I left a message & John called me promptly. He quoted me the price for a water heater that was equivalent to mine (50 gal/40000 btu). He came a few days later to remove the old one & install the new one. His plumber did a great job making the connections & cleaning up. He also put in new aluminum venting to the chimney.

These guys were a class act, from beginning to end. John Visentin came to do the initial estimate, which came in less than others. He accompanied the workers when they arrived (waiting for me in their truck when I got home, ahead of schedule no less) and went over the job with them. The old black pipe was replaced with more expensive copper pipe, which will never rust or corrode. They added more drains which will help my maintenance in the future, and modified the existing drain to make it easier to use, none of which was contracted or expected. For all this, they came in exactly at the quoted cost. Everyone was clean, efficient and professional. Plus, they were done in less time than previous estimates had expected. Yet another unexpected bonus: weeks after the work was done, I got a call from one of the plumbers. It turned out they had just pulled a defective boiler from another job, and he saved a cover that he remembered had rusted out on mine from a leak that had been repaired. Although I wasn't home, he was even kind enough to drop it off at my back door so I could replace it when I got home. These guys outperformed ANY home contractor I've used in a very, very long time. I'd begun to think that all contractors these days have become uncaring, semi-nefarious hacks. I've been doing whatever work I can on my own, to avoid the disappointment of spending money on work I can do myself. I'll continue doing that, unless it's something Visentin Plumbing and Heating can do. I couldn't be happier with my experience with this job. YOU SHOULD HIRE THESE GUYS TOO!

The job went very well. In the height of this busy winter season, John promptly called me back to schedule my appointment. John arrived on time (actually he was a little early, he called to say he had finished a prior job early and asked if it was ok to come early - this worked out great for me). John was very professional, he did a thorough job - he explained what he was doing. He did not try to make the job seem like it was a huge undertaking to pad the bill. He did the simply performed the job, showed me what valves needed to be replaced. Replaced the valves - serviced the furnace and he was out. I will use Visentin in the future.

Everything works just fine after it was completed. The person who did the work is very capable and easy to work with. We plan to hire them again in the near future.

They got someone over the next day, showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves and problem was fixed. Only bad thing is that I still have no idea what it is going to cost me....

Mr Visentine turned up on time, he had a look round the water heater and said I need a new one as he watched water dripping from underneath it, lol I figured that it needed replacing as I was mopping up water for a few days, the next day he and a co worker came and fitted a new heater, no mess, no fuss. no hard selling as I asked him questions on the best sort to get. I called him in Feb and a few days later he came and serviced my furnace and told me nothing was wrong with it even though it has not been serviced for eight years. I can honestly say I am very impressed with such an honest and easy going professional plumber. I recommend him for your next project.

Moved into a new home and just had a newborn. My wife complained that parts of the house were cold. Called up John and he came out a day later. He was patient and looked over the system to make sure there were no leaks. Found out a valve had been turned off by a previous contractor and the other plumber I had working there never picked up that up. John took his time and removed 95% of the air from my baseboard heating system. Advised me of some issues to take care of after heating season is over. Will call on him for future repairs and his prices are very reasonable.

Eric and Richie came to do the work in our kitchen today. Despite the inclement weather and having to walk through literally 3 feet of snow to turn off the gas outside our home, Richie was still smiling and pleasant. They changed the connection to the stove, hooked it back up and turned the stove on to make sure it was working. All the while both gentlemen were very pleasant. I would definitely recommend using Richie & Eric again.

"The "Big Deal was for installation of a thermostat, and a check of the radiators. In addition, I requested to have the furnace serviced as well. The thermostat installation went well. The furnace service was extensive and thorough, However when I had PSEG service the unit the following year a major problem was discovered. The threads of the 6 inch extension drain pipe installed by Visentin Plumbing (Using something he called "Black Pipe") had corroded within the furnace and was about to break off . Only a millimeter of those threads remained. I'm not sure of the cause, but I suspect it was a reaction between the boiler cleaning chemical that was used at the time of service and the "Black Pipe". The radiator inspection was never done. Honestly, If it had not been for a mistake that could have led to a flooded basement I would have given an excellent rating.

I am so happy with the services performed by Visentin Plumbing and Heating that I immediately logged on to Angie's list to give them a rave review. The service was outstanding....three words decribe John's professionalism; Honest, Reliable and Exceptional...he is definitely one of a kind. He worked with my schedule and explained everything and gave me options...I will be using Visentin Plumbing & Heating for all my heating and plumbing needs in the future and will recommend his services to all my friends and collegues.. The service provided was fine. They came three times. Finally they had to redo everything so it was okay. I just remembered the first time they came, they looked up everything and decided what they're going to do. They tried something small and then it didn't work so they had to come back again second time to redo everything. I think they tried their very best and I will recommend them. Their price is fair and the quality of the service is good.

John (the owner) was on time. I explained the problems I was having. He listened and then examined the boiler and various radiators. We could not determine the exact cause of the problems. John explained that he would have to return to determine the exact problems. He could not specify how long this would take or how much this would cost.

This went very well. Mr. Visentin has a lot of clients, so you have to get on his schedule, and make an appointment. He was very thorough, answered all my questions, and showed me some maintenance issues that were clearly overdue to be taken care of. Price was no bargain, but seemed appropriate considering the scope of the work. All safe and sound for the winter. Thank you John!

There was a general contractor doing a rehab after a fire and the kitchen pipe had to be brought up to code. But the contractor gave me a high price to do this. After additonal walls were opened to expose pipes in the second floor, I requested that the contractors plumber come back to re-assess the situation, but the contractor refused to this. I then called John Vesintin and he came 3 times to assess the situation and wrote an estimate with a much lower price. I was ready to work with John but he suggested that I give my contractor one more chance to send his plumber. John explained that it would be better for continuity of the job to continue on with the original plumber if possible. Subsequently my contractor did agree to send his plumber who did the original work. He did end up bringing it up to code. John was very accommadating and fair to me. I would not hesitate to use his services in the future. I will recommend him to others.

When I first called for service, it was suggested that I call a "rooter" service instead. I did that and was unsatisfied, but it increased my confidence that I needed a regular plumber. Visetin then agreed to come and cleared the drain quickly.

Repairs were done really well once the appointment was scheduled. However, it took a long time to schedule the time for the repairs. There was some delay from my side to get parts and making sure decisions were made but there was also a bit of phone tag. Don't get me wrong. They are very responsive, but they will call you only once in response.

When John the owner originally came to our house to not only give an estimate but guided us through the process for selection of the new heating unit and hot water heater. He arranged to have Lochinvar representative come to the house to go over the layout and help with the overall planning. Once the job had begun, his staff were always professional, neat and punctual. The completed job was done so meticulously. I feel that they worked on my house as if they were working on their own house. I would recommend them highly and would definitely use them for all my plumbing needs in the future.

Even though I did not utilize the vendors services, the responsiveness call back time was withing 30 mins. Especially for plumbing services, I believe this is note worthy. Will definitely utilize them the next time.

Would have enjoyed using this provider and assumed they'd perform work in my neighborhood in Hudson County according to their map - http://visentinplumbingandheatinginc.com/service-area/ - but apparently, Hudson is the one county in North Jersey where they won't perform work. My money clearly isn't good enough for them.

We have used them a few times, we bought a water heater from them and they installed it. Their prices smashed everyone else again. Everything was excellent. They are pretty responsive.

He called the next day and I was told he couldn’t perform the service for a week and that wouldn’t work with my availability.
