Overall service went well.

I thought Tom did excellent and was very reasonably priced. We would defintely use him again for any tiling work in our home.

They were fine. They said they only do the tile and they would hire a contractor. It wasn't something that we were comfortable with.

During the estimate meeting we reviewed the estimate, the materials needed, the tentative schedule and how long the job would take. The tile had a stainless steel component and he even took a sheet with him to confirm he could use his tools on the materials. Within a few weeks of the estimate Tom completed the job in a day, even having to run out to the local hardware store for only 2 more sheets of the material. Tom was responsive, timely and worked quickly and neatly.

It was a pleasure dealing with this contractor. Professional, punctual, and best of all an experience tiler who does a high quality job. I always dealt with Tom, the owner. Phone calls were always returned in a timely manner. He is a very organized, and neat worker. For my situation he had to do all his tile cutting in a small hallway right outside the bathroom. He left area area spotless. he completed the job in about 8 hours, over a two day period. One day to lay the tile, one day to grout and install the toilet. I would highly recommend Degan tile to a friend. I found him by a recommendation from a friend at work.

Tom was professional from the start. We had picked out a combination of tiles and planned on installing them ourselves. After a long period of debate we called Tom and he came to our rescue. Tom not only installed the Tile in a timely manner , he also helped us with suggestions of granite for our bench seat and matching corner dishes . Tom was always prompt and did exactly what he said he would do . Tom finished up our difficult project and left my wife and I admiring his work ( he is truly an artist). We highly recommend using Tom for your Tile, Bathroom or Similar projects.

They have not performed any work, but I plan on hiring them once I pick out which tile to use.

Degen Tile did a great job for a good price. I would definitely use them again. Very professional, skilled and neat. It was a complicated job and it came out great.

not happy with prize and explanation of work

EXCELLENT Tom was easy to setup an estimate with and easy to schedule to have the work performed. Tom arrived on time to give us his estimate. He also supplied a list of quality tile shops in the area for me to pick out the tile I wanted to use. He was very professional with his estimate process. He also estimated the exact amount of tile for us to purchase avoiding us spending extra money for unused tile. Tom showed up on time (10 mins early) to perform the work. He worked hard all day and cleaned up thoroughly went finished. The quality of work is also EXCELLENT. The backsplash looks perfect. I would 110% recommend his services to anyone. From start to finish, Tom did a great job. I only wish all contractors I hire have his integrity and work ethic. I am now spoiled.

Tom Degen owner performed all services, It was great to see someone who takes so much pride in his workmanship. All work was performed in a timely manner and at a fair price, he also performed more work than quoted without an additional charge. We would to thank Angie's List and Degen Tile for a job very well done.

My experience in getting the estimate was excellent. Everything about him was excellent. His promptness to come, his dollar value, his quote and his credentials were all excellent.

The guy who came out was excellent. I have used his services in the past. The price that he charged was good. The quality of his work is really good. He was punctual since he was on dot to get the job done. His professionalism is very good and he talks really loudly. I would definitely use his services again and I would recommend him to anybody. In fact, I am planning on using his services again.

Tom did a very good job recaulking our shower/bathtub. He was very neat even vacuuming up the old caulk with his vacuum. The tub looks great and his price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend him.

If you want the job done right, hire Tom Degen to do it. Not only does the tile look beautiful, but he spent a lot of time and effort to make sure that the foundation for it was solid. He installed an extra layer of plywood in the hall and put about a million screws in the plywood under the kitchen tile so it won't flex or squeak. Had he not done that, the tile still would have looked great when he left, but wouldn't hold up as well. How many contractors put in the time and effort to make sure the part you can't see is done as well as the part you can? He came when he said he would. He finished on schedule even though he had to hire an assistant to remove the old slate from the hall with a jack hammer. He took great care not to damage the appliances he had to move. He carefully covered the carpet in a room he had to pass through to get to the kitchen. During the slate removal, he masked off other rooms to prevent dust from spreading through the rest of the house. Tom is the kind of craftsman you don't often meet these days. Highly recommended.
