Vitacco Tile was able to strike the right balance between contracting/project management and professional craftmanship. They were able to go through realistic budgeting and pricing, and professionally manage the contracting and permit process. In particular, we were very happy about the attention to detail for the work done to install the tile. We found the pricing to be in line with competitors and as the scope changed, they were fair about pricing along the way. We would hire them again.

Because we have an older home we anticipated some surprises. They were dealt with in a professional manner and didn't prevent the project from being completed within the time frame discussed. The vendors John recommended were knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. John and Scott were careful to keep the demo and construction dust to a minimum, and did a great job cleaning up. John kept us apprised of what would be happening each day, was always willing to answer our questions and offer suggestions. We are extremely happy with our remodeled bathroom. The tile work is beautiful! I would definitely recommend Vitacco Tile.

Came to see job quickly. estimate time fair. we accepted the bid and never heard from him. We called and emailed several times and he never responded. After a not so nice email he finally responded that he was away on a family emergency and could not do the job.

John Vitacco and Scott are craftsman who completed the Tiling Job on time and without any additional charges. They professionally installed tile in my kitchen, Front Door Entry Way and a Powder Room. The Result is Terrific!

This provider took 2 weeks to respond. I was not able to meet or get quote.

They did a great job of matching and replacing tile. they recaulked and grouted shower enclosure walls. They removed debris and completed the job as promised.

The renovation went extremely well. John and Scott are a fabulous team and they are both excellent craftsmen. John is an absolute artist when it comes to tile work. He took my ideas and wish list and took it up a notch or two. His vision and creativity are unmatched. I am absolutely thrilled with the results. John paid attention to every little detail and even came up with an amazing radiator cover to hide my old radiator, definitely a bonus! He is so talented and such a perfectionist. I can't say enough about the quality of his work. At every place I shopped for tile, fixtures, shower doors, I told them I was working with John Vitacco. Every one of them said that I am working with the best tile man in Bergen County. I heard nothing but praise for John's talent and vision. I am already saving up to bring John back to do my other bathroom!

John and Scott were two of the best contractors we have ever used, and John is an artist with tile. They were careful during demolition and construction to keep dust to a minimum within the confines of the bathroom and always cleaned up prior to leaving each day. John provided a good list of vendors for all of the materials, and I had a ball picking things out. John had excellent suggestions and he and Scott kept the job on schedule. Their costs were reasonable and there were no extra surprises. They work carefully and skillfully and now our remodeled bathroom is the most beautiful room in the whole house . Highly recommend them to all.

John and his helper Scott were always on time and kept as best they could to the timeline defined upfront. As with any project in an older house there may be a few surprises , but John was able to keep things in scope and work with the needed unexpected changes if they arose. They were meticulous in keeping the work area and rest of the house clean , communicated clearly each day what was going on and brought in professional resources for some sub contractor content. Just as important - they were animal friendly which is key when you are having work done and need to be concerned about strangers and keeping track of pets. I would highly recommend John to anyone wanting a trustworthy, reliable and talented contractor. Everyone who sees my new bathroom comments on the beauty - even the building inspectors !

Our house is very old (100+) and has not been well maintained. The project entailed a total gut and redo of one of the bathrooms. I got a couple quotes from other contractors but went w/ Vitacco because John would be doing the work himself rather than subbing it out. John's proposal was fair and we felt comfortable w/ him from the start. Because the room was in such disrepair, we had to demo down to the studs, rebuild the sub-floor, put in some new plumbing, rework the electrical, level the floor, etc. The tile work really makes the space. They transformed a dark, dreary, rundown depressing space into a new beautiful, bright, welcoming and fully functional space. We are very happy with the work and love our new bathroom! John and his team were great through out the project. They were prompt, thorough, professional and very personable and easy to work with. If I had question, John was always responsive. Easily accessible by phone or email. I highly recommend Vitacco Tile. They're a great team and we fully intend to use them again. In fact, we're already discussing a new project!

John did a great job on our bathroom remodel. All work was done in a timely manner and according to schedule. Our new bathroom looks great. His price was fair. He was very easy to work with, and was easy to reach via text or phone when we had questions. We would definitely use him again for future work. Highly recommended.

Three never renovated bathrooms were gutted. John and his specialists completed extensive tile work in the showers and on the walls and floors. He put up new walls (sheet rock), and installed new pipes, sinks, toilets, showers, tubs, lights, fans, etc. EVERYTHING went smoothly and was completed in a timely manner. We were all thrilled with the final product.

John took all my information on the first call and we were going to set something up when he got back to the office. Unfortunately he broke his ankle but was very professional and let me know that he was injured and could not quote or do the work. If/when I need tile work in the future I will reach out to John again.

I called 10 days ago and left them a message. I was interested in getting tile work done in my kitchen. They never returned my call.

Very nice guy and responsive. However, his estimate was exactly double the cost of the other 2 we got and for the same work.I let him know that but didn't hear back from him.

I checked Angie's list before deciding to call John, he came and measured the room and we sat down to discuss what I wanted, how long it might take to complete the job, and he gave me a list of places where I could find tile, bathtub, etc. John came to start the work on the day he said he would and the whole time line was totally correct. The work was superbly done, all of the work passed inspection with no problems and I am delighted with the finished product. John and Scott went above and beyond what anyone could expect to help me pul together the medicine, cabinet, light fixture, etc. and did it all very graciously and with a smile. Bathroom renovations can be horriblly messy and disruptive but these two gentlemen made it as easy as they could for all concerned. I highly recommend John for any project in the home not only for the wonderful work he does but also for the manner in which he does it.

The job went smoothly and quickly from start to finish. We contacted John in early December about having our kitchen floor tiled. He came and gave us an estimate, and told us he would have a little time before Christmas to squeeze us in if we could get tile by then. We were able to choose and get the tile in time for the start date. John and Scott came and completed the job in 3 days. They were very pleasant and professional. Thanks for a great job.

We found John through Angie's list. As it turns out, he also was known to a friend of ours. John replied very quickly to our initial inquiry. We had contacted other contractors, and his estimate was quite reasonable. This probably was not the easiest job, since this was an older bathroom, and we were converting to a 5' tub from a 5.5', which necessitated bumping out a wall in the bathtub area to accommodate the 6" loss. John handled it without a problem. Throughout the process, John was very responsive to any of our phone calls or email messages. Both he and his co-worker, Scott, were professional and courteous. John takes great pride in his work, and this was evidenced by his meticulous attention to detail. There are times when you visualize a project, only to have the outcome turn out to be something less than you had envisioned. This was not one of those times. John's craftsmanship turned our idea into a very satisfying reality. The finished bathroom was even more beautiful than we had imagined. I would not hesitate to call on John again for any other remodeling needs we might have. I highly recommend him.

We received three estimates, and although Vitacco Tile's number was in the middle we went with them because John Vitacco's personality, knowledge, and confidence in his work won us over. He offered us great ideas, and an array of sample tiles, and was open to our ideas and questions too. John and his team handled everything from start to finish. A++
