Door to Door Storage

I was very happy with the service Door to Door offered, and it suited my needs perfectly. I picked door to door because I didn't want my items to be moved from truck to truck cross-country, so I liked that everything was secure in a pod that I locked myself. I didn't have a permanent address to deliver to, so I needed a flexible month-to-month storage solution. Also, the price was reasonable and I didn't have to deal with any uncertainty of my movers having to weight all my items before they could give me a final price. I was particularly happy with their responsiveness. When I signed up for the service, I had a particular contact person that I could talk to or email with all my requests (changing schedule, packing supplies, permits). All the customer service reps I spoke to very knowledgeable, and I never got passed around from rep to rep. Pod delivery and pick-up is pretty seamless. The driver calls 30 minutes before delivery, to make sure you are around. The two drivers I worked with were prompt, worked quickly, and courteous. Another plus is that you don't have to be physically present for pick-up. One caveat: Make sure you take into account the additional costs you'll have to pay for, especially if you are parking the pod on an urban street. These may include: city parking permits, barricade rental, and movers/hour.

Most of our stuff was in boxes that we fit in the unit. We did not have any problems with the moving or storage.

They were a wonderful company to deal with. I had seen the packing boxes in the street. I called them and it was fantastic to work with them. Their service is very personal. I spoke to two of the people and they were very personal. They answered all my questions very clearly. On a couple of occasions I called them and changed the date. They had no problem with that. They knew the business well. It was seamless. They have a fantastic concept of moving. I had a very big house so I got the storage pods ahead of time and packed a lot of things. Then they came and took the pods away. They brought the pods back when I was ready for them. They charged me a $1 per day to store the pods. That was very good because they picked up the boxes and delivered them back. They provided excellent customer service. I had recommended them to another person and they were thrilled.
