow stairs, Jay his team did a great job! They worked so hard and were very nice and professional. They helped me to disassemble my furniture and packed everything very well. i did not see any damages so far. Price was not the cheapest, but I guess you pay for what you get, so no complaints. i'm really happy with the services, Thanks Jay, and everyone else, you made my life easier.

Top movers moved me from my 2 bedroom private house in Connecticut to New Jersey two days ago. Great service! Hard working movers made my life easier. They were very professional, they knew what to do so I could relax and enjoy instead of giving directions. I totally recommend this company! thanks Top movers!

Wonderful experience.This is the 3rd time that I have used Top Movers and each time I have been very happy with their service. These guys are really good at what they do and are also good at being friendly. They packed carefully, handled furniture extremely well and delivered it unharmed. Ana was exceptional to deal with following delivery of our goods. The delivery crew was again organized and hard working. I am extremely pleased with all aspects of the move. Thanks Guys.

The moving truck came late to Forest Hills making the building access difficult due to parked cars. The crew foreman begun immediately tacking extras for the distance, one flight up (with elevator) to the apartment, and $350 for "packaging materials" which amounted to a box of packaging tape and a piece of cardboard. Most items we had already packaged in boxes and the moving blankets were to be free, but the tape to hold the blankets apparently was not included. Unfortunately our boxes were small and the box count exceeded that of the quote although the cubic feet volume remained low - thus another reason to charge extra. The truck arrived in the evening at the next stop in NJ and items were loaded in the dark. Further pressure to hike the costs by the crew foreman Gabriel but in NJ he encountered resistance and a lawyer he agreed to "only" $700 extra. As the moving truck did not arrive on March 28th as promised the company phones went unanswered for several days. The moving load was eventually reported to the police as stolen. Finally they called and delivered on the 8th -- outside the agreement delivery time window. The delivery was made by another company truck and crew, so our items had been moved from one truck to another. Two chairs, a dining table, a platter, and the glass of a framed piece of art were broken resulting in a damage estimate over $2,100. This is company that is very active and helpful in giving deficient quotes and later extort the client as they are under the gun with the moving schedule. Also, they will not even start unloading your things until they got your cash. Just look up their business location in Google street view and you will understand what kind of business this is.
