We moved out of our house to renovate it, and had moved back over two years ago but never gotten around to unpacking or organizing the storage area in our basement. We had some items unpacked (such as the toolbox), but things were difficult to find as there was no system for organization. There were also still a number of moving boxes, which created a bit of an obstacle course in the room. These boxes had been packed up for three years, and I had no idea what was in them. John from Organize and Maintain came to my house and helped me unpack those boxes as well as sort through the items we had (tools, paints, extra tiles, etc.). He made quick work of things and was very efficient. He easily sorted our clutter into logical groupings and used a label maker to create a "home" for each grouping (such as power tools). The system he left us with is easy to follow and easy to maintain, which should prevent us from re-cluttering. He also helped me create "keep" and "toss" piles that I could go through on my own with my husband. Similarly, John took my walk in pantry closet and re-organized it, regrouping some items, shifting some items around on different shelves so they'd be more accessible and also labeling the shelves so everyone in the house can see exactly where things are supposed to go. This is great for my family, as I have three kids who go in and out of the pantry many times a day. We have had a few weeks to get used to the new system and it's working well. John was very easy to work with. He asked thoughtful questions about how my family uses these rooms so he could understand our needs. He was punctual and very professional. He also worked quickly, and we were able to get a lot done in only a few hours. If I had unpacked/organized these rooms on my own I know I would have gotten bogged down in my own clutter - it would have taken twice as long. Both my pantry and my basement storage area look better than they have since we moved in two years ago!
