Excellent! I am very pleased by how the telephone call went.

I removed the old existing toilet and provided a clean open area for the plumber to install the new toilet. It was the first time I used John, but I could see, from past experience, that he was very knowledgeable, clean and efficient in his approach. Even though, it was a small job and he was not local, he stuck to the lower end of his phone estimate (plus a small discount for my removal of the bowl). Another positive, he returns calls calls, in a timely manner ( a rare commodity these days). I also asked him a question re: not getting hot water in the lines. He went to the basement and showed me the temp. adjuster on the boiler (something I never thought about), corrected it .....no charge. He was very fast and all in all, a pleasant experience.

This summer, we took delivery of a new front loading washer and dryer set at our 74 year old house. The appliances sit in a snug 3/4 enclosed space. The old water valves were frozen open. And the electric high-heat dryer installation instructions specifically forbid reuse of our 29-year-old flexible plastic tube hot air dryer exhaust system -- some 10 feet of 5-inch plastic tube that went up into the ceiling, across to the ceiling space of the next room, turned, and went through a wall to the outside air. This was not a set of tasks for us to undertake. We had previous good experience with Mr. Visentin as a plumber, so we called him, explained our needs, and scheduled a service call. Two of Mr. Visentin's men showed up at the appointment time, shut off the house main water feed, and installed new water faucets and replaced the plastic exhaust tube with flexible metal vent tube. In all, this work, including cleanup, took some three hours to complete. Due to the tight enclosure space in which the washer and dryer sit, the nature of the existing water piping and the complexity of the hot air exhaust venting to the outside air, this work was difficult to accomplish, definitely requiring the talents of professionals. The work was done efficiently and skillfully. We highly recommend Visentin Plumbing & Heating.

John Visentin came to our house on Friday, August 31, 2012 to give us an estimate on converting our Oil heat to Gas. He told us that we would receive a written estimate in the mail, and that we would hear from someone who would remove the oil tank by midweek, the following week. We never heard from anyone about the Oil tank removal and it took two full weeks to get the estimate in the mail. By that time we had already signed a contract with someone else who charged $2,500.00 less for a better boiler. John was not friendly at all and was arrogant. It was actually a blessing in disguise that he did not contact us when he said he would. We were extremely happy with the person we hired to do the job.

I called John to set up the annual pre-winter check of our steam heating system. John showed up exactly on time on the morning that we agreed to. He drained the heating system and checked the valves,switches, emergency shut-off, vent-flap motor & controls, exhaust, etc. He's fast, very neat and extremely professional. I have John Visentin do this each year and he has found issues in other years (a broken starter valve, a breaking drainage valve, etc.). When issues arise, John has been very reasonable and very good at fixing the problem. Professional, fast and painless! After the annual furnace check-up with John, I can relax, knowing that the heating system is good to go & ready for another Winter. I have brought John Visentin in to do this for a number of years now, and he's always exceeded my expectations- great work!

The job was performed with skill and professionalism. They put a tarp on the floor before they began working and removed a part of the sewer line. They replaced it with new PVC. They finished in approximately 2 1/2 hours and cleaned up after themselves. The amount they charged was $65.00 lower than their original estimate. We would definitely call them again for any of our plumbing problems.

Two of the service men came this morning and were done by early afternoon. I couldn't have been more pleased with their work. They were friendly, courteous and right on time. Did not take breaks, (even when we asked them if they wanted some refreshments). They just stuck to the business at hand, and left the place as clean as when they got here. Used tarp to keep the dirt away from the carpets and swept up any loose dirt. John was very open to working a payment schedule with me, as we could not afford to pay all at once.I would highly recommend this company.

We had 3 estimates, only one was not from Angie's list. The other plumber from Angie's list was a very nice person, but we didn't like the solution he offered (braking tiles etc.) As Mr. Visentin was going on vacation (right after he came to give us an estimate) he didn't make us wait till his return and his associate came instead and solved the problem without breaking tiles or anything else by the tub. Several weeks have passed since then and...NO more leaking! They were both very punctual. They return my call right away . Very professional and friendly . He explained everything he was doing. Extremely clean ( I couldn't find even a speck of dust after he left , even though it was a dusty job.) We have found a new plumber. We wouldn't hesitate to call him anytime we need help for plumbing or heating.

I had a problem with filtering well water in the 100 year old home I was renting. The existing filtration system was obsolete and the best recourse was to replace it. John Visentin was prompt in responding to my phone call and arranged for a home visit. I knew nothing about the plumbing in the house (which apparantly was quite unique) but John was able to quickly locate and diagnose the problems that needed remediation. He presented a solution that was viable long term and well suited to the situation. I okayed the work and John proceeded with the installation which was completed in less that a week. I was delighted to have fresh clean water from my tap. After researching other filtration systems, I realized John had provided an excellent product at a competitive price. I was impressed with John's willingness to help me and his professionalism. I have recommended him to several friends and would not hesitate to call on him in the future.

