 + -1 moreThe work was done efficiently and the quality of the work was done well. By finding a way to connect to the internal light switch in my house they avoided doing additional wiring and cutting through the ceiling. So it saved me the effort and the money to repair the ceiling.
Description of Work: Cedric and his assistant repaired my external house lighting. This required redoing the wiring connecting the internal to the external house wiring and attaching to two lamps that are located on two pedestals made of stone. They were able to located the internal house wires and avoided doing a lot of work within the house. Also, they were able to quickly dig a trench from my house, get under my path, find a connection to the lighting under the two pedestals made of stone. The wiring has been working well for over a year.

We set up a time/day and he arrived promptly. He figured out the problems we pointed out quickly and competently. He gave us a little more time than what we had pre-purchased. I will hire him again the next time we need electrical work done.

Description of Work: Mr. Pritchett arrived 30 minutes late but came in introduced himself and apologized for the scheduling mixup he then went upstairs to my daughters room and laid down protective covering over her bed then the floor he went and got his ladder then he turn off the electricity to the old ceiling fan after taking it apart and down he then put up a brand new smaller ceiling fan, after installing the fan he tested the fan to make sure it worked. after that he went to my kitchen where i went to the basement to the curcuit breaker so that i could turn off the electricity to wall sockets after that he replaced five old ones with five brand new ones that i had purchased from homedepot apon competion of that we went downstairs to my basement bathroom he replaced a wall socket after that he tested everything to make sure they worked he cleaned up any mess that was made thanked me for my business and left for another job

 + -1 moreI used Cedric previously to replace several other outlets and switches in the house before and decided to use him again when sparks were flying from the outlets by the washer and dryer. He said he would come after he finished another job. He came as promised and replaced the two outlets and also replaced two outlets in the kitchen which just stopped working that day.I will definitely be using Cedric again. He is always pleasant and always explains everything he is going to do.We are already discussing our next project.

 + -1 moreHorrible. I did NOT like Mr. Prichetts attitude. He felt like it was not big deal that he had me waiting for him and that my time is less valuable than his. I waited for him on two occassions and had to contact him both times to remind him that he had an appointment. I suggest he hire a Secretary or office manager to to keep his schedule and remind him of his appontment. No referral from me!! I would like a refund as Mr. Pritchard did not fulfill his obligation to provide 2 hours of electrical work.
Description of Work: I too joined the others in soliciting the Big Deal and was totally dissatisfied. I contact Mr. Pritchett and made an appointment for April 28, 2012 at 9:00 AM. I waited and waited. Finally I sent him an e-mail and asked was there a problem. He rsoponded that he would be in JC around 1:00. However, it wasn't until he showed up that I realized he was coming as I hadn't seen his e-mail. I asked him why he hadn't called to advise me that he would be late. I told him that I wasn't happy that he hadn't called to confirm that I would be home. Nonetheless, I told him that I wanted a security camera system installed . He said he would not be able to install that day and we decided that he would return on May 19th at 9:00 AM. Again, he did not show or call. I sent him another e-mail criticizing him for not calling. I have yet to hear from him.

Called to make an appointment, left a message, and the call was returned the same day with an appointment date, which I was asked to confirm by e-mail which I did. He arrived when he said he would, and was pleasant. He did a great job for a small price with no complaints, cleaned up the residue on my siding from the previous fixture, and was nice to deal with. The extra $15 was only for the outlets and collar he replaced from his supplies. We are senior citizens who know nothing about electricity and could have been induced to go for additional work that might not be necessary, but we were not. I have already given his name to a neighbor and would certainly use him again if he would come from Jersey City to Fair Lawn. I was very surprised by the negative reviews, as that was far from our experience.
Description of Work: Replaced front entry fixture provided by me, Replaced an odd outlet/light combination fixture in garage, replaced outlet in kidchen and outlet in powder room.

 + -1 moreMy experience - do not sign up for Big Deals unless you are really prepared to fight for it.. I was not. I was assuming that it's something that would not require any additional effort - I thought of just contacting the provider, setting the date right away and that's it.
Description of Work: So called "Big deal" was not apparently honored and not valued by the provider. Contacted the provider several times. Responses come with several days delay. After trying to communicate in such manner I gave up, deciding that it's not worth. $100 is not much to figure that Angie's 'Big Deal' is not something to be considered.

 + 0 moreI called and emailed the company to set up my appointment on March 21st. We made the appointment for today, 4/5, and I told him where I lived. At 2:30pm I started wondering where he was and when he would show up, so I called him. He said he wasn't coming because my house was too far away. I don't know if he was ever planning on letting me know that he wasn't going to come. My house is in the county stated in the deal, so I don't know why he decided it was too far. I would not recommend him.
Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal with this company. I was planning on having them install an electrical outlet and fix 2 lights which haven't been working.

 + -1 moreGetting the work done was the most difficult problem. The professionalism was definitely lacking. I was asked several times to send reminder emails about our appointments (that is not my job). Ultimately the problem was diagnosed and repaired. Although it took two visits because he did not have his co-worker on the first appointment so he had to come back another day. From what I can tell the work was fine. However, the additional expenses over the $99 deal added up quickly. All in all though, the problem is fixed and the price still seems pretty reasonable. I'm not sure if I actually would work with this vendor again. If not, it would mainly come down to the professionalism.

 + -1 moreAfter the job was completed, Cedric charged my wife $75 for "parts". He did not provide us any itemization for the charge. I called him and requested a breakdown, and he provided it to me via email. As I thought, he overcharged us by $20. He said he would refund this by check, but no check arrived. I contacted him one month later asking for our refund, and he never replied to my email or sent the refund. This was a very unprofessional experience, so I would not recommend him to anyone.
Description of Work: Cedric installed an outdoor GFCI outlet with cover. It was a simple job and he did it quickly and well with the help of another worker.

 + -1 moreTried several times to make an appointment and individual kept asking me to call him or sent him an e-mail to his Google e-mail account to see if he can be available for work. He finally showed up late. I spent $199 and took a day off from work for him to show up in the morning. He did not show up until 7PM that day. Never call me to tell me that he had an emergency or anything. I keep losing power intermittently on two rooms and the kitchen. He checked the Electrical Panel and said I need to upgrade to a larger panel. That work will cost me around $1,500. Eventually he left and asked me to call him back to see if he is available. I decided not to call him so I don’t have e-mail him or call to see if he is going to show up. As far as I can tell he does not have a daily work schedule. So my experience was very negative.
Description of Work: II have an intermittent electrical problem that affects my kitchen, master bedroom, and a small room next to the master bedroom. Electrical contractor came and started to remove every plate cover on every room affected to see if he could find the problem. No problem was found. He then proceeded to check the electrical breaker box and advice me to upgrade my box. The cost of the upgrade will be $1500. The replaced the cover and said he had to go but to call him again and see if he had an open slot to stopped by and run a new line to the rooms affected. I decided not to call doe to his lack of professionalism.
