Extraordinary service. Mike called me back within two hours and was punctional to within 5 minutes of his appointment time. He and his assistant explained what needed to be done and quoted a price for the job -- the price that I paid, there were no extra charges. Great service. Mike and his assistant even wore surgical booties to keep dirt out of the house. I'd use them again in a minute.

Mike came at the time he said he would. He and his helper were very nice and professional. He explained everything to me as he did the worked. Worked without taking a break Did a very good job. Cleaned up everything. Gave me a good discount. He is my guy from now on. Will recomend him to others

It turns out they didn't need shut off valves so he didn't charge me a thing. I would highly recommend him for his honesty, professionalism. I called on another occassion because my heating went out. He said that he could come out at the end of the day. I called back after noticing that the coldness in my home was starting to affect my fish and he came over his lunch break instead. He is great about answering his phone when you call and not making you play phone tag.

This is the second time I've used Mike. Both times, he was punctual, professional and personable. On the job, he does good work and makes sure to clean up after himself. He also takes time to explain what he is doing and has no problem answering questions. He's a friendly, people person, which isn't always the case when hiring people to do work in your home. I plan to use Mike as my "go-to" plumber for future repairs/problems.

I thank God for Angie's List, because it is where I found Mike's Plumbing and Heating. A short while ago I had to get some basic plumbing work done, and I found Mike on Angie's List. He came, did the work and was so professional, amiable and unflappable that I vowed I would make him my plumber of choice. So when my boiler went on the fritz and needed to be replaced, I called Mike. He provided two written estimates that gave me two different options. Both estimates were priced very reasonably. He scheduled the installation as quickly as we could get it into both of our schedules. When I just in passing joked that I hoped he weather would stay warm, he told me that if I had to turn on the heating system and it wouldn't shut off to just call him and he would come shut it off for me. (Fortunately, the weather stayed warm but I have no doubt that he would have followed through on his promise.) On the day of the installation, he arrived right on time with his helper. The two of them got to work right away and handled everything beautifully. They worked extremely hard all day ... and into the evening. An electrician joined them later in the day. They worked efficiently but they did not rush. I was 100 percent confident that they were doing what they felt was necessary to do an excellent job. The resulting installation was gorgeous (can you say that about a boiler and hot water heater?). Mike walked me through how the system operates. And he and his helper cleaned up and removed all the old equipment, the packing materials for the new system, etc. (The basement was cleaner when they were done than it was when they arrived!) Something I really appreciate is that Mike put a lot of thought into the positioning of the boiler and the hot water tank. He located them in such a way that they take up the minimum amount of space that they need AND that the space I have around them is now more usable for me. That extra thought and effort is much appreciated! What you get with Mike is someone who clearly enjoys his work, who takes pride in doing an excellent job and who puts consideration into the aesthetics as well as the mechanics of what he is doing. One other thing to know about Mike: He seems to be unfazed by anything. He stays cool, calm and professional throughout. Occasionally, I could overhear him talking with his helper. His helper would ask a question and Mike would answer in such a patient and helpful tone, it was amazing. I enthusiastically recommend Mike for any and all plumbing services! He is a gem!

Went very well. Arrived in time promised, covered shoes to protect carpet, cleaned up when finished.

Mike came by to give me an estimate for installing a sump pump. At this time he described where the piping would go, how much it would cost and when he could install it. He provided a written estimate, unlike the other two people I called (not through Angie's List). The job included jack hammering a concrete floor. Mike did the work himself. He was prompt, not too early as I requested. He worked steadily with a 1/2hour lunch break and completed the job as promised in one day. He tidied up after himself. I haven't had a chance to test it out yet because it hasn't rained, if it doesn't work, I'll add information. If I don't add anything, then this review stands. Good job all around and he is a nice pleasant young man. I'm very pleased.

Had the occasion to call on Mile's Plumbing & Heating for a clogged drain. From a previous service call I knew what to expect. He arrived right on time & was his usual friendly professional self. He quickly diagnosed & took care of the problem without any issues. ....on top of that he gave us a 15% Angie's List discount!! I highly recommend Mike for any plumbing or heating needs.

Started by emailing him through Angie's list. He responded quickly and we scheduled a time for him to come and supply and estimate for the work. He was throrough with his examination and made me feel comfortable with his work and estimate. He took time to analyze the project and see if a quick fix was possible vs. an full job. Kudo's to him for trying. At the end, he was professional in his discussion about the problem and answered my questions properly. Supplied an estimate to me and we're comparing it to others to see which route to take. I feel good about him and using him through Angie's list.

