+ -1 moreWe found him on Angie’s List. He was very well recommended, and he did a great job. The guys were very good and fantastic. We got some really crazy expensive quotes, and we were looking for somebody within the middle range. His quote was the most reasonable. We knew that the work would be a little more on the expensive side, so we actually ended up paying $750 for the two jobs. He did such a fabulous job that he was so professional. He gave us a quote, was very nice to speak to and came on time. We were very happy with him.
Description of Work: We used a plumber called Peace of Mind Plumbing & Heating. He did two jobs in our home. One was replacing a water pressure safety valve. We had an issue with one of the garden faucets going in under the basement and coming up on the side of the wall. He took care of that.

Called Peace of Mind and they came the next day gave me a diagnosis and estimate to fix the problem and fixed the problem the same day. They are very polite, super neat, and great explaining the issue. Would definitely use them again, especially when I get bathroom remodel.

+ 0 moreOur toilet clogged to the point that we were unable to clear it ourselves (after several failed attempts). I called Mike the following morning, left a message, and he called me back right away. He was able to come that afternoon and cleared the blockage and observed that the fill-valve was not operating correctly and replaced that as well. Overall the experience could not be better. Mike covered his shoes without asking, came on time and was extremely professional. We would use him again in a heartbeat.

Mike not only shows up, he is punctual, respectful, professional, personable, and an excellent plumber!When a tub drain assembly unexpectedly had to be replaced during his visit, he had a choice of parts with him in his well stocked van, and he stayed late to do the repair on the spot.Whenever he and his helper enter the house, no matter how many times they go in and out, they put disposable protectors over their shoes to keep from tracking in dirt. That action represents his work ethic.I have called Peace of Mind back for a second repair, and I plan to use him for years to come.

On the day of the appointment Mike called me in advance of the scheduled time and asked to come one hour early which was even more convenient for me. Mike and his partner showed up as promised and they were very courteous and professional. They evaluated my problems, offered and explained different option I could choose from, and provided an estimate. The job was done professionally and within the time frame promised.

Description of Work: Mike is AWESOME!!! He's professional, punctuate, and friendly. His price is also very reasonable. Unlike other plumbers I have used in the past that just rushed in and out, he and his partner actally took their time to look at our problems and explained everything clearly. We live in a side-by-side condominium and dicovered that we had water leaking in our basement and damaged the wall and the carpet. We contacted Mike and he showed up within half an hour. He and his partner went down to the basement to look at the problem and did several tests to see what might be the cause, whether it's the leaky sewer pipe or it's water coming from the ground. They cut the wall by the sewer pipe and ran several tests but nothing seems to be leaking out from our pipe. Then they noticed my nighbor's ground was wet and has a pipe on their side as well. They then went over to my neighbor's side to look at their basement. They discovered that my neighbors have water leaking into their basement as well. As we were discussing the problem, we spoke about the possibility of going through the insurace. Mike then told us to contact this other guy (who's also very professional in this field) whom he works with that deals with the insurance company that can better assist us. Even though Mike did not fix the problem for us yet, he did gave us lots of valuable suggestions and recommendations. Mike's extremely helpful and we would definitely contact him in the future if we ever need any plumbing repairs.

+ 0 moreThe Plumber was very professional yet friendly. He and his assistant covered their shoes when they came in and worked in a very neat and clean manner. He took the time to explain what he was doing and didn't mind being watched or if I had a question. As first time homeowners, I don't know if this is considered expensive, but we were very satisfied with the work done.
Description of Work: For $300 we had the shower snaked, a toilet snaked and unclogged, two sink drain stops that needed to be reattached, a bath drain pull fixed, a shower head replaced and a pre filter changed for a whole home filter system .

+ -1 moreEverything went extremely well and would absolutely recommend them to anyone requiring Plumbing services. They were very friendly and professional and we also sincerely appreciated they took time to clearly explain all the work being done and why certain parts (rubber versus plastic tubing for example) are used. When I inquired about replacing the water filter that the line was connected to, he walked me through the steps to disconnect on my own and save money. A few days later I purchased a replacement part and was having difficulty removing the old filter & called them for guidance. Mike actually offered to come by the very next day and installed the new filter for us, which he wound up doing free of charge! Needless to say our entire experience with Piece of Mind Plumbing was excellent and will certainly make sure to use them for any future plumbing needs.
Description of Work: We needed to have a water line installed from under the kitchen sink to the refrigerator in order to use the ice maker & water dispenser. In addition, the 2 shower nozzles in our bathrooms were jamming and thus needed replacing.

+ -1 moreMchael and his asst came in and I told him I had a slow flush in the toilet. I told him I was worried it was the main due to old tree roots. He checked the toilet and said its just the toilet or your other drains would be backing up and there would be a world of problems if that was the case. Anyway they went to the bathroom with a snake and out comes a baby wipe...He also checked the basement just in case and evaluated the pipes down there and I don't have anything to worry about.
Description of Work: Toilet was a slow flush and I was paranoid that the main had roots or something in there. I told him I might like to put a camera down there. Michael decided it had nothing to do with that and continued onto the toilet and found baby wipes down there.PHEWW...He is very thorough looking in the basement at the pipes and even my heating system and told me all good stuff there. I would certainly use him again. Prompt, thorough and personable and most of all reasonable price. Thanks Michael for taking of the problem.