We have had a few problems that were caused unfortanutely by a previous plumber. I had found Visentin on Angie's list and he had corrected all the problems the previous plumber had done and then some. One of the jobs he had done in the past month was to replace a flapper because the toilet kept clogging in this toilet although he noted that the mechanism was not working well. I called in the morning to report that the mechanism had completely failed. i.e. the floater sunk and therefore would not turn off the valve. Visentin, told me that they would get to me during the afternoon or evening but garanteed they would get to me that day. They finally came a 8 PM but were very profesional and apologetic about getting there so late. To their credit, they did say they would be there that evening and did not push back a day even at the late hour. He replaced the mechanism quickly and tested it out. He even noticed some other issues in the bathroom that I had not caught before that needed to be fixed. I would highly recommend them for all plumbing and will be using them for future plumbing

the shutoff had to be replaced and a new line installed. The float unit in the tank had to be replaced.

I called Visentin Plumbing & Heating because my toilet in the basement was over flowing every time it was flushed. I left a message with the answering service and John called me back in a matter of 30 minutes which was very much appreciated. After telling John the issue, he proceeded by guided me through troubleshooting steps to see if I would be able to fix it myself. In a matter of 5 minutes he figured out that the "float" from sewer ejector pump was not working properly. He advised me that I have 2 options. Either replace the malfunctioning float or every time the toilet was flushed just to plug and unplug the pump manually. Since that toilet has been used about 2 time in the past 6 years I opted for the latter. John saved me the $$$ I would have spent on a service call and potentially the $1,000 it would have cost to replace the float. I will definitely use this company for my future plumbing needs.

I called John & left a message that I wanted to get a quote for the work. He called back promptly & made an appointment to come to our house. He came, looked at the required work, took some notes & promised to give us a quote in a few days. He called with the quote & we scheduled the work for a few days later. His plumber showed up on time, replaced the old pump & installed the backup pump. The bill was what I had been quoted & John gave me the senior discount listed on Angie's. His quoted price, before the discount, was the least expensive of the 3 plumbers who came to look at the job. At all times, both John & his plumber were prompt, courteous, very knowledgeable & pleasant. This was the best plumbing experience I've ever had. From now on, Visentin Plumbing is at the top of my list & I highly recommend them.

While in the end we did not use Vesitin, thier man showed up when he said he would, was very professional and friendly, and provided a lot of insight on how to go about performing the work we needed and best methods or practices for approaching several projects in our house. Vestin provided a very competitve estimate for the work we discussed, and I would not hesitate to call lthem for future phases of the work we are doing.

Mr. Visentin returned my phone call personally, and arranged to come out the next day to inspect our issue. He was prompt, polite, and knowledgable. He performed his work quietly and professionally. He fixed our problems quickly and very affordably. He honored the coupon that I had printed off of Angie's List, which brought our bill down even further from an already fair price. I am grateful to Angie's List for this recommendation, as we just moved into the area, and we didn't have a lot of word-of-mouth references to start from. I would definitely use Mr. Visentin's services again, and I recommend him without reservation to others.

The boiler for my steam-heating system stopped boiling. Called Mr. Visentin the next morning and left a message; he returned my call within 30 minutes, set up an emergency appointment for the end of the business day, told me he would call ahead to let me know when he could arrive and did so, and showed up and fixed the boiler swiftly -- not an especially complex fix (cleaned and replaced some parts), but definitely not something I could do myself, and he left the equipment in much better shape than when he got here. Also -- he did not charge a higher/emergency call-out rate.

When I called and left a voicemail, I heard back from John (voicemail) within a few hours but I was not available. When I called him back the next day, he called within 20 minutes. I explained the problem to him, unfortunately he was unable to do this particular job for us. He referred another business that would address our needs. John was very professional and courteous over the phone. Too bad he was unable to assist us.

He calls back when you call him. He comes on time when he says he coming. He is neat and whatever he does is done very well and cleans up beautiful afterwards. If you are not sure which way to go with a repair, he gives you all of the options available. He is advices you if you want advice. He is very professional and extremely pleasant. I called asking for installation of a sump pump for my basement. I asked and received an estimate within one week. It was urgent and the plumber came the day before Hurricane Irene hit New Jersey. He was very prompt and came about 9 am and installed the sump pump in about 90 min. The plumber was very polite and charged exactly what he gave as the estimate. i gave him a tip because he did such an excellent job and was very professional