Mike was a pleasure to deal with from first to last. My water heater had begun to leak about a week or two beforehand. I'd had another plumber over for another reason and asked him for an estimate. He totally forgot to get back to me. So by the time the leak started getting bad, I really needed him to come right away. But then he was backed up with other calls because we'd just had that freak October snowstorm. So I was desperate, putting pans under my water heater and wet-vacuuming every hour or two. I called Mike at 7:15 in the morning and he got back to me within 10 minutes. He said he could be there that afternoon. I was happy to hear that, but I didn't expect a good price for such immediate service nor that he'd be able to tell me the price up front. I was expecting, "Well, we'll have to see what it looks like, what kind of changes to the pipes and vents we need." But no. Mike gave me a price immediately. And it was really reasonable (I'd just put a water heater in my rental property 9 months ago. Also a friend of mine needed a new water heater and was getting these ridiculous quotes from plumbers who were trying to gouge her in this time of high demand, $300 to $500 more than I paid!). Luckily my wife was able to stay home and Mike came and did the job quickly and neatly. He got the old unit out, put the new unit in, and while I wasn't there, my wife said he was very professional, personable, and helpful. He volunteered to show her how to drain our steam boiler, something I'd known we should do but had forgotten about. And the bill was exactly what he'd said it would be. P. S. I just called him this past Saturday when I was trying to install a faucet and was having trouble. I wanted him to come finish it for me. He said he would call on Monday, but also gave me a tip that actually helped me finish the job myself.

Mike came promptly to give me an estimate on repairing the stoppers in my two bathroom sinks. He also spoke to me about what replacing my kitchen sink would entail regarding both materials and labor. He wound up adjusting the two stoppers and also checked the stopper in my bathtub. I needed to see how the adjustment worked and told him I would let him know in case he needed to advise me on what parts to get. He claimed he really didn't do much and refused any money at this time. Good business man! Extremely courteous. Would I use him again. Yup! Would I recommend him? Already did.

Shower drain was leaking , damaging the ceiling of the first floor. It was impossible to replace it from the shower base without removing the base, so it was replaced using access from both ends - from shower base and from below after I removed a piece of damaged ceiling drywall. Diligent, neat work.

Mike came over and looked at the pipe and told us he could do it in two days after he was able to get all the parts. Two days later he came back and replaced all the pipes in the wall in a couple of hours. and he did it for half the price and in less time of two other plumbers I called. He was very courteous and even showed us the old pipe and where the hole was. I will definitely be calling him again.

My kitchen faucet was leaking and needed repair. Mike responded by mobile phone with same day service. He advised my to contact the manufacturer for a replacement faucet. I contacted a Kohler representative and explained the problem I was having with my nine-year old kitchen faucet. The friendly representative sent a replacement faucet via Fed Ex free-of-charge. I notified Mike when the faucet arrived. He removed the old faucet and replaced with the new one. He also discovered a crack in the elbow pipe beneath the sink. He replaced the pipe for only $60.00. The complete job came to $188.65. Mike is the best plumber I have ever experienced. He is friendly, skilled, and very reasonably priced. My advice: if you own a Kohler faucet, save the model number and contact Kohler. They will send a free replacement and be sure to call Mike for all you plumbing needs.

Mike was very responsive and professional. He came out, gave us an estimate for installing a new sump pump, and did the work quickly and efficiently. He was friendly and helpful.

When I first contacted Mike he gave me a Friday appointment but I did not give him the go ahead. When I called to confirm, that time slot had been filled.He had a cancellation on Wednesday and we made a 1:00 p.m. appointment. On Wednesday Mike showed up at his appointed time. He immediately went to work and noticed that the toilet bowl, which I had purchased at Home Depot was missing the wax ring bolts, tank to bowl gasket,and bolts. This required me to go to Home Depot to get the missing parts.Fortunately he was able to work on the sink while I was gone and no time was lost. He completed the work and left the bathroom in spotless condition.

Extremely well. Called about 9 AM. FRIDAY Mike answered. I described problem. Since I was leaving for work we arranged for him to come at 6:30 PM. He arrived promptly at 6:30. We chatted. He is very polite and courteous.Made me feel completely at ease. Equipment was brought in and he began the process of clearing the main line. While he was working,my son called and Mike was gracious enough to talk to him about the problem. I know my son hung up feeling I was in good hands.

Mike came in, diagnosed the problem correctly and, with a fair amount of elbow grease, got us the solution we needed -- a gas stove that fits properly into its place. He was very responsive to our call and request, flexible in his timing and very reasonable in what he charged us. There are many service providers who claim to be this, but turn out to be posers. Mike is the real deal. He made some long-term customers today.