+ 0 moreWhen I first called up Mike from Peace of Mind Plmbing I left a message. He was very prompt and returned my call within a half an hour. We then set up an appointment that week for him to come to the house to give me an estimate. Once we agreed on the estimate and the work to be done we made a follow up appointment to do the work. Mike said he would be at the house by 9:00 to start the work. He was there with his assistant promptly at 9:00. The work was finished by 1:30 and Mike took his time walking me through the repairs and patiently answered all the the annoying questions I had for him. Mike was also nice enough to fix a few minor things when he first came to give me an estimate. He was gracious and professional through the whole process and I would definitely call him back for future wrork.
Description of Work: 1. Repaired leak and lowered the water line to outside faucet in back of house. 2. Installed new sump pump drain with PVC penetrating through cement wall to outside. Installed check valve on sump pump. 3. Replaced the outside faucet in the front of the house with frost free faucet and regular faucet.

+ -1 moreMike responded to my call that very same day that I called and made an appointment with me that following monday for an estimate. That Monday he called my cell to let me know he was on his way and was actually running ahead of time. Mike was very informative and patient when explaining what had happen and I never felt pressure to make a decision right then and there. He went the extra step and blocked out the time I wanted the work to be done even when I had not given him a decision. He told me he would hold it until the end of the day, where I would have a chance to speak with my husband. They came right on scheduled that wednesday and although the job turned out to be more of a headach than I believe he originally projected, not once did he let on or complain. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: My drain and stopper (my word for the lever you use to close the drain) needed to be replaced. Everytime I closed that stopper and the water would rise and reach the lever, water would drip down to my living room ceiling. Mike recommended that I replace the drain as well as the lever since it was a kit. what made the job a bit more complicated was that I had lead pipes

Gave me a written estimate that was exactly the price paid at end of service. I received 3 estimates and his was the lowest. Service day came and he showed up within time estimated. Work was completed on time. I am very satisfied with his work.They wore shoe covers during the job and cleaned up after the job completed. He obviously cares about his customers and the job he does. It shows by his good spirit and warmness towards his customers.
Description of Work: In shower stall, replaced 2 knob system with single knob. Done to repair leak and upgrade original plumbing.Also ran water hose to my refrigerator from basement water supply line (included in total cost spent).

+ -1 moreWhen I called and left a message on Monday, I got a call back that day! Once we discussed what I needed he called me back later that day to make an appointment for Wednesday. Well, they not only came as promised, they were early! But I got a call ahead of time to see if that would be ok with my schedule. When they arrived, they explained what they wer going to do and the price and once I agreed they got right to work. Two hours, start to finish and not a leak in sight!!!!! I would recommend them and use the again.
Description of Work: We needed a new faucet and drain on our slop sink in the basement. It doesn't sound like much but consider it is as old as the house and an old cement double sink. You have to be very careful not to crack it while working on it! We also needed a water shut off valve for the pipes leading to the outside water spicket.

+ -1 moreMy best friend found Mike on Angie's list and had him do some work for her. She was so pleased that she recommended I have Mike do the plumbing work I required. Mike gave me an estimate for the installation of plumbing fixtures I had purchased as well as the repair of a bathroom faucet and outside faucets. Mike suggested that I relocate one outside faucet to a more convenient spot and also suggested that I consider a frost free faucet. Mike was very prompt about coming to give me the estimate. He and his assistant, Jordan, were prompt on the day they scheduled the work for. They were very careful not to track in any dirt. They did a thorough and efficient job. As luck would have it, my kitchen sink backed up the night before they were coming to do the work. When I told them about the backup, they tried to snake the line, but it wouldn't clear. Mike explained that he could get his larger snake to clear the line or he could change the pipes in my basement. He explained that the snake only clears a small opening and that over the years everything clings to the sides of the pipes.Since I have had problems in the past with the drains backing up, I opted to have Mike replace the pipes. He showed me how the old pipe was totally clogged. They stayed until 8 PM to finish the pipes for me. I can honestly say that I had "peace of mind" regarding my plumbing when they left.
Description of Work: Peace of Mind installed a new kitchen sink, faucet, & water filter which I supplied. They also installed a new Toto toilet and disposed of the old toilet and they repaired the bathroom faucet, replaced one outside faucet and relocated another outside faucet. An unplanned job of replacing about 38 feet of drain piping in the basement was also done on the same day.

+ -1 moreMike is the best plumber I ever had! He was quick to respond (even on a weekend). We called Friday afternoon on a holiday weekend, and he called Saturday morning. He told us he wouldn't be able to come until Friday and maybe we should get someone else. He was very apologetic. After we called several other plumbers who either didn't respond, were rude, or said they didn't want the job, we called Mike back and asked him if he was still available for Friday. He said yes and was here exactly on time. He and his employee were friendly, efficient, and very professional. I highly recommend them and will never call anyone else! Thanks, Mike for a wonderful job!!
