Door to Door Storage was founded in 1996, and was the first portable moving and storage company in the market. The idea for portable storage containers was developed as an alternative to the hassle of renting an unreliable truck, and moving precious personal belongings into a rented storage facility. The risk of crime, fire and harsh weather conditions in these facilities makes them unappealing to people looking for storage. In over twelve years of business, Door to Door Storage facilities have never had a break in or fire, allowing customers to be certain that their belongings are safe and secure. Traditional storage centers have break-in rates as high as 33% annually. Door to Door Storage has higher standards for the safety of their containers. Along with having the lowest incident rates in the country, Door to Door Storage is a recent addition to the Better Business Bureau's Accredited Business list.

7 feet tall and 8 feet deep, Our process… Step 1: We deliver containers to your door. Step 2: You pack, and can hold a room to a room-and-a-half of furniture, and lock the containers. Step 3: We pick up your containers and store, condensation and mold., load, or 40-50 medium-sized boxes. The breathable, or deliver them to your new residence. I was particularly happy with their responsiveness. When I signed up for the service, I had a particular contact person that I could talk to or email with all my requests (changing schedule, packing supplies, permits). All the customer service reps I spoke to very knowledgeable, and I never got passed around from rep to rep. Pod delivery and pick-up is pretty seamless. The driver calls 30 minutes before delivery, to make sure you are around. The two drivers I worked with were prompt, worked quickly, and courteous.
Another plus is that you don't have to be physically present for pick-up.
One caveat: Make sure you take into account the additional costs you'll have to pay for, especially if you are parking the pod on an urban street. These may include: city parking permits, barricade rental, and movers/hour.
