Very well. Although John was hard to contact, I was in no hurry. He came on time to give me the estimate, came to pick up the key, and the day he started I went to work and came home. It looked like they had never been there, except that my walls were freshly painted. He left the key where I told him and the place was very clean except for a few things that they forgot to plug back in. He also allowed me to supply the paint, which was very nice since I had already painted several other rooms myself.

I called Brushworks on a Monday. A representative met me at the place on Tuesday evening to provide an estimate. He was also very helpful in color selection. He emailed me their quote the following morning, and we easily worked out the certificate insurance for the building management company. The crew showed up on time on Saturday and were done in less than five hours.

I provided detailed photos and a description of the work that I wanted done to John via e-mail because I was in a bit of a hurry to get it completed, and he was able to provide a quote back to me the next business day. John has an electronic posting method for his quotes, and will send you a hyperlink to your quote. I was satisfied with the quote, and told him on a Tuesday that I would like to work with him if he could meet my tight timing. He wrote back to say he could come the following Monday, and I agreed. He was late to arrive, but it turns out he had sent me an e-mail that morning to say he would be a bit late because he was not feeling well, I just hadn't logged to my e-mail that morning to read it. When John arrived, he brought one of his painters with him, assessed the job, started his painter patching the walls, and then he left. A bit later, three more painters arrived, so we ended up with two men per bathroom spackling, sanding and painting. They were in and out in 3.5 hours. I had to go back to work before the job was finished, so I left my husband with them. He said they cleaned up well, and there was virtually no paint splatters. When I returned home that evening, I noticed two small, but very obvious repair spots that were not patched well, that needed to be fixed. I took photos, and sent them to John via e-mail. He contacted me quickly, apologized, and offered to come back himself at our earliest convenience to make it right. So, we arranged a date and time. John came on time, a few days later and finished the work with additional apologies. Everything is satisfactory now, and in all, it was a good experience.

I telephoned Brushworks Painting and spoke with John Beers (the owner). I told him that we wanted to paint the bedroom, and that we wanted the color to compliment that of the adjoining bathroom. John came over to price the job and discuss color options. We decided to use the same color (but reduced by 50%). The painting crew arrived on time, were courteous, professional and very clean. The job was completed in under 5 hours and it looks great.

John and his crew were excellent from start to finish. Prompt with communication and estimate, very easy to work with. They worked hard and did a great job in one day. They forgot to do 2 small things and John came back the next morning to do them himself and was in and out in 20 minutes. They did excellent work and we are very pleased. They also gave us the lowest estimate out of 5 companies we talked to. We would definitely recommend them and hire them again.

I can't be happier. The guys were all really nice and friendly and they worked really fast. They offered advice when we couldn't decide on a color for the bathroom and they left everything spotless.

John Beers is a true professional and his crew does competent work. Work was of the highest quality and came in on time and on budget. John even came back after we moved in to repair some move in damage, no charge. Will definitely use them in the future.

Owner is very professional and personable. Came out, gave me a written estimate. Painting crew showed up on time and was quick and (for the most part) neat. Owner came next day to check on work and make sure we were satisfied. Made small repairs to floors that got scuffed and re-did a trim I didn't like on the spot for no extra charge. My only complaint was that sometimes we had a hard time communicating. He prefers email communication to any other form. Sometimes we missed each other b/c I was calling him while he was emailing me. Just be prepared to email a lot if you give your email address to him. Most importantly, the job done was beautiful.

I appreciated the quick and thorough reply from this company. I take that as a sign of professionalism that, hopefully, applies to all they do.

Their work was excellent and I plan to hire them again to paint my parlor, which recently suffered extensive damage to my plaster ceiling. He was also patient when a check was lost in the mail and I had to resend it. Excellent attitude and very professional crews. He also gave some suggestions for finishes that worked out very well.

I found John to be very professional. He was happy to provide multiple estimates as my plans evolved. The work took a number of days and each evening when I returned from work the place was very tidy. I chose this company mainly because they promise everything from soup to nuts i.e. no prep work for me. The whole process was painless for me. I have recommended them to friends.

John (owner) met us at our condo to get a sense of the space and our initial color options on a Thursday. He assisted us with some color ideas, left us with a color book and asked us to email final color choices by the end of the weekend. I emailed him our colors on Sunday afternoon. By Monday night, the job was done.

OVERALL, THEY WERE WONDERFUL. THE WALLS LOOK BEAUTIFUL. THEIR PRICE WAS FAIR, CONSIDERING THE QUALITY OF WORK. THEY EVEN CAME BACK LATER TO DO TOUCH UPS IF I NEEDED OR TO CLEAN THE WALLS.
