A1A Movers

I purchased and signed a moving contract with A1A at the end of May 2017 for the moving date of July 15, 2017. I payed a deposit and received a signed contract including pickup address, drop off address, and an inventory of my belongings. I contacted the business on 7/13 to ensure all was on schedule for my pickup. I was told that the dispatch department would contact me 24 hours prior to my pickup time on 7/15. By 5pm on 7/14 I had not received a call, so I called them. The dispatch manager told me that "their truck broke and would not be coming to pick up my stuff and they didn't know when they could reschedule a pickup date" and that there was nothing they could do besides break the contract and refund my money- which I declined. I called back Saturday and spoke to the sales person and she was helpful and connected me with the manager, who told me he would call me Monday by 3pm with details on rescheduling the pickup. By Monday at 3 he had not called me so I tried to contact him, in which case I got the same "dispatch manager" who said she was not going to send a truck to pick up my stuff, that they do not service that far north in NY (they stop at Syracuse- which is 2.5 hours away) and that if they did have to pick up my stuff the business would lose money and they were not going to do that. I told her I was under contract and they had my address all along and she said it didn't matter they were not going to service me. She ended the contract and refunded my money- which is not what I wanted. I was left in Charlotte with all my belongings stuck in NY. The dispatch manager was AWFUL. She was so rude and non compliant. She gave me no options and said that I personally was unable to do anything about this and that I should not contact them again. I asked to speak to my sales person and she refused to allow me to talk to anyone else, and said that the issue was closed and that I will not be able to talk to the sales department
